Republican Says Kamala Harris Needs To Be Impeached Because She’s ‘Always Laughing’

If you thought you’d heard all of the preposterous reasons Republicans can possibly come up with for why they don’t like Vice President Kamala Harris (hint: it’s because she’s black), consider what a caller had to say on the C-SPAN program Washington Journal.

The caller identified himself as Rory from California, and it didn’t take long before he was prattling on about the 25th Amendment and how a member of the GOP could rise to the White House.

“I think Harris will never be competent and if the 25th Amendment is used against Biden then she might become the president. So, I think the 25th Amendment will get rid of Biden. And then she may be impeached and then you’ll get a Republican who is now the head of the House.”

Host Bill Scanlan asked, “What would she be impeached on, Rory?”

Rory suggested it would be because Harris is “always laughing.”

“Incompetence; always laughing like a fool. And never doing anything. Spending money on things that don’t go. And they need to close [the border] — I mean, really put real barriers if necessary with guns to stop aliens from coming over, especially the drug cartels more than the people who want a better life.”

The only reason Harris could be impeached, according to the U.S. Constitution, is for “high crimes and misdemeanors.” Last time I checked, laughing didn’t fit into either of those categories.

Again, the reason conservatives despise Harris is because she’s a strong, successful black woman, as Color of Change President Arisha Hatch noted during an interview with the Los Angeles Times:

“If it weren’t her laugh, it’d be her smile or the way she dressed.”

But it’s really all about the color of her skin and her gender. That’s what irks Republicans the most.

Watch Kamala Harris Smack Down Chuck Todd For Saying Prosecuting Trump Would Be ‘Divisive’

Vice President Kamala Harris wasn’t about to let NBC News host Chuck Todd get away with suggesting that if the Justice Department prosecutes former president Donald Trump for violating the law by hoarding classified documents, it would be “too divisive.”

In an exclusive interview that will air Sunday on “Meet the Press,” Todd repeatedly tried to get Harris to say that it would be a bad idea to charge Trump.

It began when Todd asked:

“How much should President — former President Trump’s status as a former president and a potential 2024 candidate, how much should that factor into the decision to charge him?”

Harris:

 “Well, I wouldn’t dare tell the Department of Justice what to do. As a former prosecutor, I will tell you, I’ve — my — I am not in the business of telling a prosecutor what to do with their case because they know best the facts and the evidence as applied to the law. And so I’m not going to tell them what to do. And certainly the president and I and our administration, unlike the previous administration, have been very, very careful to make sure that there is no question about any kind of interference in terms of the decisions that the Department of Justice makes —”

Once again, Todd tried to trip up the VP:

“But let’s — let me, let me try to go to 60,000 feet. What do you say to the argument that it would be too divisive for the country to prosecute a former president?”

That’s when Harris lowered the boom on Todd:

“I think that our country is a country that has gone through different periods of time where the unthinkable has happened, and where there has been a call for justice, and justice has been served. And I think that’s potentially going to always be the case in our country that people are going to demand justice and they rightly do.”

They most certainly are going to demand justice, especially for a man who has repeatedly dodged having to pay the price for his many alleged crimes.

New Poll Shows Biden And Harris Both Beat Trump – Biden Also Beats DeSantis

Both President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris would beat failed, one-term former president Donald Trump in a head-to-head matchup according to a new Yahoo! News/YouGov poll.

Mediaite reports:

Head-to-head, Biden beats Trump by two points, 41 percent to 39 percent. And despite heavy buzz for DeSantis, Biden beats the Florida governor by an even wider margin in this poll, 40% to 36%.

The survey did not include a head-to-head between VP Harris and DeSantis, but the veep does beat Trump by a point, 42 percent to 41 percent.

Andrew Harris, Yahoo News West Coast Correspondent, notes that voters are not excited about either Biden or Trump getting a second term in office:

In a striking expression of the profound pessimism and polarization currently afflicting U.S. politics — as well as a growing aversion to both parties’ presidential front-runners — a plurality of registered voters now say it would be “the worst thing that could happen” if either President Biden (39%) or former President Donald Trump (41%) were to win the White House again in 2024, according to a new Yahoo News/YouGov poll.

A closer look inside the Yahoo!/YouGov poll also shows just how fatalistic respondents are about both Biden and Trump if they are reelected:

Respondents were also given a chance to say that either president’s reelection would be “mostly bad,” “mostly good,” “a mix of good and bad” or “I’m not sure.”

More chose “the worst thing that could happen” than any other option.

The Latest Manufactured Scandal From Fox News: The Vice President’s ‘Insulting’ Handshake

Not content to call President Joe Biden senile or accuse him of supporting “socialist” policies, the gang at Fox News are now trying to create a scandal involving the way Vice President Kamala Harris shook hands with South Korean President Moon Jae-in, which they reported thusly on their website:

“Many Americans have become more germ-conscious since the start of the coronavirus pandemic last year – but Vice President Kamala Harris may have made her apparent concerns too conspicuous.

“Harris was caught on camera Friday immediately wiping her right hand on her jacket after shaking hands with South Korean President Moon Jae-in at the White House.”

As “proof” that Harris had indeed insulted the South Korean leader, Fox cited a Twitter account with 208 followers that was created in March of this year. How’s that for credibility!

This so-called dissing of the South Korean leader is merely the latest horrific faux pas made by the VP, according to Fox, which also referred to videos of her not saluting military personnel while boarding a plane:

One tiny problem, however: Harris has saluted the troops when boarding a flight, so that sort of destroys Fox’s supporting evidence:

Handshake issue put to rest, right? Oh no! Fox couldn’t let it alone, even going so far as to devote an entire segment to the matter on “Outnumbered,” their blatantly sexist attempt at T&A where several female co-hosts debate issues with one man. Apparently that’s what passes for enlightened conversation at Rupert Murdoch’s network.

Host Rowan Dean was practically giddy as he lit into the Vice President:

“Awful stuff and of course had it been Donald Trump do you imagine the outrage that would have occurred? It would have been the end of the world, but Kamala Harris, nobody bats an eye.”

Trump did even worse. He saluted a North Korean officer while conducting a propaganda summit with North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un:

Where was the Fox News outrage over that? All we got was crickets from them when it transpired.

The real crime Kamala Harris has committed that outrages Fox and their right-wing viewers the most is her audacity for being a smart, strong woman of color. That’s the biggest crime of all to a conservative.
