Matt Gaetz Gets Humiliated When He Tries To Boot McCarthy As Speaker

Shortly after the House of Representatives managed to pass a 45-day spending bill that will prevent a shutdown of the federal government, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) was ready to give Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) the boot by calling for a motion to vacate the speakership.

Gaetz has been threatening to remove McCarthy all week if he and his extreme right-wing GOP allies didn’t get everything they wanted in the spending bill, CNN reported.

With the clock ticking down toward a government shutdown, Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz approached a Democratic lawmaker on the House floor this week with a surprising pitch.

Gaetz, who has been threatening Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s speakership almost daily, explained that his rebellion is motivated by a desire to find new leadership that keeps their word, tells the truth, and adheres to regular order – a message that this Democrat described to CNN as “utterly reasonable.”

Gaetz then floated veteran Republican Rep. Tom Cole of Oklahoma and House GOP Whip Tom Emmer of Minnesota as two alternative examples he had in mind, and then attempted to gauge whether this member would be open to supporting an effort to oust McCarthy. The Democrat told CNN there’s been internal discussions about a wide range of potential asks – from power-sharing agreements to policy ideas.

But while Gaetz had every intention of calling a dismissal vote minutes after the spending package passed late Saturday, he was quickly ignored and then completely shut down on the House floor, according to Jake Sherman of Punchbowl News.

“WOW…. BICE motioned to adjourn the House Shortly before the gavel dropped, GAETZ tried to get the attention of WOMACK who was in the chair. GAVEL DROPPED before Gaetz could be recognized.”

That set off a wave of internet mockery aimed squarely at the confrontational Gaetz.

Poor Matt. Maybe he find some underage girls to help ease his humiliation.

Jack Smith Mocks Trump With New Court Filing: ‘He Demands Special Treatment’

A Friday evening court filing from Special Counsel Jack Smith makes clear that failed former president Donald Trump is facing serious legal consequences for recent comments he’s made, including a suggestion that former Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman, Gen. Mark Milley, deserved the death penalty for disagreeing with the insecure manbaby ex-U.S. head of state.

According to ABC News, the filing was in response to a motion from Trump’s attorneys opposing a possible gag order that would be imposed by U.S. District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan, and it referenced the death threat aimed at Milley as well as an apparent purchase of a gun by the disgraced former president during a campaign stop in South Carolina this week.

“Since [the] date [the government proposed the gag order], the defendant has continued to make statements that pose a substantial likelihood of material prejudice to this case and that fall within the narrowly tailored order proposed by the Government,” Smith’s office writes.

The filing specifically flags to DC district judge Tanya Chutkan in a footnote that earlier this week when Trump was visiting a firearms dealer in South Carolina — he was “caught potentially violating his conditions of release” by saying he was going to buy a Glock and posing with it.

Threats against Milley, a potential witness against Trump, could potentially have negative effects on jurors, too, Smith’s filing warns.

“The defendant’s baseless attacks on the Court and two individual prosecutors not only could subject them to threats—it also could cause potential jurors to develop views about the propriety of the prosecution, an improper consideration for a juror prior to trial,” Smith’s filing says.

“Likewise, the defendant’s continuing public statements about witnesses are substantially likely to materially prejudice a fair trial.”

Trump and his attorneys have asserted that Smith is seeking to “silence” him in violation of his First Amendment rights to free speech. To that, Smith’s office countered, “All (a gag order) would limit is the defendant’s use of his candidacy as a cover for making prejudicial public statements about this case—and there is no legitimate need for the defendant, in the course of his campaign, to attack known witnesses regarding the substance of their anticipated testimony or otherwise engage in materially prejudicial commentary in violation of the proposed order.”

Smith and his prosecutors also make it clear that Trump wants special treatment, which is unheard of for a criminal defendant charged with 91 separate felony counts.

“[Trump] demands special treatment, asserting that because he is a political candidate, he should have free rein to publicly intimidate witnesses and malign the Court, citizens of this District, and prosecutors.

“But in this case, Donald J. Trump is a criminal defendant like any other.”

Judge Chutkan is expected to issue a ruling on the limited gag order as soon as next week.

Hillary Clinton Just Won An Emmy Award – So Of Course Conservatives Are Pitching A Fit

Already one of the most accomplished women in the world, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton just added a major accomplishment to hear already impressive resume: An Emmy award.

Mrs. Clinton and her daughter, Chelsea, were given an Emmy for Outstanding Politics and Government Documentary, according to HuffPost.

The two executive-produced the Netflix documentary “In Her Hands” with several others, making them “statue-eligible,” an official told The Hollywood Reporter.

The film follows Zarifa Ghafari, who at age 26 became the youngest female mayor in the history of Afghanistan. She served in the turbulent times before the Taliban recaptured the country.

“As Western forces withdraw, Afghanistan’s youngest female mayor braves mortal danger to lead a fight for education for the next generation of Afghans,” the Netflix summary reads.

Chelsea Clinton had this to say about the honor:

“So proud to be part of the ‘In Her Hands’ team, and to tell the remarkable story of Zarifa Ghafari, the youngest female mayor in the history of Afghanistan.”

Mrs. Clinton also took to Twitter to say how pleased she was by the Emmy.

We just won an Emmy! I’m thrilled that “In Her Hands,” HiddenLightPrd’s documentary telling the story of Zarifa Ghafari, Afghanistan’s youngest female mayor, has been recognized in the news and documentary category.

The former first lady already had a Grammy to her credit, and now she adds an Emmy. Could a Tony and Oscar also be in her future?

Again, it’s a wonderful honor for the Clintons, but it drew the predictable anger and bitterness from conservatives and right-wing nutjobs on social media.

Outgoing Joint Chiefs Chairman Throws Shade At Trump During Retirement Ceremony

Gen. Mark Milley, the outgoing Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, threw some shade at failed one-term, twice-impeached, and four-time indicted ex-president Donald Trump during a speech at his retirement ceremony today.

Milley — who Trump recently suggested deserved the death penalty for daring to disagree with him — told those gathered for his retirement from the highest military position in the government that every member of the military takes a solemn oath to the Constitution, not to a person or even a president.

“We don’t take an oath to a king or a queen, or to a tyrant or a dictator — and we don’t take an oath to a wannabe dictator,” Milley said, clearly referring to Trump’s attempt to remain in power despite having lost the 2020 election to President Joe Biden. “We don’t take our oath to an individual. We take an oath to the Constitution, and we take an oath to the idea that is America, and we’re willing to die to protect it.”

Milley revealed earlier this week that after Trump made his death threat, he was forced to get additional security for his family, telling Norah O’Donnell of CBS News, “I wish those comments had not been made, but they were. We will take appropriate measures to ensure my safety and the safety of my family.”

Gen. Milley is a American hero and a patriot who deserves this nation’s respect and thanks.

Donald Trump, on the other hand, is a coward, a traitor, and deserves to spend the rest of his life behind bars.

WTF?!

Donald Trump Jr’s High School Nickname Is Hilarious And Humiliating

There are few people on the face of the planet who are as disgusting and objectionable as former president Donald Trump, but his namesake son is certainly in the running.

Donald Trump Jr. is always looking for ways to be an ass-kissing sycophant to his old man. Maybe that’s just so he won’t be written out of the will or because he sees his own asshole self in his father.

Looking backwards, you can often see how a person became who they are, and that’s the case with Don Jr., whose high school yearbook perfectly explains how he came to be the clueless, adulterous jackass he is today, according to OK! Magazine:

“One of Don Jr.’s yearbook quotes explains a lot about what he’s learned from his father, Donald Trump, over the years. ‘It takes a big man to admit he’s wrong and I’m not a big man. -Fletch,’ reads a quote underneath a portrait of his younger self on a page, obtained exclusively by OK!, from his yearbook.

“Don Jr. attended The Hill School, a boarding school located in Pottstown, Pa., before enrolling at the University of Pennsylvania.”

Be sure and note the nicknames Junior had in high school, too. One of them is “stank.” It’s impossible to know what exactly that means without confirmation from Don Jr., but it does match with something we learned about Junior when he was in college at the University of Pennsylvania:

“While an undergraduate at the University of Pennsylvania, Trump Jr. reportedly earned a reputation around campus for his rowdy, inebriated habits — notably, passing out in his classmates’ rooms, and wetting their beds.

“Diaper Don would wake up in some stranger’s dorm room or off-campus apartment or bedroom in his frat house, covered in piss, walk back to his own room, and get blitzed that evening or the next anew.”

So, the next time you happen to be on social media and want to get under Don Jr’s skin, remember to use “stank” and “Diaper Don.” Or you can just post that yearbook picture and ask him: What in the hell were you thinking with that hair?!
