Former Staffer Reveals Trump’s ‘Incandescently Stupid’ Plan For Getting Cattle Over His Border Wall 

One of Donald Trump’s signature issues and campaign promises when he ran for president in 2016 was that he’d build a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border and make the Mexican government pay for it.

However, as soon as construction began on the wall, it soon became clear that some unanticipated problems would require solutions, according to former Trump administration Department of Homeland Security Miles Taylor in a soon-to-be-released book he’s written, Blowback: A Warning to Save Democracy From the Next Trump

According to Newsweek, one of the most daunting challenges involved cattle.

In his book, Taylor recalls that in a March 7, 2019, meeting, Trump “out of nowhere” complained that ranchers in Texas were being allowed to open doors in the border wall to allow their cattle to reach the Rio Grande.

“No doors. I don’t want doors,” Trump said, according to Taylor. “How crazy is this? There are doors in the border wall? It’s stupid. They can just walk up, open the door, and thousands of [illegals] rush in.”

Kirstjen Nielsen, then the homeland security secretary, told Trump that this wasn’t true, Taylor writes. But Trump “didn’t care” and ordered them to acquire any land where ranchers had access to the Rio Grande.

But if you build a wall with no doors, how in the world will the cattle be able to go across?

Trump’s solution: Have the animals cross via ladders.

“Give the ranchers ladders. They can use ladders to get to the other side, but not doors. You could use small fire trucks. Call the local fire stations, and use the ladders on their trucks to help them get over.”

Taylor says the idea was “so incandescently stupid I couldn’t laugh.”

How do you tell a moron with no understanding of basic physics and the animal world that cows and horses are not going to climb ladders, no matter what’s waiting for them on the other side?

Of course, none of this should surprise anyone when you consider some of the other moronic ideas the Donald had while serving as president. For example:

Lauren Boebert Just Proved She Has Absolutely No Idea How Time Works

Colorado Republican Congresswoman Lauren Boebert has never been the sharpest knife in the proverbial drawer, but something she tweeted out Monday afternoon regarding the situation on the U.S.-Mexico border is now making some wonder if she can even understand how time works.

The subject of Boebert’s tweet was the so-called “surge” taking place at the border since Title 42 ended last week.

Has there been a massive influx of migrants since the policy ended? No. There hasn’t.

The Hill reports:

According to the most recent figures released Monday, the number of encounters at the border fell by about 50 percent in the first three days after Title 42 was abandoned 

Whereas the daily number of such encounters had been predicted to reach somewhere in the ballpark of 13,000, it instead came in around 5,000. There were few scenes of disorder or chaos. 

And yet, Boebert tweeted out this:

Just how stupid is Boebert? Is she unable to read a chart? Or is the congresswoman so mentally challenged that she cannot even understand last week versus this week?

Twitter users were only too happy to answer that question and also mock Boebert for her lack of comprehension.

MT Greene: Melania Trump Is Proof That Republicans Support Immigration

According to Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), it’s simply not fair to say that Republicans are opposed to immigration and the proof of that is their love of former First Lady Melania Trump.

During debate on a Republican border security bill, Newsweek reports, Greene began her comments on immigration by referencing the wife of failed and indicted former president/sex offender Donald Trump.

“I would like to remind everyone that Republicans believe in legal immigration,” Greene said on Wednesday. “As a matter of fact, we are very proud of our former first lady, Melania Trump, who immigrated legally to the United States. But there is a clear difference in policies when we talk about border and security for the United States of America.

“I think it is very important to remind my colleagues across the aisle what our oath of office actually says. We swear an oath that we will support and defend the constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.”

The Georgia Republican added, “That is a very important oath to swear and it is one to uphold but this is not being upheld in the past two years under this administration. We have seen nearly 5 million people cross our border and it is unsustainable.”

Greene’s claims about Melania’s immigration being legal aren’t exactly factual. As a matter of fact, there have been plenty of questions about how she managed to obtain a visa in the first place.

Mrs. Trump immigrated to the United States on an EB-1, or “Einstein visa,” which is reserved for those “of extraordinary ability” and “sustained national and international acclaim.” That usually means people Nobel Prize winners or those who have earned Olympic medals. She has neither of those and later helped her parents obtain U.S. citizenship even though they possess no special skills or awards.

While Greene may want to try and put a happy face on the Republican policy on immigration, the facts are clear: They want to keep just about everyone from coming to the U.S. unless they have connections or marry a rich sexual predator like Donald Trump.

WATCH Ted Cruz Get His A*s Handed To Him During A Hearing On The Border

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) made a complete ass of himself at a Senate hearing with Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

Cruz began by berating Mayorkas:

“Mr. Secretary, I want to say to you right now — your behavior is disgraceful. And the deaths, the children assaulted, the children raped. They are at your feet, and if you had integrity, you’d resign.”

The Texas Republican added:

“And I will tell you, the men and women of the Border Patrol, they’ve never had a political leader undermine them. They despise you, Mr. Secretary, because you’re willing to let children be raped to follow political orders. This is a crisis. It’s a disgrace. You won’t even admit this human tragedy is a crisis.”

After Cruz had pitched his hissy fit for the cameras, committee chairman Sen. Richard Durbin (D-IL) asked Mayorkas if he had any response to Cruz. Mayorkas replied, “What the senator said was revolting. I’m not going to address it.”

Cruz couldn’t resist getting in the last word, “Your refusal to do your job is revolting.”

Sen. Alex Padilla (D-CA) then chided Cruz:

“I think it’s [disrespectful] to suggest or imply that the root causes of a broken immigration system are so simple that they can be answered in two-and-a-half seconds or less.”

WATCH Katie Porter Perfectly Counter GOP Lies About Border Security

At a hearing of the House Oversight Committee on Tuesday, Rep. Katie Porter (D-CA) used facts, logic, common sense, and motherly wisdom to completely destroy Republican talking points regarding the issue of drugs being smuggled into the United States via the border with Mexico.

Specifically, Porter pointed to the number of fentanyl seizures at the U.S.-Mexico border and the jump in those numbers beginning in June of 2020.

Just last week CBS News reported on the issue:

For years, the Sinaloa Cartel controlled most trafficking across the U.S.-Mexico border. But officials from DHS’ investigative arm, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) tell CBS News they’re tracking an uptick in activity by the Jalisco New Generation Cartel or CJNG. “They [also] have the contacts to China and then furthermore, the distribution networks to get things across the United States, the smuggling networks,” one official added.

But these criminal networks rely on the cooperation of Americans, too. Data from the U.S. Sentencing Commission shows that between 2017–2021, 86% of fentanyl trafficking offenders were American citizens.

Directing a question to Chief Border Patrol Agent John Modlin, who was testifying as a witness at the hearing, Porter asked if he could explain the reason for the surge in fentanyl seizures. Modlin replied he couldn’t and had no idea why the numbers had increased.

Porter then noted that increased seizures are actually a sign of success because the more fentanyl that’s seized, the less will be on American streets.

“For me, as a mom, that is a sign of success. I don’t want that fentanyl in this country. It is dangerous and kills people and makes our community dangerous. And to me, this is a sign that our Border Patrol and our agents… are doing their jobs. What I find interesting is, despite success here, what we are seeing is an effort to characterize seizures as failures.”

For months, Republicans have been complaining about the rise in fentanyl seizures. Which makes you wonder, Would they prefer the drugs not be stopped at the border and wind up in our communities? They just want something they can try to blame on the Biden administration, but their lies are catching up with them.
