Trump Shares Meme On Social Media That Threatens Black Poll Workers

Disgraced former president Donald Trump reposted a meme Monday on his financially strapped Truth Social site that many are saying is clearly meant as a threat to black poll workers who will help count ballots in the upcoming 2024 election.

The meme shows two black poll workers sitting at a table, both of whom are wearing protective masks that read “Biden/Harris 2020.”

The photo is accompanied by this message: “Start arresting the poll workers and watch how fast they tell you who told them to cheat.”

As you might expect, that set off a torrent of discussion on Twitter.

Twitter Lights Up MT Greene For Saying Black People Should Be ‘Proud’ Of Confederate Statues

Proving yet again that she has no real understanding of any issue of importance to the vast majority of Americans, Georgia Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene is now telling black people in the United States that they should be “proud” whenever they see a statue or monument to the Confederacy.

Yes, a North Georgia cracker like MT Greene wants to tell others how to think and feel, and yet she rages like a wounded wild sow when someone suggests that she see things from a different perspective.

In a video she posted on social media, Greene remarks:

“If I were Black people today and I walked by one of those statues I would be so proud because I’d say look how far I have come in this country.”

Yes, by all means let’s keep the statues of men like Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson who were traitors and declared war on the United States in direct violation of the Constitution for one reason: So they could continue to own other human beings and work them until they died without paying them a damn dime for their labor.

Let’s glorify and laud those who thought themselves superior to other human beings simply by the color of their skin. Is that what we want to hold up as what the United States stands for?

Of course, it should come as no surprise to anyone that Greene is cool with the rebels who attacked their own nation and caused a war that killed approximately 620,000 Americans. After all, she was perfectly fine with the domestic terrorists who attacked the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021 and has repeatedly whined about the rioters who remain in prison for their horrific crimes on that terrible day.

It didn’t take long before others on Twitter reminded Marge that she really needs to shut the hell up and stop trying to turn traitors and insurrectionists into heroes.

Capitol Insurrection January 6 Racism WTF?!

Mom Of Jan. 6 Rioter Ashli Babbitt Says A ‘Black Woman’ Would Have Been Treated Better Than Her Daughter

The mother of the late Capitol rioter Ashli Babbitt is suggesting that if her daughter had been black, she might still be alive.

Speaking with former New York City mayor and Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani on his podcast, Micki Withoeft remarked:

“Nancy Pelosi sitting up there in her castle mad that the minions dared show up that day — well, you know there are a million strong people there to address their government and they made an attempt to kill the First Amendment. But the First Amendment isn’t dead. It’s wounded but it’s not dead. And people are startin’ to realize things that happened that day.”

The First Amendment, however, doesn’t give anyone the right to attack the seat of government and call for the vice president to be hanged.

And while Withoeft also claimed that her daughter did nothing wrong on January 6, the facts suggest otherwise, the Los Angeles Times notes:

In the seven months since she was killed, Babbitt has become a martyr to the far right. In the twisted revisionist narrative being pushed by former President Trump and his supporters, she was a peaceful demonstrator — an “innocent, wonderful, incredible woman” — who was unjustifiably murdered by the police even though she posed no danger.

But that’s not what the video shows. Her death was a tragedy, to be sure — but it was hardly an unjustified murder.

Here’s how Babbitt managed to get herself killed:

Members of Congress can be seen on the other side of the door. Also on the other side of the door is a police lieutenant holding a gun, pointing it at the mob, an unmistakable warning to stay back.

But Babbit decides instead — although it’s a little hard to see on the video — to climb through the shattered glass window into the Speaker’s Lobby, past the police barricade, toward the pointed gun. If she is allowed through, it seems inevitable that the mob will follow.

As she climbs through, a single shot is fired and she drops to the floor.

If Ashli Babbitt didn’t want to get shot, she shouldn’t have rioted and gone against the orders of the cop who told her to stop. She’s the one who caused her death.

Here’s the podcast:

Former Fox Reporter Says It’s Time To Put People In Jail For The Network’s Racist Propaganda

One of the things accused Buffalo mass shooter Payton S. Gendron cited in his 100+ page online manifesto as the reason he decided to attack and kill 10 black shoppers at a grocery store over the weekend was something known as the “great replacement theory.”

If you’re unfamiliar with what replacement theory is, here’s a quick rundown, courtesy of the Washington Post:

The theory was once confined to far-right White extremists, who cast immigration as part of a plot by “elites” to take political and economic power away from White people. It has gained broader circulation in recent years as a talking point among prominent conservative media figures.

(Fox host Tucker) Carlson, whose weeknight program is typically the most popular on Fox News, has been an especially avid promoter of the thesis. He has mentioned variations on the idea in more than 400 episodes since 2016, according to a New York Times analysis of his program. In April of last year, he said on Fox News that people from the “Third World” are immigrating to the United States “to replace the current electorate” and “dilute the political power of the people who live there” — language that essentially distills the replacement thesis.

Replacement theory and Fox’s fondness for that and other extreme, right-wing ideas, was the topic of discussion on MSNBC’s “Deadline: White House” Tuesday, and one of the guests was former Fox reporter Carl Cameron, who was asked by host Nicolle Wallace:

“I mean, obviously a mass shooter is responsible for the violence and the heinous acts that the mass shooter committed,” Wallace noted. “It is also true that the ideology left in the mass shooter’s screen mirrors the ideology championed by Tucker Carlson.

“What happens at Fox News when something like this happens?”

Cameron responded:

“I can’t even imagine. That’s partly why I ended up getting out of there.

“It really is kind of horrible to think that journalists with national and international capacity are putting together this type of nonsense. I think the president did a great job. I wish he had done a lot of this a lot sooner, and we need a lot more from the left and the middle, and we got to watch out because the Republicans have become the purveyors of misinformation, and when our two-party system is broken like that, democracy is seriously in trouble.”

And then Cameron referenced something that President Joe Biden has said before:

“The president acknowledged that it’s time to actually start doing things and maybe taking some names and putting people in jail.”

Near then end of his remarks, Cameron told Wallace:

“I really can’t channel how Tucker believes in any of this stuff and how the network can go through with it. I will say this, however, it is very clear that this type of lying and deception is catching on,” he warned. “There’s racism across the borders, immigrants are being beaten up and being harassed more than ever. Judaism is constantly under fire, and all of this is essentially being accepted by a left — excuse me, a far, far-right community of people who have nothing but grievance based on lies.”

Before you say nothing can be done and point to the First Amendment, keep in mind that Americans have been prosecuted in the past for broadcasting information that was deemed to be supportive of Al Qaeda and ISIS. Those are international terrorist organizations, but the domestic terror threat is growing by the day, and if we don’t do something to address the problem, we may see attacks like the one in Buffalo across all 50 states and a call by some on the far right to stage mass casualty events that will leave the entire country terrorized.

Prosecute Tucker Carlson and others for inciting violence? Maybe if we did they’d think twice before they opened their mouths and spouted hatred again.

GOP Racism U.S. Senate WTF?!

GOP Senator Mike Braun Says He Thinks States Should Be Allowed To Make Interracial Marriage Illegal

Indiana Republican Sen. Mike Braun says he thinks the U.S. Supreme Court had no right to mandate that interracial marriage had to be legal in all states and that each individual state should be able to decide on such issues without the interference of the courts.

According to The Times of Northwest Indiana, Braun said the landmark 1967 Loving v. Virginia decision that struck down state bans on interracial marriage, was a mistake:

“Braun initially limited his claim to the national right to abortion established by the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision he hopes the current, more conservative, Supreme Court will overturn in coming months when it rules in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. But, when asked by The Times, Braun admitted there are many Supreme Court decisions he believes improperly established federal rights that would be better handled on a state-by-state basis, including Loving v. Virginia that legalized interracial marriage, and Griswold v. Connecticut (1965) establishing a right to privacy concerning contraceptive use.”

Specifically, Braun commented:

“We’re better off having states manifest their points of view, rather than homogenizing it across the country as Roe v. Wade did. This should be something where the expression of individual states are able to weigh-in on these issues through their own legislation, through their own court systems. Quit trying to put the federal government in charge.”

So now we have a Republican member of the Senate who is quite literally letting the mask slip and saying that if the state of Mississippi decides that blacks in their state cannot marry whites, they should have every right to do so.

Or, suppose the state of Indiana wants to say that same-sex couples have no right to marry or live together, they should also be allowed do to so because hey, state’s rights and all that stuff, the very same argument that was made for decades on the issue of slavery.

Fortunately, the reaction to Braun’s remarks was utter disgust and disdain, as it damn well should be:

Sen. Braun needs to go ahead and put his white hood back on. Sounds like he be much more comfortable that way.
