MT Greene Gets Slapped Down For Posting Blatant Lie That Anti-Vaxxers Are Being Denied Medical Treatment

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) went on fact-free, extended Twitter rant (19 tweets!) on Saturday, spewing conspiracy theories, vitriol, and plenty of whining as she compared what she called “Before COVID” and “After COVID,” even going to far as to suggest (incorrectly) that some people who aren’t vaccinated are being denied medical treatment.

Greene asserted in her tweetstorm that the only reason the government is urging Americans to get vaccinated is to enrich pharmaceutical companies, which is more than a bit hypocritical when you consider that she owns stock in companies that are producing the vaccine:

Greene holds stock in AstraZeneca, Pfizer, and Johnson & Johnson, each worth between $1,000 and $15,000, according to an August 13, 2020, filing from Greene with the clerk of the House of Representatives.

Here are some of the lowlights from Greene’s social media meltdown:

Is any of what Greene alleges true? Of course not! The woman hasn’t said anything accurate or factual since she announced she was running for Congress. And she’s only accelerated her bullshit since getting elected.

Reaction to Greene’s stupidity was immediate and harsh:

UPDATE: Greene’s Twitter account has been permanently suspended for spreading lies and misinformation about COVID.

GOP Voting Rights WTF?!

Greene: Anyone Who Moves From A Blue State To A Red One Shouldn’t Be Allowed To Vote

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is now saying the quiet part out loud when it comes to voter suppression.

No longer content to try and deny the right to vote to people of color or those who live in economically-depressed areas of the country, Greene is calling for red states to deny the right to vote to anyone who moves from a blue state.

Newsweek reports on Greene’s absurd proposal:

If red states and blue states were to “divorce” each other, Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene called it possible that people who move from a Democratic state to a Republican state would be barred from voting for a temporary “cooling off” period.

California’s seen an influx in people moving out of the state and many have opted to go to Texas and Florida, where residents can get more bang for their buck. However, some, including Greene, have complained that those who are leaving California are bringing their political beliefs with them and potentially shifting the political landscape.

On Wednesday, the Georgia congresswoman posted on Twitter that “brainwashed people” who move from California and New York need a “cooling-off period.” Her comment was in response to a Twitter user who wrote he supports discriminating against Democratic transplants, including restricting their ability to vote for a period of time. He also wrote that they should have to “pay a tax for their sins.”

Greene’s suggestion was immediately slammed as the words of a traitor by Rep. Reuben Gallego:

Others then joined the debate on social media:

Hey, Marj: How about we put everyone who played any role in the January 6 insurrection (i.e. Donald Trump, Josh Hawley, Ted Cruz, YOU) in prison for about 20 years and never let them cast a ballot again?

GOP Racism WTF?!

Marjorie Taylor Greene Claims The GOP Is Diverse Because It Includes ‘Yellow People’

According to Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), there’s simply no way that Republicans can be bigoted or racist because the GOP contains “yellow people” in its ranks.

Speaking at “AmericaFest,” a conference sponsored by the right-wing youth group Turning Point USA, according to HuffPost, Greene began her remarks by noting that she’d “never been” to a conference for young conservatives, adding:

“When I walked in yesterday, I was like, what kind of people come here? So I’m walking around and seeing some good people, and I see white people, Black people, brown people, yellow people.

“And then there’s talk of freedom and loving America and conservative principles, some crazy people in here were talking about how much they love this guy named Jesus. And I heard — someone I really like — I think I heard that a lot of people here like a guy named Donald J. Trump.

“And then I said, ‘Oh, oh, I know exactly what this is. The left calls this a white supremacist party.'”

Yellow people? Really? The GOP must indeed be a white supremacist party based on the “yellow people” remark from Greene, because it’s a long-used racist trope that’s been around for centuries in the United States:

“Yellow” has long been a charged term to describe Asian people and is widely perceived as a slur. “Yellow Peril,” for example, was used as far back as the nineteenth century to vilify Asian people and cast Asian nations as a danger to Western values.

This rhetoric led to xenophobia and hate toward Asian immigrants, which flared again during the pandemic, due in part to other racist language like the terms “Kung Flu” and “China Virus” coined by former President Donald Trump.

Greene was taken to task on Twitter for her disgusting remarks, with former “Star Trek” star George Takei noting:

“I honestly haven’t heard someone use ‘yellow people, for decades. Perhaps she meant ‘yellow bellied people’ because there are certainly lots in that crowd.”

Sophie Zhang echoed Takei’s tweet:

“I’ve recently been called a ‘Chink’, a ‘Jap’, a ‘gook’, and more. Racists don’t excel at distinguishing ethnic background. But ‘yellow people’ is something that I haven’t heard in a decade or two.

“What is this, the 1960s?”

Greene and her ilk probably wish this was the 1960s so all non-white people had to drink from different water fountains and could be lynched on a whim without any legal repercussions. That’s what Trump Republicans call “the good old days.”

Capitol Insurrection Donald Trump WTF?!

Daft Marjorie Taylor Greene Claims Incriminating Jan. 6 Texts Prove ‘Trump Is Innocent’

Ever since she opened her mouth for the first time on the floor of the House of Representatives, it’s been painfully clear that Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) isn’t exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer. As a matter of fact, she’s just a couple of IQ points brighter than a bag of hammers.

But something Greene said Wednesday during an appearance on extreme right-wing television network One America News (OAN) may well qualify the Georgia Republican for a spot in the Dumbass Hall of Fame.

According to Greene, the text messages from people such as Donald Trump Jr., Fox News hosts Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, and others are proof that the failed, one-term, twice-impeached former president is innocent and so is everyone that allegedly conspired with him to orchestrate a coup on January 6, 2021:

“I think the text messages just completely show that President Trump is innocent. All of us are innocent. The riot shouldn’t have happened and we were all against it just like we’ve said all along.”

A couple of things about Congresswoman Greene’s deeply-flawed logic.

First of all, Trump waited hours after those texts were sent to him before he finally posted a video message on social media telling the insurrectionists to disperse. That doesn’t show any form of innocence whatsoever.

Secondly, be sure and notice that Greene said, “All of us are innocent.” Why does she feel a need to add that unless she’s worried more information is about to be released that will implicate her and others in the GOP who may have been willing co-conspirators and had a hand in the murder of a Capitol police officer, which just so happens to be a capital crime that gets most defendants the death penalty?

Yes, Greene is an imbecile, but her remarks on OAN are the sort of thing that leads attorneys to tear their hair out in frustration.

Nice try, Marj, but it appears you just screwed yourself in royal fashion. Good work, moron.

Photo Of MTG On The House Floor Suggests She’s Worried What The Jan. 6 Committee Has On Her

The list of Republicans who played an active role in the January 6 Capitol insurrection and attempted coup continues to grow, and as new evidence is revealed by the House Select Committee, it seems many inside the GOP were eager and willing to help subvert the American political system and install Donald Trump as dictator for life rather than heed what the voters wanted.

On Monday, Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), who serves on the Jan. 6 committee, read text messages from various people connected to the Trump White House (including Donald Trump Jr. and former chief of staff Mark Meadows), which revealed that even those who supported the ex-president knew the horrific violence taking place on Capitol Hill was going to leave a permanent stain on whatever legacy there might be from the Trump presidency.

We’re also getting new developments regarding what current members of Congress were doing as the Capitol was under attack.

One of those is Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), who was allegedly laughing and giddy as Trump supporters stormed the nation’s seat of government back in January.

Greene has refused to support the ongoing investigation into the events of Jan. 6, but she finally appears to be worried about what information may be coming out regarding her personal culpability.

Today, as the House debated a criminal contempt referral to the Justice Department for Mark Meadows, Greene was seen sitting behind a colleague who was speaking on the House floor, and it certainly appears like Marj is, to borrow a phrase, going through some things. Take a look:

That image led many on Twitter to remark that Greene does indeed look like she’d just seen a ghost:

Yes, the committee likely has the phone records of every member of Congress who played a role in Jan. 6. And that’s probably why Greene looks so forlorn and concerned. Imagine her expression when a subpoena and/or indictment with her name on them is handed down. I’m betting she’ll burst into tears and beg her lord and savior Trump to save her.
