GOP Impeachment Kamala Harris WTF?!

Republican Says Kamala Harris Needs To Be Impeached Because She’s ‘Always Laughing’

If you thought you’d heard all of the preposterous reasons Republicans can possibly come up with for why they don’t like Vice President Kamala Harris (hint: it’s because she’s black), consider what a caller had to say on the C-SPAN program Washington Journal.

The caller identified himself as Rory from California, and it didn’t take long before he was prattling on about the 25th Amendment and how a member of the GOP could rise to the White House.

“I think Harris will never be competent and if the 25th Amendment is used against Biden then she might become the president. So, I think the 25th Amendment will get rid of Biden. And then she may be impeached and then you’ll get a Republican who is now the head of the House.”

Host Bill Scanlan asked, “What would she be impeached on, Rory?”

Rory suggested it would be because Harris is “always laughing.”

“Incompetence; always laughing like a fool. And never doing anything. Spending money on things that don’t go. And they need to close [the border] — I mean, really put real barriers if necessary with guns to stop aliens from coming over, especially the drug cartels more than the people who want a better life.”

The only reason Harris could be impeached, according to the U.S. Constitution, is for “high crimes and misdemeanors.” Last time I checked, laughing didn’t fit into either of those categories.

Again, the reason conservatives despise Harris is because she’s a strong, successful black woman, as Color of Change President Arisha Hatch noted during an interview with the Los Angeles Times:

“If it weren’t her laugh, it’d be her smile or the way she dressed.”

But it’s really all about the color of her skin and her gender. That’s what irks Republicans the most.

Here’s the video from C-SPAN:

Trump Demands Mitch McConnell Be ‘Impeached’ (Even Though He Can’t Be)

Failed, one-term, twice-impeached former president Donald Trump wants Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) to be impeached if he agrees to raise the federal debt ceiling.

Appearing on Real America’s Voice (since Fox will no longer allow him on their airwaves), the host interviewing the disgraced ex-president declared:

“Democrats are scheming, probably with some of the RINOs (Republicans in Name Only), in order to blow the debt ceiling up.”

Trump replied:

“It’s crazy, what’s happening with this debt ceiling. Mitch McConnell keeps allowing them to have it.”

What would the consequences of not raising the debt ceiling be? According to the U.S. Treasury:

“Failing to increase the debt limit would have catastrophic economic consequences. It would cause the government to default on its legal obligations – an unprecedented event in American history. That would precipitate another financial crisis and threaten the jobs and savings of everyday Americans – putting the United States right back in a deep economic hole, just as the country is recovering from the recent recession.”

Despite that, the oft-bankrupt Trump then called for McConnell’s impeachment:

“I mean, they ought to impeach Mitch McConnell, if he allows that.”

However, a U.S. Senator cannot be impeached. They can be censured, reprimanded, and even expelled, but impeachment can’t be used on any member of Congress. The Constitution doesn’t allow it. But it’s doubtful that Trump has actually read the document.

Trump added:

“Frankly, Mitch McConnell, something has to be, they have something on him. How he approves this thing is incredible.”

Frankly, it should be a requirement that anyone as brain damaged and downright ignorant as Donald Trump is disallowed from serving in any office whatsoever. Electing morons only serves to make us the laughingstock of the world and imperil the very foundations of our democracy.

Besides, Donald holds the record on impeachments with two. It’s the only thing he’s accomplished in his otherwise pathetic life.

WATCH: Jim Jordan Gets Nervous When Maria Bartiromo Urges Him To Impeach Merrick Garland

As eager as he usually seems when it comes to attacking everything President Joe Biden or his administration does, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) seemed to get more than a bit nervous when urged to impeach Attorney General Merrick Garland by Fox News host Maria Bartiromo on Sunday.

Bartiromo, host of “Sunday Morning Futures,” told Jordan:

“The first thing that Republicans should do when they take back Congress is impeach Merrick Garland. What are your plans for Merrick Garland?”

The Ohio Republican replied:

“Well, you, you — they’re right that we have to look real closely at the Justice Department. And I think we may have to do some major changes. There may need to be structural changes at the FBI. I mean, you may need — the Washington field office has way too much power. You may need to disperse power around.”

Jordan added that he believed disgraced former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn had been treated unfairly even though he lied to the FBI, which just so happens to be a felony:

“Because we know they went to set up Michael Flynn back in the early days of the Trump administration. So, maybe we need to deal with their funding.”

Set him up? He was asked questions and he gave untruthful responses. That’s a crime.

While he was at it, Jordan also suggested that the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act shouldn’t be reauthorized because it was used to investigate possible collusion between the 2016 Trump campaign and Russia.

“And then there’s also the impeachment question which I think the committee will look at. That will be a decision for the entire conference under then-Speaker McCarthy.”

The radicals in the GOP (which is now the vast majority of the party) have said ever since Biden took office that they plan to try and impeach him if they win the midterm elections. It’s yet another reason they need to be soundly defeated at the ballot box and never again given power.

GOP’s Talk Of Impeaching Biden Is A ‘Political Loser’ And Likely To Cost Them The Midterms: Report

Republicans may be on the verge of losing the upcoming midterm elections with their constant talk about investigating and impeaching President Joe Biden if they retake control of the House.

Reportedly, the White House is hoping the GOP will continue to make threats because they believe it will boomerang on them, according to Politico.

There is a growing confidence in the White House that the House Republicans clamoring for a hodgepodge of investigations will overreach — and that their attempts will backfire politically, with key voters recoiling at blatant partisan rancor. Officials believe they can use GOP efforts to their political advantage heading into the 2024 cycle, betting a pro-Trump Republican conference fixated on Biden will elevate “ultra-MAGA Republicans” and provide a useful foil for Biden, allowing him to draw sharp contrasts between his governing and their obfuscating.

According to “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough, the Biden administration is absolutely correct in their political calculus:

“I couldn’t agree more. I haven’t really thought about it that much, looking forward to Republicans getting in there and impeaching Joe Biden. They talked about it. We had just said earlier in the show, there are only two examples of the party out of power blowing it in midterm elections. One was after Sept. 11, where Republicans did much, much better than anybody expected, beat all the historical trends.”

He added:

“The other, though, when I was there in 1998, during impeachment, Republicans were sure they going to do extraordinarily well. It blew up politically in their face, and Democrats and Bill Clinton did much better. We expected this to push Bill Clinton to the side. In the end, it cost Newt Gingrich his job.

“So impeachment, for the most part, makes the party base feel great. It is a political loser.”

In order to get their voters to the polls in November, Republicans are using more extreme messages, including the one regarding impeachment. But that sort of rhetoric is not popular with independent voters and is also energizing Democrats.

Trump Thought He Could ‘Sue’ Congress For Daring To Impeach Him: Report

After the House of Representatives voted to impeach failed, one-term former president Donald Trump in 2019 for pressuring Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate Hunter Biden, the son of his Democratic presidential rival, Joe Biden, the clueless Trump wanted to sue Congress for taking such an action, even though impeachment is clearly spelled out in the U.S. Constitution.

That, according to HuffPost, is one of the revelations in a new book from New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman, Confidence Man: The Making of Donald Trump and the Breaking of America.

“I’ll just sue Congress. They can’t do this to me,” Trump said, according to excerpts from Haberman’s book.

And that’s not the only head-shaking moment in Haberman’s book.

There was also a scene in debate prep when Trump humiliated himself, which seems to be the only thing he excels at.

The book also details comments by Trump during preparation for a debate in which former Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus ― while pretending to be a transgender student ― asked the then-candidate if she could use the girls’ bathroom, CNN reported.

“I have a question, cocked or decocked?” Trump reportedly asked before receiving “blank stares” and making a “chopping gesture.”

“With cock or without cock?” he continued.

Confidence Man will be released on October 4.
