New Poll Shows Lauren Boebert Is On The Verge Of Losing In November

One of the most controversial (and useless) Republicans in Congress is on the verge of losing her seat, according to a new poll.

Axios reports that the race between Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) is now statistically tied with her Democratic challenger, Adam Frisch. The election is now just 34 days away.

Boebert received support from 47% of likely voters, while Democrat Adam Frisch landed at 45% — making the race a statistical tie within the ±4.4 percentage point margin of error.

7% of voters are undecided, per the poll.

Even more surprising is that Frisch has gained ground in just a few months time, putting him well within range of beating Boebert.

The survey, taken Sept. 2–Oct. 2 by Keating Research, a Democratic firm and one of the most accurate pollsters in Colorado, represents a 5-point swing toward Frisch. In July, Boebert held a 49%-42% advantage.

Unaffiliated voters — those not aligned with a major political party — strongly dislike Boebert, who’s known for her Christian nationalist rhetoric, opposition to bipartisan legislation, and lighting rod remarks about guns and immigration. Those voters are shifting toward Frisch as the election progresses, pollsters said.

What does this mean for an incumbent in a year that is supposed to be favorable for GOP candidates?

Chris Keating, president and founder of Keating Research, explained:

“With Boebert under 50%, that means she is vulnerable to losing this race.”

Boebert has been under scrutiny recently after a report came out suggesting that her neighbors in Colorado’s Third District wish she and her family would move elsewhere.

The Denver Post obtained recordings of the calls to police and report that Boebert’s neighbors said they feared for their lives at times because the Boebert clan “all have guns.”

Allegedly, Boebert’s husband, Jayson, is known to drink and drive:

“Jayson’s probably drunk. You could probably get him for a DUI, he just drove down here.”

Lauren Boebert Has An Online Hissy Fit Over A Poll About College Student’s Political Preferences

Right-wing Republicans (especially those who support disgraced, one-term former president Donald Trump) love to say that Democrats and progressives are too sensitive, so they call them “snowflakes” and dismiss them as being irrelevant.

And yet, a new poll from NBC News and Generation Lab has some of those same Trumpers whining because 62% of college students surveyed said they would not share a dorm room or apartment with someone who voted for Trump.

According to Mediaite:

A whopping 62 percent of college Democrats would not room with a Trump voter — more than double the number of Republicans who would refuse to share living space with a Biden voter.

A new NBC News/Generation Lab poll of the class of 2025 shows Democrats in that group really shun people who voted for former President Donald Trump. Like, a lot, and much more than Republicans avoid supporters of President Joe Biden — to the tune of a 34-point difference. Only 28 percent of Republicans  said they’d “probably” or “definitely” refuse a Biden voter.

Here are some of the quotes from students who participated in the NBC poll:

“I could never live with someone who supported a racist, homophobic, xenophobic and sexist person,” said September Mostransky, 18, of Siena College in Loudonville, New York, referring to former President Donald Trump.

“I could possibly room with somebody who is Republican. But when it comes down to it, Donald Trump is not the average Republican candidate,” Mostransky added.

Ethan Strohmetz, 19, a Republican who attends Catholic University in Washington, D.C., has a different opinion.

“A person’s political views do not affect whether or not I would have a friendship or relationship with them,” he said. “Many of my friends have vastly different political views than I do, but I do not let that affect our friendship.”

Perhaps no one was more upset by the poll than Rep. Lauren Boebert, who took to Twitter (rather than do the job she was elected to do) and posted this:

Here’s something Lauren needs to keep in mind: When it comes to “tolerance” most of us who are Democrats can tolerate just about anything except intolerance, and we won’t agree to be around bigoted assholes who hate people for the color of their skin, their sexual orientation, or their native language.

Sorry, Bobo, but almost no one likes you, and the only person to blame is YOU.

New Polls Show Democrats Increasing Their Majority In The Senate: Report

With the 2022 midterm elections now just a bit more than three months away, new polling data in four key battleground states — Georgia, North Carolina, Ohio and Pennsylvania — show Democrats increasing their majority in the U.S. Senate, thanks in large part to weak Republican candidates and their connection to failed, one-term former president Donald Trump.

Mediaite reports that the polling results were released in a memo from Trump’s former national security adviser, John Bolton, and carried the title, “New Poll Finds Trump Hurts Republican Chances in Key Senate Races Independents’ Opposition to Trump Could Give Democrats Outright Senate Control.”

Bolton then broke down the results from a new survey conducted by his John Bolton Super PAC of “likely voters in four key Senate battleground states (Georgia, North Carolina, Ohio, and Pennsylvania).”

In each of these four states, the Trump-backed candidate won the GOP primary and has since made headlines for their lackluster or controversial campaigns.

Summarizing the data, Bolton writes:

“Results indicate that Donald Trump is a significant drag on the general-election prospects of Republican candidates. Independent and undecided voters, whose votes will be critical, perhaps dispositive in November, nationally and in the four swing states, have decidedly unfavorable views of Trump.”

Especially troubling for Republicans is that among Independent voters, Trump’s favorability is 10 points underwater: Favorable 38%, Unfavorable 48%.

Additionally, a mere 12.5% of Republican primary voters identified as “Trump Republicans” and 73% said they were “moderate or conservative.”

Here’s a look at the polls from each state that Bolton cited in his memo:

  • Georgia: Republican Herschel Walker leads Democratic incumbent Raphael Warnock by 4 points 46% to 42% with a large amount of voters still undecided.
  • Pennsylvania: Republican Mehmet Oz is losing badly to Democrat John Fetterman, trailing by 6 points. Trump is seen as favorable by 31% of those surveyed, but 43% say they view the disgraced ex-president unfavorably.
  • Ohio: Republican J.D. Vance is down by 6 points to Democratic Rep. Tim Ryan, 44% to 38%.
  • North Carolina: Republican Ted Budd trails Democrat Cheri Beasley by 3 points, 43% to 40%.

Bolton concludes his memo with this warning for the GOP:

“Whatever Trump’s role in the nominating process, his role in the coming general elections can be fatal to GOP efforts to gain outright control of the Senate.

“Trump’s fixation on himself and the 2020 election are poisonous to independent and undecided voters. Republican candidates who hope to win in November are risking political suicide if they stress their closeness to Trump, or allow their opponents to portray them as mini-Trumps.”

If Republicans do indeed lose more seats in the Senate, one person will be responsible, and his name is Donald John Trump.

Ron Johnson’s Twitter Poll About Ending The Filibuster Backfires On Him In Spectacular Fashion

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) thought he had a surefire way to prove that the majority of Americans don’t support reforming the Senate filibuster so that voting rights legislation can be voted on, so he decided he’s post a poll on Twitter.

But it didn’t take long before Johnson found out his poll only succeeded in making him look like a complete fool.

This could be a crucial week in the fight to pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, as Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has made it clear he intends to call a vote and make very member of the upper chamber cast a vote for or against expanding the right to vote, according to The Hill:

Schumer, from the Senate floor, moved to formally end debate on voting legislation that combines the Freedom to Vote Act, which overhauls federal elections and campaign finance laws, and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, which strengthens the 1965 Voting Rights Act.

That is expected to set up a vote on Wednesday, though it could be delayed until Thursday, where the legislation will need 60 votes to advance in the Senate. Republicans are expected to block the bill, and once that happens Schumer is vowing to bring up a vote on changing the Senate’s rules.

That led to Johnson’s Twitter poll.

But the senator didn’t get the response he was expecting, as over 95% of those who responded said they want to see the filibuster booted and voting rights legislation passed:

Oops! How embarrassing for Sen. Johnson, who recently announced he’d be seeking a third term in office in the 2022 midterm elections. Many of his fellow Republicans are said to be apoplectic and “having a heart attack” about his reelection campaign, which insiders believe is doomed to fail.

Quite clearly, Ron Johnson is out of touch with voters. Here’s hoping they take that out on him in spectacular fashion come November.
