WATCH: Right-Wing Media Abandons Marjorie Taylor Greene To Speak With An Important Republican

Georgia Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene is not a person to be taken the least bit seriously. As matter of fact, even members of her own party think she’s a loose cannon, and most of them won’t be seen in public with her for that very reason.

Despite that, Greene is brimming over with self-importance, falsely believing that people should hang on her every word even though her words are hateful drivel.

So it must have come as quite a hit to her ego when Greene was talking to a reporter from Right Side Broadcasting at a Trump rally on Saturday in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania and suddenly became second-hand news, Newsweek reports:

Greene, a Republican from Georgia, spoke at length to Right Side Broadcasting Network hosts prior to the start of Saturday’s rally in Wilkes-Barre.

But at one point, a commotion can be heard as Mastriano, the Republican nominee for Pennsylvania governor, arrived.

“Doug Mastriano,” RSBN’s Brian Glenn said, before he darted quickly behind Greene, who was still speaking.

Afterwards, Greene pretended she also wanted to speak with Mastriano:

“I look forward to meeting him and talking about, talking to him about his plans for Pennsylvania as governor.”

Sure you do, Margie. Sure you do.

Greene also got a massive dose of mockery on Twitter.

Jealous Greene Pitches A Hissy Fit When AOC Gets ‘GQ’ Cover: ‘She’s Not Very Smart’

If perhaps you were wondering if someone who is filled with as much bluster as Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is all talk and actually an insecure little slug, an attack Greene launched on her Democratic colleague, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) — who is also known by the initials AOC — proves that the would-be GOP bully is indeed nothing more than a “mean girl” who has to belittle others so she can feel superior to them.

AOC is on the cover of the latest issue of GQ magazine, and she gave the magazine an in-depth interview on all matter of policy subjects, which is something Greene would never be able to pull off. Greene’s idea of policy positions is saying she’s opposed to solar energy because she wants to be able to have electricity in her house after the sun goes down.

So, in response to AOC getting attention and Greene getting none, Marjorie went on right-wing media and claimed that the New York Democrat “is not very smart” or “popular.”

Oh, and while she was at it, Greene also made fun of AOC for once being a bartender, as if that’s not a noble profession.

Wow, talk about the pot calling the kettle black. Greene is dumb a stump and almost no one in Congress can stand her. And she hasn’t accomplished anything professionally that wasn’t handed to her by her family.

Twitter was only too happy to level Marge’s karma.

Congress GOP Social Media WTF?!

Kevin McCarthy Gets Dragged On Twitter For His Bizarre ‘Electric Cord Of Liberty’ Remark

Everywhere you turned today, Republicans were lining up to loudly whine about remarks made by President Joe Biden about “MAGA Republicans” who put their loyalty to one man over doing what’s best for the country.

But it was something House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) said prior to the president’s speech that left many scratching their heads. Here’s the part of his speech that was so confusing:

“The American experiment and the good people who believe in it have not said their last word. The electric cord of liberty still sparks in our hearts. The spirit of the Pilgrims, the Patriots and the Pioneers still inspire our souls. Our best days are ahead of us, not behind us. Our nation can flourish again and under a new historic Republican majority.”

Umm…what? Electric cord of liberty? Does that connect to the pedestal fan of freedom or is it only to be used for the hair dryer of justice? So many questions!

It would appear, according to HuffPost, that McCarthy was trying to reference Abraham Lincoln:

The electric cord reference seemingly harks back to an 1858 Abraham Lincoln speech in which Lincoln said the Declaration of Independence “links the hearts of patriotic and liberty-loving men together” like an electric cord through the generations.

Sure, we all learned that in history class, right? If McCarthy wanted to pay tribute to Honest Abe, he should have said that’s where he got his electric cord reference.

Instead, we’re left to wonder what the purpose of the line was, which certainly set off lots of debate on Twitter. Take a look:

Capitol Insurrection Congress GOP January 6

Newt Gingrich Is Now A Target Of The January 6 House Select Committee

Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich received a letter he probably wishes he never would have today, because he now knows that he’s a target of the House Select Committee investigating the January 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

CNN reports:

The committee wants to learn more about communications Gingrich had with senior advisers in former President Donald Trump’s White House about television advertisements that relied on false claims about the election.

In the letter, committee chairman Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS) writes:

“The Committee has obtained information indicating that you have knowledge about former President Donald J. Trump’s efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election, and we write to seek your voluntary cooperation. Some of the information that we have obtained includes email messages that you exchanged with senior advisors to President Trump and others, including Jared Kushner and Jason Miller, in which you provided detailed input into television advertisements and relied upon false claims about fraud in the 2020 election.

“These advertising efforts were not designed to encourage voting for a particular candidate. Instead, these efforts attempted to cast doubt on the outcome of the election after voting had already taken place.”

The letter even contains a direct quote from an email Gingrich sent to Kushner, who was a senior adviser in the Trump administration:

“The goal is to arouse the country’s anger through new verifiable information the American people have never seen before[.] . . . If we inform the American people in a way they find convincing and it arouses their anger[,] they will then bring pressure on legislators and governors.”

Gingrich was also involved in the “false electors” scheme, which is referenced by Thompson in the letter:

“The Committee is also interested in other communications you may have had with the White House, President Trump, the Trump legal team or any other persons involved in the events of January 6th. We ask that you preserve all records of such communications.”

Polling Expert Says One Often-Overlooked Group Of Voters Could Help Democrats Win The Midterms

Six months ago, as gas prices and inflation seemed to be spiraling out of control, the predicted midterm “red wave” appeared to be a foregone conclusion. Democrats would lose control of the House and Senate, pollsters predicted.

But with the election now just a little more than two months away, pollsters are having to recalculate their prediction models and are suggesting that Democrats may actually emerge victorious, which would be an enormous boost for President Joe Biden.

According to Harvard Polling expert John Della Volpe, the 2022 election looks a great deal like what we saw in 2018, as he explained to Mehdi Hassan of MSNBC:

“The reason that Democrats have control of the House, the Senate, and the White House is because of younger Americans. Donald Trump, in the big five battleground states, of 2020, won the vote of everyone over the age of 45. It is young people, under the age of 30, who won Arizona, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Georgia, by an average of 20 points. That’s the reason we have President Biden in the White House today, not President Trump.”

He continued:

“And now what we’re seeing…to me, it looks a lot like 2018. People did not expect to see a Democratic wave. They didn’t expect to see young people turn out. Days before the election, eyes were rolling among pundits. And we’re seeing the same thing I think today. Young people say they are angry, young people are registering, young people are showing up in real numbers in these primaries, in Kansas and other places. I think it’s very very likely that we see a significant change in the face of the electorate over the next several weeks.”
