Ted Cruz Claims The Biden Administration Is ‘Persecuting’ The Capitol Insurrectionists

Texas GOP Sen. Ted Cruz (R) doesn’t believe that everyone who stormed the U.S. Capitol on January 6 deserves to be punished or charged with a crime because many of them are clearly being “persecuted” and the Biden administration is “targeting” them.

In an interview with HuffPost, Cruz had this to say about the fact that hundreds of Capitol insurrectionists are now facing serious legal jeopardy for their illegal actions:

“If an individual assaulted a police officer, they should spend a long, long time in jail.

If, on the other hand, the Biden administration is targeting and persecuting people for exercising political speech that is nonviolent and simply expressing their peaceful support for a political party different from that in power, that is not the purpose of our criminal justice system.”

And if a frog had wings, it wouldn’t bump it’s ass every time it jumped, Ted.

“As it turns out, Cruz’s sentiments are now increasingly common among those who remain loyal to failed, one-term former President Donald Trump:

“Some allies of former President Donald Trump are upset that protesters who didn’t assault police officers are being charged with misdemeanor offenses, the same type of charges they’d face had they been arrested at any protest inside the Capitol. Demonstrations are banned within the Capitol complex, and even an errant laugh during a congressional hearing can get you led out of the room in flex cuffs.”

So if you stand up during a congressional hearing and speak out of turn, you can be carted off and charged, but if you riot and enter the Capitol, take a shit in the hallways, and rub your feces on the walls, that’s no biggie, according to Cruz and other Trump faithful who seem to think the rules apply to everyone but them.

What happened on Jan. 6 was a crime. Plain and simple. And it has to be treated as such. If it isn’t, we’re inviting it to happen again and be even rose the next time.

Marjorie Taylor Greene Has On-Air Meltdown As 1/6 Committee Starts: ‘They Want Members Of Congress In Jail!’

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) sounded worried (and guilty) on Tuesday morning as the January 6 Congressional committee began meeting, screeching during an appearance on Real America’s Voice with host Steve Bannon, suggesting that Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) wants to put members of Congress in jail.

Greene told Bannon:

“The January 6 committee has started and this is [House Speaker] Nancy Pelosi’s witch hunt. This is her final vendetta against the president that she hates with a passion. This woman is blind with rage and evil and she’s launching this political attack on all of us.”

And then the Georgia Republican went full paranoiac and claimed she knows that Pelosi wants to destroy her:

“I know for certain, I am one of her main targets. They want members of Congress in jail. And guess who that is?”

Sounds like Greene is worried, and considering that she may have played a role in the Capitol insurrection, she damn well should be.

While she was at it, Greene engaged in some revealing psychological projection, remarking:

“Nancy Pelosi is so warped in her thinking, she wants to put President Trump in jail. She wants to put Kevin McCarthy in jail. She’d like to put me in jail, Jim Jordan, Mo Brooks, Lauren Boebert. She’d like to put us in jail.”

As if that’s not bad enough, Greene also told Bannon that she’s putting together her own Jan. 6 “committee” that will include her and Reps. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) and Matt Gaetz (R-FL). Just imagine what a clusterfuck that’ll be!

Gaetz Says He’s Afraid The Jan. 6 Commission Will Make Criminal Referrals To DOJ

During an appearance on Newsmax, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) sounded incredibly worried what the House Select Committee on the January 6 Capitol insurrection will find that might result in criminal charges being brought against GOP members of Congress.

Gaetz said he believes the real purpose of the committee is to gather evidence for criminal referrals to the Justice Department:

“I think the entire purpose of the Jan. 6 committee is to create a series of criminal referrals to the Biden Justice Department. And I think [House Minority Leader] Kevin McCarthy is the lead target, unfortunately.”

While he was at it, Gaetz also said he believes that McCarthy should remove Reps. Liz Cheney (R-WY) and Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) from the committees they serve on now that they’ve agreed to be members of the 1/6 panel.

However, Gaetz then circled back to the idea of criminal referrals to the DOJ, as if laying the groundwork for charges that may be forthcoming against him and others in the GOP:

“I really do believe that the end goal of the Jan. 6 committee is to create a series of criminal referrals. And remember during the Russia hoax, a lot of the criminal process occurred not as a result of any underlying federal criminal law but instead as a result of these process crimes.

“Kevin McCarthy better hope he never deleted an email or forwarded something to where it wasn’t saved,. Otherwise, there’s going to be an effort to use process crimes to try to jam up the Republican leadership.”

What Gaetz neglected to say is that so-called “process crimes” are still crimes and should be treated as such. Maybe they aren’t as serious as allegedly being involved in the sexual trafficking of a minor, but then again few things are as disgusting as what Gaetz is accused of doing with young girls over the years.

If none of the Republicans did anything wrong in connection with the Capitol riots, why do they sound so worried about getting to the truth? It’s almost as if they have something to hide.

Jailed Capitol Insurrectionist Whines He Has ‘No Privacy When Sh*tting’

Listen my children and you shall hear of the endless whining, moaning, and kvetching of the dillholes who participated in the January 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol but now want us to feel sorry for them and extend our sympathy in their direction just because they assure us they’re ever so sorry and will never do it again.

And to that, let the congregation say: BULLSHIT! YOU GOT WHAT YOU DESERVED!

Today we pay a visit to Joe Biggs, a member of the Proud Boys domestic terror group that goes around attacking anyone they disagree with in the name of white supremacy and/or law and order.

Biggs is currently incarcerated and awaiting trial for his role in what transpired earlier this year when thousands of pro-Trump asshats stormed the Capitol and caused the deaths of five people, including a police officer, even though these right-wing douches love to profess their support for law enforcement.

But things are not going well for Biggs in lockup, and he whined to a friend of his in a letter that they’re feeding him “soy-based” meals that are already “weakening his body.”

Boo freaking hoo! Someone get this snowflake a tissue already!

Oh, and Biggs is also deeply distressed that he hasn’t been able to exercise:

“Today is my 3 month anniversary being locked up. Not allowed to work out. My body feels as if it’s aged too much. Can hardly move.”

That’s too bad, Joe, but you know the old saying: Don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time.

Bur perhaps most terrifying of all for Biggs is that he (gasp!) has no privacy when he uses the bathroom. Horror of horrors! Just listen to him explain his situation:

“No privacy allowed when shitting allowed.”

Be sure and notice that Biggs refers to himself as a “political prisoner.” He’s a terrorist and a thug, and now he’s being treated like one and he doesn’t care for it. Oh well, that’s too damn bad.

In the months ahead, we’re going to be hearing lots of sob stories from these losers, and the only thing they deserve in response is a shrug of the shoulders and middle finger salute. After all, they’re the same people who demanded every child be ripped from his or her parents for attempting to come to the United States in search of a better life and chanted “lock her up!” endlessly anytime their lord and savior Donald Trump made a speech.

If any of these miscreants want sympathy, they can buy a greeting card in the prison commissary.

Terrorism Expert Says He Fears QAnon Crazies Are Preparing To Try And Touch Off A Civil War

Think forward to a month from now. It’s August 5 and Donald Trump still hasn’t been “reinstated” as president the way the MyPillow moron, Mike Lindell, has been promising. Instead, the failed, one-term loser former president has been indicted (or soon will be), and Joe Biden remains president of the United States.

What happens next? Does Lindell move the goalposts again? Or do the pro-Trump crazies who also subscribe to the bizarre QAnon view of the world decide to take matters into their own hands and try to start a conflagration in major cities across the country?

That’s the concern of terrorism analyst Malcolm Nance, who said Monday evening during an appearance on MSNBC’s “The Reid Report” that he believes the QAnon goons may well be the biggest threat the U.S. faces when it comes to domestic terrorism, remarking:

“Anyone that can see with their eyes understands what is going on here. We are in a neofascist era in personal politics. Back in 1939, 1940 there was a formal fascist movement, which openly supported Adolf Hitler and called for American independence and isolation away from Europe’s war, which Hitler had just invaded, called the America First movement.”

The “America First” movement that took place in the United States as Hitler rose to power was led by a name you’ll probably recall from your history classes: Charles Lindbergh.

Nance continued:

“They had a rally in Madison Square Garden where George Washington was juxtaposed with Adolf Hitler. These people were fascists. What we’ve seen is after World War II when they were essentially run to the ground, there was a rise in the 1950s and ’60s of these very small fascist groups that turned into terrorist groups like the Christian Identity movement.”

Nance also warned that the post-August period could wind up being one filled with the sort of horror we cannot possibly imagine:

“It’s the post-August period that I would really be watching as a terrorism professional because Donie O’Sullivan did some interviews with these people and they said if Trump is not reinstalled, then they’re going to have to start talking civil war. I’ve been monitoring their communications since last December. These people are already, many of them, committed to the concept of overthrowing American democracy and inciting civil war.”

We have got to be on the alert for what some of these domestic terrorists have planned if Trump isn’t installed in the White House the way they’re expecting. They are a clear and present danger to the United States.
