WATCH: James Comer Gets His A*s Handed To Him In Less Than 2 Minutes By An NBC Reporter

NBC News Capitol Hill correspondent Ryan Nobles made House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) look like a complete fool in what may well be record time during an interview on the topic of Comer’s efforts to impeach President Joe Biden.

Nobles began by telling Comer:

“So sir, there were the two checks: The $40,000 check and the $200,000 check that came from the president’s son and into the President’s bank account. There was also subsequent bank records, which were provided through the [Oversight] Committee, that demonstrate that there were also subsequent pieces of information that went from the President to the president’s son.”

Comer: “That is not true.”

Nobles then inquired, “So that you’re saying that that information has been made up then? Where did that information come from? That came from the Committee.”

“I don’t know,” Comer claimed. “We haven’t seen that information.”

“That is Committee information that is collected from the bank records that your committee has obtained,” Nobles added.

“Just show the check,” Comer insisted.

Nobles asked Comer if he had “a canceled check for every wire transfer that’s ever come into your account?”

“Yes,” Comer replied.

Nobles confronted the chairman with more facts.

“And that’s what has been shown, there is bank records that demonstrate an exact same amount of money. Are you saying, okay, sir, are you saying those bank records do not exist? That show the money leaving the President’s account and into his son’s?”

Comer: “They were money laundering. You see wires going all over the –”

Nobles pressed further:

“Sir, answer this specific question: Is there a bank record that demonstrates the exact amount of money that came from the President’s account into his son’s account that matches the checks that then went back to him? Does that exist? Yes or no?”

“No, no!” Comer raged “There’s money coming from a law firm.”

“That doesn’t exist? That doesn’t exist, sir?” Nobles noted.

Getting angrier, Comer said, “It does not exist. It’s coming from a law firm. Who put who put the money in the law firm? How do you know the money came from Joe Biden? It could have come from one of Hunter shell companies. You have no idea.”

Nobles: “Okay. So you are saying that that money that that money exists?That transfer does exist there in the bank records that you and your committee –”

“No!” Comer again shouted “You don’t know what that transfer is.”

Afterwards, Adam Cohen of Lawyers for Good Government, wrote on Twitter, “James Comer goes from checks that confirm harmless transactions between Joe and Hunter Biden ‘do not exist’ To ‘they exist, but we claim they might be suspicious.'”

House Republicans are the Keystone Cops of the political world, and James Comer is one of the biggest buffoons of them all.

James Comer Trashed Online After His Latest Biden Bribery ‘Bombshell’ Gets Easily Debunked

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) claimed to have a BIG announcement this morning that would prove President Joe Biden accepted thousands of dollars from China via his son, Hunter, but what he later posted online and shared with right-wing media turned out to be yet another enormous nothing burger.

Here’s the breathless reporting from Newsmax based on information given to them by Comer:

House Oversight and Accountability Committee Chair James Comer, R-Ky., on Monday released subpoenaed bank records showing that Hunter Biden used a business entity to make monthly payments to his father, President Joe Biden.

The payments to Joe Biden came after Hunter Biden’s business account, Owasco PC, received money from Chinese-state linked companies and other foreign nationals and companies, according to financial records obtained by Comer’s panel.

“Hunter Biden’s legal team and the White House’s media allies claim Hunter’s corporate entities never made payments directly to Joe Biden. We can officially add this latest talking point to the list of lies,” Comer said in a statement.

For his part, Comer posted a video on Twitter in which he made those same allegations.

Just one tiny problem: The payments Comer references were actually repayments of a loan Hunter Biden made to his father, as journalist Yashar Ali noted.

That led to others mocking Comer on social media for his latest giant crock of shit.

What will Comer “uncover” next and suggest is a giant coverup? At the rate he’s going, expect him to accuse the president of caring for his family. How dare he!

James Comer Pitches A Childish Fit When A Democrat Confronts Him With His Own Shady Business Deals

The karma police paid a visit to House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY), and he reacted as you’d expect: With anger, petulance, childish insults, and looking guilty as hell.

Referencing reports showing that Comer had engaged in land swaps with his brother, including loans Comer made to his brother, Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-FL) suggested that Comer was guilty of the same thing he has accused President Joe Biden of doing.

“I’m happy to yield you some of my time today, Mr. Chairman, because I think you owe it to the American people to explain why you’ve gone on Fox News and told people, while the president was out of office, he had a loan with his brother, and in a way they were evading taxes. It has come out in the public that you also do business with your brother with potential loans,” Moscowitz noted.

In response, Comer began yelling:

“I would love it! You retweeted that story. Completely false. I’ve never loaned my brother one penny.”

“That story that you tweeted also said that I had a shell company. That is bullshit! I think that the problem is, you know, the White House tried to get CNN to write that story. They went around and investigated all this bullshit…that only dumb financially illiterate people pick up on, and said that it was a shell company because it was an LLC.”

“But you and [Rep. Dan] Goldman, who is ‘Mr. Trust Fund,’ continue to try to discredit — ” Comer boomed.

Moscowitz: “Reclaim my time!”

Comer became more agitated.

“No! I’m not going to give you your time back! We can stop the clock. You all continue to — you look like a Smurf here, just going around and all this stuff, now listen — ”

That’s when Moscowitz hit Comer with a verbal two-by-four:

 “Mr. Chairman, this seems to have gotten under your skin! I think the American people have lots of questions, Mr. Chairman. Perhaps you should sit, maybe, for a deposition — ”

Comer:

“I would be happy! I can sit with Hunter Biden and Jim Biden and we can go over our LLCs!”

Sure, Jim. No one believes you’d ever give a deposition under oath. There’s too big a risk you’d commit perjury within the first 10 seconds.

James Comer Signals Retreat On Biden Impeachment – Says He Doesn’t Want More Hearings

A month ago, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) opened formal hearings as part of an impeachment inquiry into alleged illegal bribes paid to President Joe Biden, making some grandiose claims and insisting that he had found evidence that would make Biden’s impeachment a fait accompli.

At the first hearing, Comer made some bold statements, the Washington Post reported at the time.

In his opening statement, Comer alleged that Biden has for years “lied to the American people about his knowledge of and participation in his family’s corrupt business schemes.” Comer accused Biden of having developed relationships with his family’s foreign business targets.

“These business targets include foreign oligarchs who sent millions of dollars to his family,” he said. “It also includes a Chinese national who wired a quarter of a million dollars to his son.”

However, it soon became clear that Comer had no actual evidence, just unsupported allegations, rumors, and hearsay.

But in the course of just a month, Comer’s tune has changed dramatically, and he’s now suggesting he probably won’t hold more hearings on impeachment, Philip Bump of the Post notes.

“I don’t know that I want to hold any more hearings, to be honest with you,” Comer said while speaking to reporters on Capitol Hill last week. He complained that it was hard to keep members present for hours on end, given that so many had other commitments. Instead, he said, he preferred depositions, which “you can do more with.”

Wow! How’s that for an about-face?

Comer’s remarks are especially odd considering that Thursday evening new Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-LA) told Fox host Sean Hannity that he’s impressed with the oversight committee’s work.

“I know people are getting anxious and they’re getting restless and they just want somebody to be impeached. But that’s not — we don’t do that like the other team. We have to base it upon the evidence, and the evidence is coming together. We’ll see where it leads.”

What in the world is going on here?

Well, there’s the simple fact that holding hearings means Comer and his fellow Republicans have to do more than just sit and go on long harangues about how they’re certain the president broke the law even though they don’t have a shred of evidence.

And then there’s Comer’s mention of depositions, which “you can do more with.”

What Comer is hinting at is putting people under oath and even if they don’t provide any damning facts, he and others in the GOP can still hint that they’re making progress, knowing they don’t have to provide the goods because the depositions are part of an ongoing investigation and will remain secret.

Just a hint of wrongdoing is all Comer and his GOP buddies need to try and draw a false equivalency between Biden and Donald Trump, who has 91 criminal charges hanging over his head.

There’s no need to actually impeach Biden. All Comer needs is enough bullshit to tar the president and keep his bogus “investigation” going.

It’d be tempting to call the whole ordeal smoke and mirrors. But it’s nowhere near that sophisticated. It’s just a smokescreen using fumes from the already deceased horse the GOP can’t resist beating over and over again.

Comer Rages After Hunter Biden Is Indicted On Gun Charge Because He ‘Can’t Tie Joe Biden Into It’

Rep. James Comer (R-KY), chairman of the House Oversight Committee, is furious that the Justice Department decided to indict Hunter Biden, son of President Joe Biden, on three gun charges, and he made it clear when asked about the indictment that he’s most upset that DOJ charged Hunter Biden with a crime he cannot tie the president to.

Mediate notes:

Months ago, Comer was among those who complained Hunter Biden was getting a “sweetheart deal” with the Justice Department before that deal wound up falling apart.

That led a reporter to ask the congressman, “Sounds like you are still expressing skepticism. I mean, the idea that you wanted an indictment. From your perspective here, that’s not enough?”

Comer replied, “You have never heard me say anything about gun charges. Again, that’s the one crime he’s committed that you cannot tie to Joe Biden.”

Doesn’t the indictment prove that Special Counsel David Weiss did the right thing and wasn’t “politicized?”

The Kentucky Republican replied, “Well, I don’t know. We’ll see. That was an easy charge. So, I’m still holding out hope that Weiss does the right thing. This is — again — the least of all the dozen crimes he’s committed, the one charge, the one crime that Joe Biden wasn’t involved.”

Comer later issued a statement which he posted on social media. It reads:

“Today’s charges against Hunter Biden are a very small start, but unless U.S. Attorney Weiss investigates everyone involved in the fraud schemes and influence peddling, it will be clear President Biden’s DOJ is protecting Hunter Biden and the big guy.”

Translation: Comer has no case and now he has no leverage over Hunter Biden. Matter of fact, he probably cannot subpoena the president’s son because his attorneys won’t allow him to testify before Congress.

Of course, Comer never had any evidence of wrongdoing by the president, but now he has absolutely nothing. He has no proof of anything and he can’t use Hunter Biden as a designated whipping boy.

In other words, Comer and the GOP are f*cked.
