WATCH Chuck Todd Smack Down Ron Johnson For His Obsession With Hunter Biden

“Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd took issue with Sen. Ron Johnson’s (R-WI) insistence that Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden, has broken the law and pointed out that Johnson has yet to investigate the actions of former Trump administration adviser Jared Kushner.

During an interview with Johnson, Todd asked the senator:

“Senator, do you have a crime that you think Hunter Biden committed. Because I’ve yet to see anybody explain. It is not a crime to make money off of your last name.”

Johnson responded:

“Chuck, you ought to read the Marco Polo report, where they detail all kinds of potential crimes.”

The Marco Polo report was published by a right-wing group, is 634 pages long, and provides virtually no concrete evidence of any crimes committed by Hunter Biden.

That led the host to counter:

“Let me stop you there. Potential is innuendo. That’s why you do investigation!”

Johnson:

“Chuck, is it a crime to be soliciting and purchasing prostitution in potentially European sex trafficking operations? Is that a crime? Because Chuck Grassley and I laid out about $30,000 paid by Hunter Biden to those types of individuals over December of 2018, 2019, about $30,000. That’s about the same time that President Biden offered to pay about $100,000 of Hunter Biden’s bills. I mean, again, that’s just some information. I don’t know exactly if it’s a crime.”

Todd reminded Johnson about Jared Kushner:

“It seems to me if you’re concerned about what Hunter Biden did, you should be equally outraged about what Jared Kushner did.”

The senator huffily replied:

“I’m concerned about getting to the truth. I don’t target individuals.”

That’s when Todd laid a smackdown on the the senator:

“You don’t? You’re targeting Hunter Biden multiple times on this show, Senator. You’re targeting an individual.”

Attempting to regain control of the interview, Johnson then accused Todd of being the problem:

“Chuck, you know, part of the problem — and this is pretty obvious to anybody watching this — is you don’t invite me on to interview me. You invite me on to argue with me. You know, I’m just trying to lay out the facts that certainly Senator Grassley and I uncovered.

“And part of the reason are our politics are inflamed is we do not have an unbiased media. We don’t. It’s unfortunate.

“Primarily it occurs from the left.”

That led Todd to drop a nuclear bomb of truth on the senator:

“Senator, look, we’re trying to deal with issues here and facts. You can go back on your partisan cable cocoon and talk about media bias all you want, I understand it’s part of your identity.”

Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson In Big Trouble As New Poll Shows Him Losing Badly In November

Wisconsin Republican Sen. Ron Johnson is fading quickly down the stretch as the 2022 midterm election enters the last leg, with a new poll showing him significantly behind in his race to remain in the U.S. Senate.

Johnson, who has been an ardent acolyte and apologist for disgraced, one-term, twice-impeached former president Donald Trump is now down by 7 points to Democratic nominee Mandela Barnes, who would become the youngest member of the Senate at 35 if he defeats the incumbent. He would also be the first black senator to ever represent Wisconsin.

The poll, from Marquette Law School, shows Barnes with a commanding 51-44% lead over Johnson, and the fact that Barnes is above 50% this late in the race is bad news for Johnson, who has a high unfavorable rating among those polled.

Johnson recently shot himself in the foot with remarks he made suggesting that Social Security and Medicare should be discretionary spending, meaning that Congress could refuse to fund the programs anytime they choose to. A discretionary item in the federal budget is also subject to review annually, which would jeopardize the long-term stability of both programs that benefit senior citizens.

Additionally, Johnson promised voters he wouldn’t serve more than two terms in the Senate, but is now seeking a third term, which has reportedly rankled many in the Badger State.

A win for Mandela Barnes would be a huge gain for Democrats and another step toward getting a filibuster-proof majority that would allow the Senate to get more done, including passing voting rights and abortion rights legislation which is being held hostage by Republicans.

Democrats are also doing well in other states that currently have GOP senators, including Ohio and Pennsylvania, where Trump-endorsed candidates J.D. Vance and Mehmet Oz are struggling to gain traction with voters.

Ron Johnson’s Twitter Poll About Ending The Filibuster Backfires On Him In Spectacular Fashion

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) thought he had a surefire way to prove that the majority of Americans don’t support reforming the Senate filibuster so that voting rights legislation can be voted on, so he decided he’s post a poll on Twitter.

But it didn’t take long before Johnson found out his poll only succeeded in making him look like a complete fool.

This could be a crucial week in the fight to pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, as Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has made it clear he intends to call a vote and make very member of the upper chamber cast a vote for or against expanding the right to vote, according to The Hill:

Schumer, from the Senate floor, moved to formally end debate on voting legislation that combines the Freedom to Vote Act, which overhauls federal elections and campaign finance laws, and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, which strengthens the 1965 Voting Rights Act.

That is expected to set up a vote on Wednesday, though it could be delayed until Thursday, where the legislation will need 60 votes to advance in the Senate. Republicans are expected to block the bill, and once that happens Schumer is vowing to bring up a vote on changing the Senate’s rules.

That led to Johnson’s Twitter poll.

But the senator didn’t get the response he was expecting, as over 95% of those who responded said they want to see the filibuster booted and voting rights legislation passed:

Oops! How embarrassing for Sen. Johnson, who recently announced he’d be seeking a third term in office in the 2022 midterm elections. Many of his fellow Republicans are said to be apoplectic and “having a heart attack” about his reelection campaign, which insiders believe is doomed to fail.

Quite clearly, Ron Johnson is out of touch with voters. Here’s hoping they take that out on him in spectacular fashion come November.

Secret Video Shows GOP Sen. Ron Johnson Admitting Trump Lost In 2020

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) has long been one of failed, one-term former President Donald Trump’s most vocal supporters, refusing to admit that there was no fraud in the 2020 election and declare that President Joe Biden won fair and square.

But behind closed doors, Johnson is singing a much different tune, saying that Trump lost the state of Wisconsin all by himself. Wisconsin was one of the states Biden managed to flip after it went for Trump four years earlier.

Lauren Windsor posted the video on Twitter. In it, Johnson notes that if tens of thousands of voters hadn’t refused to vote for Trump, he might have won the state:

“Collectively, the state assembly candidates, just Republican state assembly candidates, got [1.661 million] votes. The eight congressional candidates also got [1.661 million], so we obviously counted enough Republican votes. The only reason Trump lost Wisconsin is that 51,000 Republican voters didn’t vote for him.”

The person shooting the video then asks Johnson if he believes Biden won the state “fair and square,” to which the senator replies:

“Well, look at the totals. It’s certainly plausible, there’s nothing obviously skewed about the results. There isn’t!”

https://twitter.com/lawindsor/status/1432766974354931719?s=20

There was nothing “skewed” about the results in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina or Wisconsin, as Trump and his apologists have asserted ever since the final vote totals were certified.

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris won the 2020 election overwhelmingly. They won it in both the popular and electoral vote, and it wasn’t close.

It’s interesting that Ron Johnson has no problem telling the truth behind closed doors but won’t do so publicly. More proof that Republicans have no spine and remain terrified of the man who tried his best to destroy this country for his own glorification.
