Hunter Biden Has A Devastating Comeback When Matt Gaetz Asks Him About His Drug Use

Hunter Biden’s closed-door testimony before the House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday led to sparks between Biden and committee member Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) when the Florida congressman asked about drug usage by the president’s son, according to a transcript of the hearing.

Gaetz began by asking Biden, “Were you on drugs when you were on the Burisma board?”

Biden responded, “Mr. Gaetz, look me in the eye. You really think that’s appropriate to ask me?”

Gaetz, “Absolutely.”

“Of all the people sitting around this table,” Biden said, “do you think that’s appropriate to ask me?”

Biden’s comment was a reference to an ongoing House Ethics Committee investigation of Gaetz for alleged drug use and sex with underage girls who were reportedly transported across state lines.

“I will answer it this way,” Biden told Gaetz. “I have been absolutely transparent about my drug use. Was I an addict? Yes, I was an addict. What does that have to do with whether or not you’re going to go forward with an impeachment of my father other than to simply try to embarrass me?”

It remains to be seen if the House Ethics Committee will release the results of its investigation of Gaetz before the November election. The report could result in the congressman being booted from Congress.

A federal criminal investigation of Gaetz for sex trafficking ended in 2023 when the Justice Department declined to charge him with any crimes related to his actions, NBC News reported at the time.

Prosecutors had spent months investigating Gaetz’s personal conduct and, specifically, allegations that he was part of a scheme that led to the sex trafficking of a 17-year-old girl. At the core of their investigation was testimony from a former Gaetz associate, Joel Greenberg, who worked as a Florida tax collector.

WATCH Jim Jordan Get Brutally Fact-Checked On Live TV When He Lies About Hunter Biden

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) tried to continue lying about Hunter Biden and was brutally fact-checked to his face by a CNN correspondent who reminded him that he was lying.

Just last week, Jordan’s top “whistleblower,” Alexander Smirnov, was arrested and charged with lying to the FBI after he admitted that he had indeed given Republican lawmakers information that came directly from Russian intelligence.

But despite those damning facts, Jordan told CNN’s Manu Raju he still had enough evidence to impeach President Joe Biden.

“It doesn’t change the four fundamental facts,” Jordan insisted. “Hunter Biden was put on the board of Burisma, gets paid $1 million a year. Fact No. 2, he’s not qualified to be on the board — he said so himself in an interview, I don’t know, with you or some network. Fact No. 3, [Mykola] Zlochevsky and [Vadym] Pozharsky, the two executives at Burisma, specifically asked Hunter Biden, ‘Can you weigh in with D.C. and help us deal with the pressure we are facing from the prosecutor?’ Fact No. 4, Joe Biden, then he gets called, Hunter Biden calls his dad, according to Devon Archer, Hunter Biden’s business partner. Joe Biden then goes to Ukraine three days later and conditions the release of the money, American tax money, on the firing of the prosecutor who was applying the pressure to the company that Hunter Biden sat on the board of.”

“You said the 1023 [report] is the most corroborating piece of information you had,” Raju countered, referring to an FBI report that House Republicans have been citing since they began their wild goose hunt.

“It corroborates,” Jordan insisted, “but it doesn’t change those fundamental facts.”

That’s when Raju did an instant fact check on Jordan.

“Well, it’s not true,” he told the Ohio Republican.

Republicans have absolutely no proof that President Biden did anything wrong. They’re just trying to run interference for Donald Trump, who has been charged with 91 crimes and faces the rest of his life behind bars.

Nice try, Jim, but you’re full of crap.

Hunter Biden Just Beat Comer And Jordan At Their Own Game

When Hunter Biden showed up on Wednesday in response to a congressional subpoena, some House Republicans thought they had just won a major victory over the president’s son and now had the upper hand in their impeachment inquiry.

But it now appears that the actual victor was Hunter Biden himself, and it’s likely that the GOP won’t be able to charge him with contempt of Congress.

According to CNN legal analyst Norm Eisen, Reps. James Comer (R-KY) and Jim Jordan (R-OH) walked right into a carefully constructed trap set by Hunter Biden and his attorney, Abbe Lowell.

Eisen explained on Twitter/X.

Contempt? Not so fast, Eisen continues.

In other words, House Republicans can make all the referrals for contempt to the Justice Department they want, but none of them will be pursued by the DOJ because they clearly didn’t conduct their investigation in a legal fashion, meaning their subpoena has no power and cannot be enforced, no matter what “facts” they present.

So for now, it appears to be game, set, and match for Hunter Biden, who just so happens to have a law degree from Yale and one of the best legal teams in Washington.

Meanwhile, on the GOP side you have Jim Jordan, who never took the bar exam and James Comer, who is financially and legally compromised in all sorts of ways.

Well played, Hunter. Well played indeed.

Jim Jordan Mocked For His ‘Hypocritical’ Remarks About Hunter Biden Ignoring A Subpoena

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) is furious that Hunter Biden is refusing to comply with a subpoena from his committee for testimony as part of the GOP’s impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden.

On Wednesday, Jordan posted this on Twitter/X:

That’s pretty rich (not to mention incredibly hypocritical) considering that Jordan himself obstructed Congress by refusing to testify before the House Select Committee that investigated the January 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol. The committee subpoenaed Jordan, but he has yet to sit for a sworn deposition.

It didn’t take long before Jordan was relentlessly mocked and reminded of his own history as a scofflaw.

WATCH Nancy Mace Get Her A*s Handed To Her When She Accuses Hunter Biden Of ‘White Privilege’

Republican Congresswoman Nancy Mace (SC) stepped way over the line Wednesday during a House Oversight Committee hearing when she accused Hunter Biden of “white privilege.”

The president’s son showed up as a contempt of Congress citation was about to be voted on, according to NBC News.

Hunter Biden arrived on Capitol Hill on Wednesday morning to attend in person congressional committee meetings called to hold him in contempt of Congress — setting up an unprecedented standoff on live television between the son of the president and House Republicans who have long sought his testimony as part of their impeachment inquiry into his father.

“You are the epitome of white privilege coming into the Oversight Committee, spitting in our face, ignoring a Congressional subpoena to be deposed,” Mace told the president’s son.

That didn’t sit well with fellow committee member Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), who lit into Mace.

“This is something that I just can’t get over. I can’t get over the gentle lady from South Carolina talking about white privilege.”

“It was a spit in the face, at least of mine as a black woman, for you to talk about what white privilege looks like, especially from that side of the aisle.”

Crockett was far from finished excoriating Mace and the GOP.

“When you look at the Democrats, they actually look like America,” she added. “You see, you want to talk about a two-tier justice system, and this is the only time that y’all have ever referenced it, when this country has a history, when it comes to black and brown folk, of having two separate sets of rules.”

Mace tried to defend herself with a half-baked reply of how she had worked to advance civil rights.

“I want to say, number one, as a former ranking member of the Civil Rights Subcommittee under Chairman Raskin last session, I take great pride as a white female Republican to address the inadequacies in our country. I come from a district where rich and poor is literally black and white, black versus white on most days.”

Mace also had this to say: “My largest jail in my district, which is the largest jail in the state of South Carolina, has had seven or eight deaths in the last two years. I was there with our Black and African American council members trying to get the right thing done. And I’ve stood with those Black families because I know the differences that they see day to day in their life. And I try to do the best that I can.”

Sure thing, Nancy. That’s just another version of “Some of my best friends are black,” and no one is buying your bullshit.
