Enormous Number Of Trump’s Financial Documents Are In The Hands Of NY Prosecutors: Report

Everywhere he turns, failed, one-term former President Donald Trump sees prosecutors taking a close look at this business dealings and personal finances, both of which have been rumored to be filled with all sorts of criminal infractions that could send him, members of his family, and top Trump Organization officials to prison for decades.

So it should surprise no one that many people have come forward to provide evidence and testimony against the Donald. And those individuals may wind up being the key to the case against the former president.

One such person is Jennifer Weisselberg, the daughter-in-law of a top official at the Trump Organization.

Back in March, we learned that Ms. Weisselberg had handed over documents to investigators:

“Weisselberg, now a cooperating witness in investigations into former President Donald Trump’s finances, said she ultimately got seven boxes of financial documents and gave them to investigators last fall.

“‘They picked up documents many times. They ended up taking seven boxes of my documents and scanning them, going through them,’ she told Insider, adding that ‘they took depositions, they took checks, routing numbers, bank-account [information], and things like that.'”

But that’s not all the news regarding Jennifer Weisselberg, the Washington Post notes. It turns out she has also been asked to hand over even more information:

“Investigators from the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, acting on a grand jury subpoena, took possession of financial records Thursday morning from the apartment of Jennifer Weisselberg, the former daughter-in-law of a top Trump Organization officer.

“Jennifer Weisselberg was married to Barry Weisselberg — the son of Trump Organization Chief Financial Officer Allen Weisselberg — from 2004 to 2018 … On Thursday, she loaded three boxes and a laptop computer onto a valet cart and wheeled them from her building to a black Jeep with dark-tinted windows that was waiting outside.”

The latest move by Manhattan D.A. Cyrus Vance, Jr. indicates that his office is focusing in on Allen Weisselberg, who has been Chief Financial Officer of the Trump Organization for decades.

What exactly did Ms. Weisselberg hand over to Vance’s investigators? She told the Post:

“’My knowledge of the documents and my voice connect the flow of money from various banks and from personal finances that bleed directly into the Trump Organization,’ she said in an interview Thursday. Investigators, she added, now have her ex-husband’s 2019 and 2020 statements of net worth, his tax returns and copies of Wollman Rink checks from private events that she claims were deposited incorrectly.”

This latest development is the worst possible news for Donald Trump, who has steadfastly maintained his innocence yet also refused to hand over financial documents that would clear him if he were as guilt-free as he claims.

White House Throws Major Shade At Trump With Statement On Release Of Joe Biden’s 2020 Tax Return

Monday was officially Tax Day for American taxpayers. Millions of us had to make sure we got our returns into the IRS before the midnight deadline.

As you might expect, the tax deadline also applies to the president of the United States, but during the Trump administration there was a running joke that even if the Donald did actually file a return, he probably did so under protest and may have even taken Internal Revenue to court in order to avoid having to fork over the money.

That’s what makes the statement from the Biden administration regarding the current president’s tax returns even more brilliant in the way it’s clearly meant to throw some epic shade at the previous head of state. Just take a look at this:

Now THAT’S what you call professional trolling, and it was an enormous hit on social media, where you could almost hear people standing and applauding:

Kudos to the White House. Well done.

Nunes And Jordan Are Up To Their Necks In Giuliani’s Latest Criminal Scandal

Now that over a month has passed since the FBI served search warrants on the home and office of Rudy Giuliani, new information is coming to light which suggests that the long-term fallout from the Justice Department’s investigation into the former mayor of New York City may also present major legal problems for two Republican members of Congress: Rep. Devin Nunes (CA) and Rep. Jim Jordan (OH).

Nunes name came up when it was revealed that not only did the FBI serve warrants on Giuliani, but also attorney Victoria Toensing, which led former federal prosecutor Daniel Goldman to respond to some tweets regarding Toensing also being on the warrant list:

That shows Nunes is also caught in the conspiracy that the DOJ is now starting to unravel.

As for Jordan, we since learned that he took $3,000 in contributions from Guiliani. That means he’ll also be getting a visit from the FBI very soon, if he hasn’t already.

Jordan was already facing a very uncertain run for another term in Congress next year, and when it was revealed that he’d taken, his likely Democratic challenger, Jeff Sites, remarked:

“It is beyond outrageous that Jim Jordan accepted money from the target of an active federal investigation. It would be improper for any member of Congress, but especially for Jordan, who helps lead the committee supervising the Justice Department while it conducts this probe.”

So while Rudy may be the one currently in the crosshairs, if Nunes and Jordan played any role whatsoever in Giuliani’s crimes, you can bet they’re going to be placed under the microscope, too.

Oh, there’s also the chance that Giuliani will roll over on Donald Trump and result in him being charged. That’s the only card the former president’s attorney has left to play.

Could Rudy wind up destroying the GOP? It’s beginning to look that way.

Steve Bannon’s Legal Problems Have Gone From Bad To Worse

When Donald Trump handed him a presidential pardon in the final days of the Trump administration, Steve Bannon probably thought he was in the clear legally and could stop worrying about being sent to prison.

But Bannon was very wrong.

The Washington Post reports that federal prosecutors are refusing to erase his indictment for fraud:

“The U.S. attorney’s office in Manhattan, which is preparing for trial against three of Bannon’s co-defendants in an alleged border wall fundraising scam, is seeking an ‘administrative’ termination of Bannon’s case, which would halt the prosecution against him for good but would not clear his name from the docket. The case would officially remain pending while the others, who were not pardoned by Trump before he left office in January, await trial.”

That’s not the only legal jeopardy Bannon finds himself in, as Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. is also considering whether or not he’ll seek an indictment against the former White House aide for his scheme to embezzle money from his failed “Build the Wall” scheme which turned out to be nothing but a con job:

“Following Bannon’s pardon, which covers only federal charges, the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office began its own investigation of the alleged scam, raising the possibility that Bannon could face state fraud charges. If his case remains open in federal court, it is not expected to affect the ability of state prosecutors to file charges.”

Could Bannon be facing charges in both federal and state court? He most certainly could, and since he and his attorneys are likely to litigate the federal case against him in light of his pardon from Trump, the chances increase that if he’s found guilty, Bannon could be serving his time at Attica or Sing Sing, two of the most infamous prisons in the country.

Bannon probably thought being connected to and working for Donald Trump would bring him fame and fortune. Instead, it has resulted in him facing the prospect of spending a large portion of what remains of his life incarcerated.

Maxine Waters Slams Fox News For Telling A Blatant Lie About Her

Much like the failed, one-term loser POTUS they fervently supported and lauded over the course of four years, Fox News is also fond of attacking strong black women or any woman who dares to speak her mind, especially if that woman holds a position of political power.

Two days ago, Fox proved just how much they despise Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) by publishing a story alleging that she had demanded protection from federal air marshals on a flight she took from Washington, D.C. to Minneapolis to attend the trial of Derek Chauvin, who was later convicted in the death of George Floyd.

Sonya Hightower LoBasco, executive director of the Air Marshal National Council, told Fox that Waters “was already accompanied by two armed Capitol Police and two U.S. Secret Service agents when she allegedly requested two air marshals and two more marshals on touchdown to escort her in the airport.”

However, officials with the U.S. Secret Service and Capitol Police denied that allegation, leading Waters to aim her fire at the right-wing network, telling the Grio:

“Fox News is an organization that charades as a news outlet while manufacturing lies, claiming them as truths, and using their platform that reaches millions of Americans as a vessel to spread misinformation. It is no surprise that the targets of Fox’s misinformation campaigns include women of color like me, other people of color, and anyone who dares to speak the truth.”

Waters added that she’s considering filing a lawsuit against Fox, and she slam dunked them perfectly with this tweet:

The report from Fox News has also led to death threats against Waters, she revealed, Yahoo News notes:

“The caller who claimed to be from Louisiana referred to her as the n-word and said she deserved to be ‘hung by a rope for treason.’

“‘I pray for your death every day just like you prayed for the fucking conviction of an officer who is not guilty,’ the caller said. ‘So, go fuck yourself and go shove your face into some dough, in the kitchen, and make some gorilla cookies, bitch… Fuck you Maxine Waters…'”

Despite the threats, Waters says she won’t be silenced:

“My life is constantly threatened by racists, haters, and ill-informed people under the influence of the likes of Fox News. If in fact I lose my life because of these scurrilous attacks in the fight against injustice and racism, my life will not have been lost in vain.”

Fox News is a cancer on this country. Their lies are partially responsible for the insurrection we saw at the U.S. Capitol earlier this year. Here’s hoping Maxine Waters does indeed file suit against them.
