Matt Gaetz Gets Heavily Trolled When He Announces Upcoming Town Hall Meeting With Jim Jordan

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) wants everyone to know that he’s holding a town hall meeting with his good buddy Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) this weekend in Pensacola, but the controversial pasts of both men wound making for hilarious online trolling.

Gaetz posted a notice of what he calls his “Hold Biden Accountable Tour” which is planned for Saturday, August 13. It even comes complete with a video:

Gaetz is currently under investigation for allegedly taking underage girls across state lines, having sex with them, and then paying them via Venmo.

Jordan, on the other hand, allegedly knew about the sexual assault of male wrestlers on the Ohio State wrestling team while he was an assistant coach. He never reported that abuse to authorities even though several wrestlers say he witnessed it on several occcasions.

As you can imagine, the checkered pasts of Gaetz and Jordan led to some hilarious trolling. Take a look:

Matt Gaetz Says He’s Ready To Cut Off All Federal Funds To Law Enforcement After FBI Raid On Trump

Alleged child sex trafficker Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) is vowing to cut off all federal funds to law enforcement because the FBI served a search warrant at Mar-a-Lago on Monday.

In other words, Gaetz wants to “defund the police” even though he and his fellow Republicans have been accusing Democrats of that for years.

Appearing on former Trump administration adviser Steve Bannon’s podcast, Gaetz also compared the FBI to the East German Statsi, who were the secret police during the time when East Germany was under control of the Soviet Union:

“They just wanted to storm the place like the East German Stasi. This is in my opinion the most defining moment of the Joe Biden presidency. Before this, it would have been Afghanistan.”

Gatez went on to allege that Democrats have “got their polling back” on the recently passed Inflation Reduction Act, adding:

“At the same time, they see that we are closing in on Hunter Biden. We’re going to be able to pull those investigative threads with subpoena power.”

And then Gaetz declared that he would not agree to give “one more damn penny” to federal agents who protect the country:

“So if that’s the diagnosis, my assessment that the antidote has to be not one more damn penny for this administrative state that has been weaponized against our people in a very fascist way. They want to ensure that they centralize their power and so it’s my perspective that, you know, if they want to limit the choices of voters with this performative activity then we ought to limit the resources that they have to be able to execute on it.”

How much do you suppose Gaetz will cry when the FBI shows up to arrest him for allegedly carrying underage girls across state lines and paying them for their time via Venmo? Let’s just hope there are cameras there to record it.

Lauren Boebert Makes A Fool Of Herself With A Grammatically Flawed Attack On Hunter Biden

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) proved yet again that she’s one of the most intellectually deficient members of Congress with a tweet she sent out Sunday in which she referenced a speech she made at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) that was held in Dallas over the weekend.

HuffPost reports:

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) shared a video of herself pacing the stage at CPAC as she ranted against Hunter Biden, son of President Joe Biden and a popular talking point in right-wing circles.

Just one problem: In a tweet with a clip of the rant, Boebert apparently wanted to call him “compromised,” but instead called him “comprised.”

Boebert later deleted the tweet after Dictionary.com subtweeted her:

But even though Boebert tried to hide the evidence of her ignorance, the internet is forever and screenshots live on:

“Comprised” even began trending on social media, and it wasn’t long before Twitter handed out the mockery Boebert deserved:

Lauren Boebert Humiliates Herself With A Tweet About Begging For ‘Acceptance’

Perhaps you’re wondering what’s going today in the World of Stupid. If so, it probably won’t surprise you to learn that Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) is one of the headlines in that particular department.

Out of nowhere Wednesday, Boebert posted this on Twitter:

“Don’t beg for acceptance from people who hate you.”

And this is in reference to what exactly? She failed to make that clear, which isn’t exactly new when it comes to Boebert. After all, this is the same woman who has previously left us all scratching our heads with these pearls of idiocy:

Regarding calls for gun control to reduce mass shootings, Boebert remarked, “When 9/11 happened, we didn’t ban planes, we secured the cockpits.”

She attacked the Walt Disney Company by misspelling the name of Mickey Mouse.

Or perhaps you prefer a lovely Thanksgiving message:

“Today I’m thankful to have ZERO Brandon voters in my family! Just enjoying the day maskless, not waiting in the garage to do a PCR test, and no soy replacement meat in sight.”

Reaction to Bobo’s “acceptance” tweet was priceless. Take a look:

When it comes to begging for acceptance, perhaps Lauren can explain this:

Liz Cheney Claps Back At Tom Cotton After He Slams Jan. 6 Hearings – But Admits He Hasn’t Watched Them

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) made Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) look like a complete fool after he criticized the hearings being conducted by the House Select Committee investigating the January 6 Capitol insurrection.

Cotton appeared on Hugh Hewitt’s radio show Monday and slammed the hearings, Mediaite reports:

“It was clear in Nancy Pelosi’s refusal to seat Jim Jordan and Jim Banks as Republican members of that committee, a break with precedent going back to the beginning of the House of Representatives in the 18th Century. And I think what you’ve seen over the last few weeks is why Anglo-American jurisprudence going back centuries has found that adversarial inquiry, cross-examination is the best way to get at the truth.”

Cotton later confessed that he hadn’t actually watched the hearings, but had merely seen “a snippet here or there on the news.”

“I will confess that I did not watch that hearing, and I have not watched any of the hearings, so I’ve not seen any of them out of the context that I see a snippet here or there on the news.”

It’s kind of hard to accurately gauge the fairness or probative value of a congressional hearing if you haven’t seen any of it, and that’s exactly what Cheney reminded Cotton on Twitter, where she absolutely destroyed him:

It should be interesting to see if Cotton attempts a retort to Cheney. If he has even a shred of a brain, he won’t. Then again, he’s already proven that he isn’t exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer.
