Jen Psaki Has The Perfect Comeback After Ron DeSantis Calls Biden A ‘Power-Hungry Tyrant’

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) wants to be president so damn badly! How badly? Enough so that he’s willing to let thousands of Floridians die of COVID-19 while he pretends that everything is just fine in the Sunshine State. He insists mask mandates won’t be allowed on his watch, no matter how many children and senior citizens wind up on ventilators and die in complete isolation, unable to see their families as they take their last, labored breath.

So it should come as no surprise that DeSantis would snipe at the current resident of the White House, President Joe Biden, simply because Biden made this remark on Wednesday while discussing the rise in COVID cases being seen in the states of Florida and Texas:

“I say to these governors: Please help. But if you aren’t going to help, at least get out of the way. The people are trying to do the right thing. Use your power to save lives.”

Biden is trying to save lives, even in Republican-controlled states, because he’s doing what he promised he’d do when he was running in 2020: Be a president for all Americans.

How did DeSantis react to Biden’s remarks? Like a spoiled child. Like a man who cannot accept constructive criticism. We’ve had a president like that, and his name was Donald Trump. He’s one of the main reasons we’re in the fix we see before us right now as it pertains to the coronavirus.

DeSantis told reporters this while he was visiting Panama City and was asked about what the president had said:

“Why don’t you do your job. Why don’t you get this border secured, and until you do that I don’t want to hear a blip about Covid from you.”

Shortly after DeSantis made that snippy soundbite, he was also using it to try and raise money for his reelection efforts in 2022, sending out a blast email in which he pretended to be a tough guy:

“Joe Biden has the nerve to tell me to get out of the way on COVID while he lets COVID-infected migrants pour over our southern border by the hundreds of thousands. No elected official is doing more to enable the transmission of COVID in America than Joe Biden with his open borders policies.”

The governor wants us to believe the reason COVID is spreading is because of immigrants coming into the United States, though he has never presented a scintilla of evidence to support his allegation. He’s bullshitting. He’s lying. He’s using hatred and fear of “the other” to try and cover up his own heartlessness and incompetence.

Or, to put it another way, Ron DeSantis is pulling a Trump.

But White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki had the perfect response to Gov. DeSantis, telling reporters at Thursday’s daily press briefing:

“25% of hospitalizations in the country are in Florida.

“It is also a fact that the governor has taken steps that are counter to public health recommendations. So, we’re here to state the facts. Frankly, our view is that this is too serious, deadly serious to be doing partisan name calling. That’s what we’re not doing here, we’re focused on providing public health data information to the people of Florida, to make sure they understand what steps they should be taking, even if those are not steps taken at the top of the leadership in that state.”

That’s how you deal with an empty suit, wannabe tough guy like Ron DeSantis. The governor should be ashamed of himself. But to feel shame, you have to possess a conscience. Clearly, DeSantis has no conscience. Just hubris, bluster, and bile.

Congress Coronavirus GOP WTF?!

Asked About Americans Dying Of COVID, Marjorie Taylor Greene Laughs Maniacally

Based on the things she’s said and done since she first announced she would be running for Congress, there are some things we already know about Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA):

  • She’s willfully ignorant
  • She’s a shameless self-promoter
  • She has the common sense of wet burlap
  • She’s fond of conspiracy theories

But based on remarks Greene made Tuesday during a press conference held at her office, we can add another fact to what we know about the Georgia congresswoman: She’s a heartless asshole who doesn’t give two hoots in hell about anyone but herself.

It began when Greene told reporters:

“With 6,000 vax related deaths and many concerning side effects reported, the (COVID-19) vax should be a choice not a mandate for everyone.”

Mediate reports that at Greene’s Tuesday presser, Tim Mitchell of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution asked her:

“Do you feel any responsibility for keeping people in Georgia safe? There are children, skinny people, who have died of coronavirus. Do you feel any responsibility?”

Greene’s response was to begin laughing. Not just a chuckle, mind you, but a genuine maniacal laugh before she finally managed to reply:

“Gee, you crack me up.

“You know what? I think people’s responsibility is their own to read the information, and it’s everywhere.”

Notice how she didn’t actually answer the question? She has no logical answer or fact to provide, so she resorts to a bullshit response that only serves to prove what a foolish and dangerous person she truly is.

Another reporter asked the congresswoman if she had been vaccinated, and Greene began spouting outright nonsense about how the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) prevented her from saying one way or the other on that query:

“(That) is a violation of my HIPAA rights. You see, with HIPAA rights, we don’t have to reveal our medical records and that also involves our vaccine records.”

Not even a little bit true, as Mediate noted:

“Under HIPAA, healthcare providers may not provide medical information about patients to third parties without patient consent. It does not apply to individuals or entities who aren’t healthcare providers. Moreover, it is not a “violation” of the law to ask someone if they have been vaccinated.”

Marjorie Taylor Greene is a waste of flesh and oxygen. She’s also a heartless ghoul with blood on her hands.

Coronavirus Joe Biden WTF?!

MyPillow CEO Says Joe Biden Is Injecting Americans With The ‘Mark Of The Beast’

If you’ve watched more than a half-hour of cable TV in recent years, you’ve seen Mike Lindell, the CEO of MyPillow, hawking his poorly-made, ridiculously priced pillows and mattress toppers, none of which are worth a damn.

Lindell is also known as being one of the most deranged Donald Trump supporters on the face of the planet, even though the pillow man claims to be a born-again Christian and no real Christian would ever support someone as immoral and downright evil as the failed, one-term former president.

Recently, Lindell made appearances on internet talk shows to trumpet his latest prediction that Trump will be magically reinstated as head of state on August 13, even though Lindell has made previous predictions of dates for Trump’s “reinstatement” that never panned out:

But it was what Lindell said during an interview with former White House adviser Steve Bannon that proved the MyPillow guy has clearly been smoking whatever those pillows are made of, telling Bannon that reports the Biden administration is planning to send people door-to-door to dispel myths about the COVID-19 vaccine in the hope of getting more Americans vaccinated.

That plan, Lindell insisted, is a horrible thing:

“I had heard rumors of that in Spain way early on that they were going to make this big master list. And that’s why I’ve said before, it’s mark of the beast in my mind. That’s my opinion. That’s — that’s where — that’s in the Bible, that’s where it’s manifesting to. I mean when you tell people ‘you have to take this’ — I did a speech over to people in Israel, this is about a ‘couple months ago. And they were trying to do their — everybody needs to take this and I’m arguing with some higher-ups. I said, ‘If the, if you want to take it, good for you, special K, good for you. But why do you care that if it’s such a good vaccine what I do?”

And then Lindell went full Bible-thumper and added:

“Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name. This calls for wisdom: let the one who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is 666.”

The Mark of the Beast, huh? Problem is, the Bible clearly states the “mark of the beast” will be on the forehead or the hand, not on the arm where a vaccine is administered. But, hey, since when are pretend Christians right about anything in the book they claim is the foundation of their religion?

Sorry, Mike, but your god is Donald Trump, and if he’s not “the Beast,” then there’s no such thing and your “faith” is just as bogus as you are.

Coronavirus Joe Biden U.S. Senate WTF?!

Rand Paul Gets Branded The ‘Stupidest Senator’ After Calling For Joe Biden To Burn His Mask

Here’s a question for you: Who do you consider to be the stupidest person in the entire U.S. Senate? Ted Cruz? Josh Hawley?

Or might it be Rand Paul (R-KY)? That seems to be the general consensus after Paul suggested that President Joe Biden “burn his mask” as a way of encouraging Americans to get vaccinated for COVID-19.

HuffPost notes that Paul made his idiotic remarks during an appearance on Fox News:

“If you want more people to get vaccinated, Joe Biden should go on national TV, take his mask off and burn it.

“Light a torch to it and burn his mask and say, ‘I’ve had the vaccine, I am now safe from this plague. If you get the vaccine, you can be safe, too.'”

Sen. Paul made his absurd suggestion in response to remarks from Dr. Anthony Fauci that vaccinated people can still infect others with coronavirus and therefore should continue to wear masks as a protective measure.

President Biden said the same thing Wednesday: Masks will be necessary “until the number of cases go down, until everyone has a chance to get their shot.”

Additionally, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says the only people who should go without a mask is very limited:

“Those who have been fully vaccinated can go maskless inside with other fully vaccinated people or ‘one household of unvaccinated people who are not at risk for severe illness.'”

For his stupidity, Rand Paul was pelted with derision on social media:

https://twitter.com/Bjb2743Brian/status/1385252649658896386?s=20

Rand Paul is a joke. No wonder he keeps getting reelected in the Bluegrass State.

Trump Slapped With $1 Trillion Lawsuit For The Enormous U.S. COVID Death Toll

Everywhere he looks, failed, one-term former President Donald Trump sees legal obstacles, any one of which may wind up leading to him being put on trial and having to serve major prison time.

Now there’s a new legal problem for Trump, and this one could well send him to the poorhouse.

NewJersey.com reports that the Donald is being sued for the sum of $1 trillion for the way he mishandled the COVID-19 pandemic, and the person who filed the lawsuit isn’t even an attorney. Instead, he’s a convicted murderer who’s currently on parole:

“Arnett Thomas never thought he would be battling Donald Trump in court.

“Thomas, now 71, disabled and living in a government-sponsored housing complex in Orange came to file a lawsuit in federal court in Newark that blames Trump for America’s massive — and growing — COVID-19 death toll.”

Thomas wastes no time explaining why he’s decided to file such a lawsuit, and he doesn’t spare any words:

“The former president literally became the very domestic enemy to the Constitution he swore to defend.

“The point of all of this is how Trump dealt with the pandemic. He drove people to dying.”

The punishment should fit the crime, Thomas believes. And since nearly 570,000 Americans are already dead from the disease, $1 trillion sounds like a fitting amount.

Even though Thomas wrote the lawsuit himself, he’s currently seeking to have an attorney take the case. And he’s also managed to round up 75 co-plaintiffs so far, but that number will probably increase as news of the suit begins to spread.

Thomas also believes that if Trump had done his job and battled the virus the way he should have, things would have been very different — for the nation and for the former president:

“Trump allowed the disease to spread. What he did was politically motivated. If Trump would have handled this pandemic in a proper way he would have been elected [again]. Trump got kicked out because of the way he handled it.”

Instead, Trump told the nation COVID would disappear just as quickly as it had arrived. He pooh-pooed the mounting death toll and muzzled medical experts such as Dr. Anthony Fauci. He failed to do what he promised to do when he took the oath of office: To protect the country from all enemies, foreign and domestic. There should be a price to pay for that.

When you think of it that way, $1 trillion doesn’t seem like nearly enough.
