Trump Spokesperson: There’s No Need For Biden To Give State Of The Union – Donald Did That At CPAC

Liz Harrington is failed, one-term former President Donald Trump’s chief spokesperson, mainly because she has a Twitter account (unlike him) and is willing to parrot whatever nonsense he gives her to repeat to the world.

Harrington’s latest head shaking assertion is that there’s no need for President Joe Biden to give tonight’s State of the Union Address because Trump already covered that ground with his rambling speech at the Conservative Political Action Committee (CPAC) conference over the weekend.

Appearing on Real America’s Voice (a right-wing site that pushes all sorts of nonsense), Harrington commented:

“There’s really no need for him to give a State of the Union [from] the fraud that’s sitting in the White House right now because President Trump summed it all up on Saturday at CPAC.”

Of course, this is just the latest lie Harrington has told regarding the 2020 election, with CNN reporting:

On the day of the Capitol insurrection in January, Harrington falsely insisted that the election was being stolen by “communists.” And less than a week after the insurrection, she falsely claimed that “the real insurrection” occurred during “vote dumps” the morning after Election Day.

A day after Biden had been declared winner on Nov. 8, Harrington had this to say in an interview she gave to a California TV station:

Harrington baselessly insisted that Biden could not have earned 81 million “real votes” because he had small crowds at his campaign events. (A candidate’s crowd sizes do not necessarily predict their vote totals even when a pandemic is not occurring, and Biden’s campaign team shrunk his events for the purpose of social distancing.) And Harrington baselessly suggested it was suspicious that Biden won states in which Trump had early leads in the public vote totals, though Trump had those illusory leads only because many of the votes had not yet been counted.

When you can’t argue the facts, lie and deny. That’s the preferred strategy of Trump and his acolytes.

US ‘Freedom Convoy’ Fails Miserably – Disbands When Only 5 Trucks Show Up For Protest

After seeing what transpired in Canada recently, the organizers of what was billed as the “US Freedom Convoy” had very high hopes.

The plan was for American truck drivers to roll into Washington, D.C. just in time for President Joe Biden’s State of the Union Address on Tuesday and shut down the nation’s capital as a way of protesting COVID restrictions and other issues that many on the political right constantly whine and moan about.

But The Independent reports that when only five big rigs showed up at a meeting point in Las Vegas, the truckers dispersed and went their separate ways because their grandiose plans fizzled out before they even got to the District of Columbia:

A convoy of truckers who were heading from California to Washington DC for Joe Biden’s State of the Union (SOTU) address have been told to find another protest fleet after theirs fell apart before its first stop.

Organisers of the “US Freedom Convoy” – which had been expecting up to 2,000 truckers prior to its departure from Los Angeles on Friday – disbanded the caravan and cancelled all associated rallies on Saturday after only five rigs arrived in Las Vegas.

“To prevent another rally without our truckers – our team will not be moving thru Salt Lake City and Denver,” organisers wrote in an update following the disappointing turnout in Sin City.

Damn! They expected 2,000 and got a measly five? That’s one hell of a failure.

It didn’t take long before recriminations began online, with many noting they wound up looking like fools for being a part of such a massive letdown:

“I spent days trying to coordinate a rally in support of our truckers,” wrote one Facebook user. “I have three tiny kids and work a full-time job and stretched myself thin then made myself look so stupid. I’m pretty hurt by all this.”

Wow! You mean some right-wing asshats took advantage of people so they could grift and get attention for their bogus “cause?” Sounds a lot like a failed, one-term former president who goes by the name Donald Trump.

Clueless Lauren Boebert Doesn’t Know She’s Allowed To Attend The State Of The Union Address

Since she arrived in Congress and opened her mouth to speak the first time, it’s been painfully clear that Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) is one the dumbest people on the planet.

But something she said Friday evening during an appearance on Fox News is so ignorant that it’s a wonder Ms. Bobert is allowed out in public without assistance.

Mediaite reports that Boebert told Fox host Jesse Watters:

“These forever-maskers, Jesse, aren’t following the science. They are following a cult. And it’s called the Branch Covidians. Their leader is Fauci, and they have all drank the Kool-Aid.”

If Boebert wants to see a real cult, she doesn’t have to look any further than the QAnon nuts she has repeatedly failed to criticize.

Watters asked the congresswoman:

“What’s Nancy doing in Congress now? You know, Biden’s got this big State of the Union. Are we going to be able to see your faces? I want to be able to see Bernie falling asleep.”

Boebert’s response proved just how utterly clueless and out of touch she is:

“All of the mandates are dropping in D.C. Except for in the people’s house. And, in fact, Jesse, you won’t be seeing my face, with or without a mask, in the people’s house because only 25 members of each body of Congress are allowed to join the State of the Union.

“This is a joint address of Congress and only 25 members from each body will be able to attend. I’m just curious to see which 25 are trampling over each opener to go see Joe Biden stumble and Jill escort him off the dais.”

But that’s simply not true, according to NPR:

All members of Congress have been invited to watch, in person, President Biden’s upcoming State of the Union address — a dramatic departure from his speech to Congress last year, for which seating capacity was capped at about 20% as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

Of course, no one will miss Boebert if she doesn’t show up for the State of the Union, and there’s certainly a chance she won’t, because if she does she’ll be required to wear a protective mask. We all know how the Trumppublicans absolutely hate to put on a mask, even though doing so is one of the best ways to help control spread of the COVID virus.
