Liz Cheney Incinerates Ted Cruz: You’re ‘Posturing For The Secessionist Vote’

Ever since he was first elected to the U.S. Senate in 2012, Ted Cruz (R-TX) has been known as the most hated person on the upper chamber of Congress, even among members of his own party.

And now Cruz is picking yet another fight with a fellow Republican, but this time he chose the wrong person to go to war with.

Over the weekend on CNN, there was a discussion of who in the GOP might run for the Republican presidential nomination in 2024. It included a mention of Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), who has been a critic of failed, one-term former President Donald Trump and his apologists. Here’s the video:

Cruz, who seems to have a pathological need to be a Twitter troll (despite that fact that he’s no good at it and usually winds up owning himself), couldn’t resist commenting on the CNN debate:

“Yes. It’s called the Democratic primary.”

Cheney was more than equal to the challenge from Cruz, cutting him to the quick with this reply:

“I know you’re posturing for the secessionist vote, Ted. But my party, the Republican party, saved the Union. You swore an oath to the Constitution. Act like it.”

And then Cheney got support from another Republican and even a Democrat, both from the House, who were only too happy to remind Cruz that he’s been a slavish sycophant for Trump despite the fact that the ex-president accused the senator’s father of being involved in the assassination of John F. Kennedy and suggested that his wife, Heidi, is ugly.

Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL), who serves on the House Select Committee on the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection with Cheney, poured salt on Cruz’s social media wounds:

“Damn son Liz brought the heat on you!”

Cruz desperately tried to counter with this pathetic retort:

“These two need to hurry up and get their bottom-rated @msnbc show.”

Kinzinger responded:

“Senator, you’ve been given a huge position to lead and tell people truth. Yet you have squandered it on lies and abused the patriotism of those who trusted you. I will have zero regrets… will you?”

Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) also blasted Cruz by mentioning him in a perfectly worded follow-up to Kinzinger’s tweet:

“Adam, if you want @tedcruz’s support you’re going to have to attack his wife.”

That led to this reminder for Cruz about what had just happened to him as a result of his childish attack on Cheney:

Yep. Burned Rafael right down to the Texas dirt he came from.

Marjorie Taylor Greene Called Rep. Liz Cheney A ‘Karen’ – That Was A Big Mistake

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) walked into a hornet’s nest of her own creation Thursday after she tried to mock Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) for criticizing Fox News host Tucker Carlson and a special he’s done for the network which claims the Jan.6 attack at the U.S. Capitol was a “false flag,” planned and carried out by the federal government.

In response to Carlson’s recklessness, Cheney sent out this tweet:

Greene couldn’t resist taking a cheap shot at Cheney for daring to criticize Carlson:

As HuffPost notes, if anyone is deserving of the “Karen” moniker, it’s Greene:

Greene (who late night comedian Trevor Noah once dubbed “Osama Bin Karen”) has likened House mask mandates to the Holocaust, said she doesn’t believe in evolution, has pushed a conspiracy theory about Jewish space lasers starting wildfires in California and liked social media posts calling for the execution of prominent Democrats, which caused her to be stripped of her House committee assignments.

Others then joined the online debate, excoriating Greene and reminding her what a joke she is.

Liz Cheney Expertly Trolls Trump For Being A Failed, One-Term POTUS

A couple of days ago, twice-impeached former President Donald Trump sent out a bizarre photo mash-up of Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) and former President George W. Bush.

In case you missed it, here’s the disturbing photo:

Michael Luciano of Mediaite was one of the first reporters to get ahold of the photo, and he wrote:

On Thursday night, Donald Trump sent his email subscribers a bizarre photoshopped image of Liz Cheney and George W. Bush spliced together and I am shook.

The photo was the only content in the email, other than the subject line of “ICYMI: Must-See Photo.”

Rather than getting annoyed or angry, Cheney decided to get even, posting this message on Twitter as Bush is preparing to hold a fundraiser for the Wyoming congresswoman:

Now that’s how you respond to Trump: Remind him that he lost the 2020 election. See, he knows he lost it because he’s no longer in the White House and despite the fact that he continually insists he won.

Feel the burn, Donnie.

Donald Trump WTF?!

Donald Trump’s Weird Bush-Cheney Photoshop Will Give You Nightmares

Something very strange happened on Thursday evening, and it took the form of an email from failed, one-term, twice-impeached former President Donald Trump that he sent to his email subscribers.

Keep in mind, Trump would love to have used Twitter and Facebook to share what someone cooked up for him, but he’s banned from those platforms, and we can all hope and pray he’ll never be allowed back on either.

Michael Luciano of Mediaite appears to be the first reporter to have gotten ahold of what was sent by Trump in email, and he reported:

On Thursday night, Donald Trump sent his email subscribers a bizarre photoshopped image of Liz Cheney and George W. Bush spliced together and I am shook.

The photo was the only content in the email, other than the subject line of “ICYMI: Must-See Photo.”

Prepare yourself for the photo. You’re going to be seeing it in your mind for longer than you’d probably like.

This is just the latest in Trump’s personal obsession with Bush and Cheney, according to USA Today:

Donald Trump has renewed his feud with fellow former President George Bush, this time over Bush’s support for anti-Trump congresswoman Liz Cheney – another front in the deeply personal battle over control of the Republican Party.

Trump, who is backing a Republican opponent of Cheney in Wyoming’s GOP primary next year, attacked Bush over military policy after news broke that Bush is sponsoring an Oct. 18 campaign fundraiser for Cheney in Dallas.

“Bush is the one who got us into the quicksand of the Middle East,” and “the Middle East was left in worse shape after 21 years than it was when he started his stupidity,” Trump said in a statement late Wednesday.

But the photo, you’ll probably agree, is a new low, even for Trump. However, there is one possible outcome that we can hope for: Someone needs to do a photoshopped version of Trump and Melania. Or maybe Donald and Ivanka, since we know he’s lusted after her since she was only 13.

Ok, photoshoppers. The gauntlet has been laid down. Get to work and share your creations with the internet.

Liz Cheney Is Already Getting Payback On Kevin McCarthy For Booting Her From GOP Leadership

It’s been just three days since House Republicans — led by Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) — unceremoniously stripped Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) of her post as the third-highest ranking member of the House GOP ranks and then replaced her with Trump loyalist Elise Stefanik (R-NY).

However, in that 72 hours, Cheney has made it clear that she will not stop speaking out about the dangers of allowing failed, one-term former President Donald Trump to return as the Republican presidential nominee in 2024, remarking:

“Right now, I am very focused on making sure that our party becomes again a party that stands for truth and stands for fundamental principles that are conservative and mostly stands for the Constitution. And I won’t let a former president or anybody else unravel the democracy. Whatever it takes.”

And now Cheney is aiming her fire at McCarthy, insisting that he should indeed be subpoenaed by the newly-minted commission that will investigate what transpired on January 6, 2021 when pro-Trump rioters staged an insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.

Cheney was asked by Jon Karl of ABC News:

“Should Kevin Mccarthy be willing to speak, testify before that commission? After all, he is one of the few people that we know of that was actually talking to Donald Trump while the attack was taking place.”

In what must have been an incredibly satisfying moment of payback, Cheney replied:

“He absolutely should, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he were subpoenaed.”

In other words, Cheney is urging Democrats on the 1/6 committee to demand that McCarthy testify. And since he was one of the few people who spoke with Trump on the phone during the violent uprising at the Capitol, McCarthy might just be able to provide details that would sink the Donald once and for all.

Kevin McCarthy and his top lieutenants in House leadership may have thought they could oust Liz Cheney and go about their business as if nothing had changed. But the Wyoming Republican is letting it be known she still has some surprises in store for the people who pushed her overboard.
