Evidence Suggests Some Congressional Republicans Could Still Be Charged For Jan. 6

While it’s been clear for some time now that former President Donald Trump was directly involved in fomenting the violence that took place on January 6 at the U.S. Capitol, reporting from The New York Times suggests that some Republicans in Congress also played a role in the efforts to subvert the 2020 election and keep power through a violent uprising.

Specifically, the Times reveals that notes taken by a top deputy to then-Acting Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen point directly to a coordinated effort between Trump and members of Congress. Those notes, which were handwritten by deputy AG Richard Donoghue, report what Trump told Rosen:

“Just say that the election was corrupt + leave the rest to me and the R. Congressmen.”

That, many legal experts said, is a literal smoking gun, and it means that several Republicans in Congress are facing indictment for their role in what transpired on that fateful day.

Philip Bump of The Washington Post focused in on the notation from Donoghue:

“What Donoghue’s notes suggest is that Trump had fully bought into the effort that would eventually become his Alamo: having Republican legislators block the electoral-vote counting due to take place at the Capitol on Jan. 6.”

Failing to certify counting of the electoral votes would have resulted in a Constitutional crisis. The added chaos of a riot at the Capitol would have provided the perfect opportunity for Trump to declare a national emergency and refuse to hand over the reins of power to Joe Biden. It also would have provided an “excuse” for a coup d’etat. And it would have even had the blessing of a faction in Congress.

Once again, quoting Philip Bump:

“Some congressional Republicans clearly did their best to aid Trump’s effort. On the morning of Jan. 6, (Rep Mo) Brooks spoke before Trump at a rally outside the White House. It was time, he said, to ‘start taking down names and kicking ass.’ It’s not clear if any of those in attendance did the former, but some clearly did the latter.”

Brooks, along with Reps. Jim Jordan, Jim Banks, Lauren Boebert, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Kevin McCarthy (and perhaps others) may well find themselves charged with crimes by the Justice Department.

Cassidy Hutchinson Reveals That Trump Has A ‘Very Potent Fear’ Of Poison Ketchup

While he loves to put forth the false image that he’s a tough guy, failed former president Donald Trump is actually terrified that someone will kill him by slipping him poison, especially in ketchup, which he puts on nearly everything he eats.

That’s the word from Cassidy Hutchinson, who worked as an aide to Mark Meadows, who served as the last chief of staff in the Trump administration.

Making an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live Wednesday evening, Hutchinson revealed that Trump will only use ketchup from small bottles that have to be opened in his presence.

“So, he, Donald Trump has, I don’t know if you know this or if anybody’s this is I don’t know if… he does have a very potent fear of being poisoned.”

Kimmel: “Did not know he had a fear of being poisoned.”

Hutchinson continued:

“Well, now you do. Uh huh. So he uses and prefers the small Heinz glass bottles because he likes to hear his valet, whoever is serving him this meal. He likes to hear the pop when he …”

“Really? That’s why? I thought his hands were so little. It seemed like like a real ketchup bottle. Its for poisoning huh. Do you think he’s. got this fear of being poisoned from all the ex-wives or where did he…”

“Or is it Russia? I don’t know.” Hutchinson explained.

Kimmel, “Good to know. I don’t think Russia’s poisoning him.”

Donnie should be very paranoid. Hell, his kids are probably the biggest threat to his long-term health, if only because they want to get him out of the way so they can try and revive the company he’s on the verge of destroying.

Pete Buttigieg Eviscerates Trump For His Disgusting Remarks About Wounded Veterans

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg destroyed failed former president Donald Trump for comments he reportedly made while still in the White House suggesting he didn’t want wounded American veterans to be seen by the public while he was head of state.

The revelation about Trump’s comments came from a Atlantic profile of Gen. Mark Milley, who is retiring as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. According to Milley, Trump said “no one wants to see” wounded vets, which led the chairman to remark that he believed the ex-president’s attitude of those who served in the military to be “superficial, callous, and, at the deepest human level, repugnant.”

Buttigieg — who served in Afghanistan during his eight years in the Naval Reserve — was asked about the report by CNN host Dana Bash.

“I want to ask you about a new Atlantic profile that says that then President Trump complained to Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley after an Army veteran who lost a leg in combat sang at an event at the Pentagon,” Bash told Buttigieg. “Trump reportedly told Milley, ‘Why do you bring people like that here, no one wants to see that, the wounded.'”

“After that article came out, Trump attacked Milley on social media, kind of a rambling post, but suggested that milley deserved the death penalty. You’re a veteran– what’s your response?” she asked

Buttigieg responded:

“It’s just the latest in a pattern of outrageous attacks on the people who keep the country safe.”

The secretary added that veterans who suffer traumatic injuries from warfare should always be honored.

“These are the kind of people that deserve respect and a hell of a lot more than that from every American, and definitely from every American president.”

“And the idea that an American president, the person to whom service members look at as a commander in chief, and the person who sets the tone for this entire country could think that way or act that way or talk that way about anyone in uniform, and certainly about those who put their bodies on the line and sacrificed in ways that most Americans will never understand, and I guess wounded veterans make president Trump feel uncomfortable.”

Trump is a coward and a scumbag. He belongs in prison. He’s certainly not fit to be commander in chief of U.S. forces.

Trump’s Beloved Border Wall Is Being Washed Away By Rainstorms

Back when he announced he would for president in 2015, Donald Trump proudly declared that he was planning to build a massive wall on the U.S.-Mexico border:

“I will build a great wall—and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me—and I’ll build them very inexpensively. I will build a great, great wall on our southern border, and I will make Mexico pay for that wall. Mark my words.”

And Trump did build a wall of sorts, although it was actually more of a fence. But it wasn’t inexpensive, as he’d promised. Oh, and Mexico has yet to pony up a dime to pay for the wall.

As it turns out, the “great, great wall” isn’t so great after all, Gizmodo reports, because large sections of it are being ripped apart by rainstorms in the Southwest:

“Photos show former President Donald Trump’s border wall in deep disrepair after summer monsoon rains literally blew floodgates off their hinges.”

So what exactly happened? Simple. Like everything he’s ever done in his life, Trump did it half-assed and now the failure is being laid bare for all to see:

“In the rush to build the wall, Trump sidelined environmental and cultural protection laws. Those laws are meant to protect the natural world and historically significant artifacts and sites. But they also serve the purpose of ensuring multibillion-dollar construction projects don’t face catastrophic failures within a few years of being built.”

You may recall that Trump even diverted millions of dollars from the Department of Defense (even though Congress didn’t approve of his doing so), all so he could have a cheap wall/fence built that cannot even stand up to water. Hell, I have a privacy fence in my back yard that can likely handle rainwater better than the Trump wall does. And it’s made of wood, not the steel that the Donald demanded be used for his flimsy wall.

Now that we have a real president in the White House, the wall is no longer being constructed. Considering how poorly the portions that have been built are faring, that’s a wise move on the part of the Biden administration.

Oh, in case you were wondering, the wall has also been a disaster for the wildlife in the areas where it was constructed:

“That has created an environmental catastrophe for one of the most fragile ecosystems in North America, a place where the wildlife from the tropics, desert, and mountains mingle. Images captured during construction of iconic saguaros being razed as well as numerous environmental impact statements laid the risks bare, and Traphagen described camera trap photos his group has taken documenting everything from rare jaguars to common javelinas pacing along the wall in search of a way around.”

If there’s any justice in the world, nature will continue to take its toll and level the wall/fence much the same way the failed, one-term former president saw his political career cut short because the majority of Americans realized there was a monster in the Oval Office.

Or maybe we should take the wall, deconstruct it, and drop the pieces atop Mar-a-Lago from helicopters. Then Donnie can wall himself in and wait for the cops to show up and slap the cuffs on him.

Trump Says Retiring Joint Chiefs Chairman Mark Milley Deserves ‘DEATH!’ For Disagreeing With Him

Proving for the millionth time that he’s completely unfit for office and deserving of a long prison term, failed one-term, twice-impeached, and four-times indicted former president Donald Trump angrily lashed out at Gen. Mark Milley, who is retiring as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff next week.

Clearly triggered by a report from the Atlantic that revealed Milley and other top U.S. military officials had to try and restrain Trump from making monumental mistakes in both domestic and foreign policy, the disgraced ex-president suggested on his Truth Social site that Milley was deserving of death for daring to disagree with him.

“Mark Milley, who led perhaps the most embarrassing moment in American history with his grossly incompetent implementation of the withdrawal from Afghanistan, costing many lives, leaving behind hundreds of American citizens, and handing over BILLIONS of dollars of the finest military equipment ever made, will be leaving the military next week. This will be a time for all citizens of the USA to celebrate!”

He then added:

“This guy turned out to be a Woke train wreck who, if the Fake News reporting is correct, was actually dealing with China to give them a heads up on the thinking of the President of the United States. This is an act so egregious that, in times gone by, the punishment would have been DEATH! A war between China and the United States could have been the result of this treasonous act. To be continued!!!”

If Trump happens to win the 2024 election, expect him to turn this country into a police state reminiscent of Nazi Germany. He has no respect for any of the institutions that keep this nation safe, secure, and free.

Donald Trump belongs in prison for the rest of his life. It’s really that simple.
