Marjorie Taylor Greene Claims Horse Drug Ivermectin Won The โ€˜Nobel Peace Prizeโ€™ In Bizarre Rant

It’s been clear for some time now that Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) isn’t very bright. Just about every single time she opens her mouth, Greene makes a horse’s ass of herself and proves that her understanding of most issues is superficial at best.

Green’s latest expression of gross stupidity comes as the congresswoman attacks Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and chief medical adviser to President Joe Biden.

Appearing on “Real America’s Voice,” Greene began ranting that she didn’t understand why the anti-parasitic drug Ivermectin hasn’t been approved by the administration to treat COVID-19.

The reason, of course, is because Ivermectin has never been proven to be the least bit effective against coronavirus.

But according to Greene, Ivermectin is such a great drug that “it even won a Nobel Peace Prize.”

No. It didn’t.

In 2015, scientists William C. Campbell and Satoshi Omura were awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for showing that Ivermectin is effective at treating infections caused by roundworm parasites.

But that wasn’t all of the idiocy Greene spewed. She also said this:

“It is deeply irresponsible for the Biden administration, the CDC, Dr. Fauci, and any of these doctors to be advising people to not prescribe it.”

Yes, and maybe after that they can urge people to inject disinfectant the way the brainless fool who was the 45th president suggested people do to cleanse their bodies of the virus.

Why in the hell do morons like Marjorie Taylor Greene have no problem urging people to take dangerous medications yet refuse to call for everyone to get something as simple as a vaccine? Their outrage over what could truly help this country defeat COVID is nothing more than a way for them to stir up hatred and fear. And all they’re accomplishing is sending more Americans to hospital ICUs and the grave.

Ron DeSantis Sent Bonus Checks To Florida Teachers โ€“ Many Of Them Bounced

Ever since the COVID pandemic began last year, few politicians have mishandled the disease as badly as Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis, who has repeatedly tried to minimize the importance of vaccines and protective masks, holding himself up as some sort of beacon of fake freedom for the people in his state who refuse to do what’s necessary to control a public health crisis that has so far killed nearly 54,000 people in the Sunshine State.

In an effort to literally buy the loyalty of teachers in the state, DeSantis decided he’d take some of the federal money given to his state and hand out $1,000 COVID bonuses to Florida teachers. Great idea, right? Yeah, until the checks started bouncing.

According to the Tampa Bay Times:

When dozens of Florida teachers tried to cash their state-issued $1,000 bonus checks this week, they got a startling response: โ€œinsufficient funds.โ€

No, the State of Florida hasnโ€™t run out of money. Instead, the bad checks are being blamed on a โ€œbanking errorโ€ by JPMorgan Chase.

Checks issued toat least 50 teachers in 22 different counties bounced because of the error, Florida Department of Education spokesman Jared Ochs said.

Of course, considering that DeSantis has long considered failed, one-term former President Donald Trump to be his political idol and mentor, you can understand why some of the teachers might have thought the governor had stiffed them. After all, Trump has failed to pay contractors for decades, leading many of them to going bankrupt despite Donald having contracts with them. Trump’s solution was to tie up the matter in court for years, waiting for the contractors to drop their cases against him because the legal bills became too much of a burden.

In the past, teacher bonuses from the state of Florida have been sent to school districts for distribution, but DeSantis couldn’t resist taking a page from Donnie Dirtbag and issuing paper checks with accompanying letters bearing his signature:

The state paid a private contractor $3.6 million to print and send the checks. That led some lawmakers and the union representing school teachers to accuse DeSantis of using the bonuses to score political points.

The state said that by sending the money directly, saying the $3.6 million was well below the 10 percent normally allotted or administrative costs on federal funding.

DeSantis is facing an uncertain political future. He’s up for reelection in 2022, but his poll numbers have collapsed and there are at least two Democrats (one of whom, Charlie Crist, is a former governor of the state) who are polling ahead of him and could easily win next November.

Turns out Ron DeSantis is indeed a lot like Donald Trump: Neither one of them is bright enough to realize that the solution to a pandemic is following the science and not trying to buy people’s loyalty.

Jen Psaki Schools Peter Doocy For Making A False Equivalency Between Immigration And Public Health

Once again Monday, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki had to take Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy, and when she was finished, Doocy was babbling like a four-year-old.

The confrontation came when Doocy asked about foreign nationals coming into the United States and whether or not they are being asked to provide evidence they don’t have COVID-19 or have been vaccinated:

“Is someone asking the foreign nationals for proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test?”

Psaki began to respond:

“Well, first of all, I can walk you through the steps.”

Doocy interrupted:

“That’s the policy for people who fly into the country. So why if somebody walks into the country right across the river, does somebody ask them to see their vaccination card?”

The press secretary hit Doocy with both barrels:

โ€œLet me explain to you again, Peter, how the process works, as the individuals come across the border and assessed if they have symptoms, and if they have symptoms they are quarantined. That is the process. They are not intending to stay here for a lengthy period of time.”

And yet, Doocy still couldn’t comprehend what he’d just been told:

“But they’re here. What’s the difference?”

Clearly annoyed by Doocy’s inability to grasp what she was saying, Psaki told him:

“It’s not the same thing. These are individuals — as we’ve noted and has been discussed — we are expelling individuals based on Title 42 because of Covid, because we want to prevent a scenario where large numbers of people are gathering, posing a threat to the community and also to the migrants themselves.

“So those are the policies that we’ve put in place, because the CDC continues to recommend Title 42 be in place, given we’re facing a global pandemic.”

Apparently, Peter Doocy hasn’t bothered to look at today’s news and see that the United States is expelling Haitian refugees who are seeking to come into the country at this time. But what can be done about the unvaccinated Americans who refuse to do their part and get the shot? What can we do about Fox News, Newsmax, and One America News and their bullshit lies/conspiracy theories about the COVID vaccine?

Doocy works at Fox, so it’s safe to bet he’s been vaccinated because Fox has a vaccine mandate. How’s that for hypocrisy?

MTG Calls Herself The โ€˜Most Effective Member Of Congress’ And Gets Side-Eye From Steve Bannon

Perhaps you thought that Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) could not possibly be more delusional, ignorant, and treasonous, but something she said Thursday to disgraced former Trump administration official Steve Bannon even took her host by surprise.

Appearing on Bannon’s “Real America Voice” podcast, HuffPost notes, Greene uncorked one hell of a lie:

She told the former Trump White House strategist: โ€œI have been the most effective member of Congress this session.”

She said this was because of her insistence on roll call votes on each question before the House, so itโ€™s clear where each member stands.

Greene, however, has been unable to do much congressional work since February, when she was stripped of her committee assignments because of her support for racist and antisemitic conspiracy theories, and for advocating the execution prominent Democrats

After Greene made that statement, Bannon appeared to give the congresswoman some major side-eye. Take a look:

How blatant was the look Bannon gave Greene? So much so that “even Bannon” began trending on Twitter.

There’s also the reaction from social media, much of which was both devastating and priceless.

High School Girl Flips Off Anti-Mask Protesters And Becomes An Internet Sensation

A high school girl in Vermont became an instant social media hero after she flipped anti-mask protesters off and a photo of her reaction spread like wildfire on social media.

The protesters have been outside the girl’s school — Champlain Valley Union High School — each morning recently, so Meagan Downey texted a message to her mother, Fiona, that read:

“I FLIPPED OFF THE ANTI-MASKERS AND SHE FLIPPED ME OFF BACK.”

That uplifted middle finger was captured by Glenn Russell of the VT Digger:

Philip Lewis of HuffPost then tweeted out a screen capture of the photo, and it went viral in no time:

That was all it took for others to give Meagan a big pat on the back for the way she chose to disagree:
