A viral video of failed former president Donald Trump watching high school cheerleaders dance prior to Sunday’s Super Bowl is drawing strong commentary on social media, with many suggesting the disgraced ex-president should never be allowed near underage girls.
The video was posted by Trump’s deputy director of communications, Margo Martin, according to Newsweek.
Trump … briefly danced along to tunes played by a local high school band. The clip, taken at the Trump International Golf Course in Florida and posted on February 11, has been viewed over 236,000 times.
As you’d expect, Trump loyalists loved the video and complimented him on his moves.
Most commenters, however, were disgusted by the site of an accused sex offender and former BFF of the late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein with teenage girls.
In a blatant move meant to blunt criticism of his ongoing attacks on Ukraine, indicted war criminal Vladimir Putin agreed to sit down for an extensive interview with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson, who was dumped by the network in part for his lies about the 2020 election.
The interview, which lasts two hours, is little more than Putin trying to explain history to Carlson from the perspective of a Russian dictator who thinks he’s entitled to attack any country he wants and then claim self-defense.
One portion of the Putin-Carlson conversation has drawn the most interest because in it the Russian dictator clearly mocks Carlson, according to HuffPost.
In the conversation that dropped on X, formerly Twitter, Thursday, Putin had already blathered on about Russia and Ukraineโs history when he brought up the 2014 ouster of Kremlin-backed Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych after mass protests.
โWith the backing of CIA, of course, the organization you wanted to join back in the day, as I understand,โ Putin responded. โWe should thank God they didnโt let you in.โ
โAlthough it is a serious organization, I understand,โ he added.
Be sure and check out the look on Carlson’s face when Putin reminds him that he was rejected by the CIA. Some have described it as one of constipation.
Those who viewed the video on Twitter/X delighted in the burn Putin inflicted on Carlson.
Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) had his mic muted and interview ended when he began lying and spouting bullshit during a Sunday appearance on This Weekย with host George Stephanopoulos.
Stephanopoulos asked Vance about comments he’d made in a 2021 interview in which he declared, “I think that whatย Trumpย should do, like if I was giving him one piece of advice, fire every single mid-level bureaucrat, every civil servant in the administrative state, replace them with our people, and when the courts, because you will get taken to court, and then when the courts stop you, stand before the country like Andrew Jackson did and say the Chief Justice has made his ruling, now let him enforce it.”
“No, no, George, I did not say fire everyone in the government,” Vance insisted. “I said replace the mid-level bureaucrats with people who are responsive to the administration.”
“You said every civil servant in the administrative state,” Stephanopoulos noted.
“Let me finish the answer,” Vance replied. “If those people aren’t following the rules, then, of course, you’ve got to fire them, and, of course, the president has to be able to run the government as he thinks he should.”
“The Constitution also says the president must abide by legitimate Supreme Court rulings, doesn’t it?” Stephanopoulos inquired.
“You’re talking about a hypothetical where the Supreme Court tries to run the military,” Vance said. “I don’t think that’s gonna happen, George, but, of course, if it did, the president would have to respond to it.”
“You didn’t say military in your answer, and you’ve made it very clear,” the ABC host countered. “You believe the president can defy the Supreme Court.”
“No, no, no, no, George.”
Vance’s mic was cut at that point and the program went to another segment.
J.D. Vance, like almost every member of today’s GOP, is a hack who would gladly approve of a right-wing president ruling the United States like a modern-day Caesar. And that alone is reason enough to vote them all out.
Lara Trump, the daughter-in-law of failed one-term former president Donald Trump, performed a cover version of the late Tom Petty’s 1989 song, “I Won’t Back Down” recently at Mar-a-Lago.
A video of the performance was posted on Twitter/X by Ron Filipkowski.
The video has gone viral.
But while the crowd at Mar-a-Lago may look like they’re enjoying Lara’s vocal stylings, that enthusiasm wasn’t shared by many who viewed the performance online.
During a 15-hour long hearing of the House Homeland Security Committee on Tuesday evening to discuss the impeachment of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, Rep. Rob Menendez (D-NJ) excoriated his Republican colleagues for using the issue of border security to boost their likely 2020 presidential nominee, Donald Trump.
According to HuffPost, Menendez “said the House Homeland Security Committee has held 17 hearings on the border, but zero full committee hearings on other issues within its jurisdiction such as emergency preparedness, cyber threats, infrastructure protection and more.”
Former GOP Rep. Liz Cheney (WY) revealed in her 2023 book that Rep. Mark Green (R-TN) referred to Trump as the Orange Jesus. Green is now chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee.
Menendez went on to call the impeachment hearings a “sham,” adding, โIโve tried to listen here. I try to be a team player, I really do. I try not to engage in the partisanship. But Iโve had it.โ
Video of Menendez’s comments has garnered over 170,000 views and drew praise on social media.
