Mary Trump Says Her Uncle Handed Out ‘Poisoned Water’ At Site Of Ohio Train Derailment

Mary Trump, the niece of disgraced, one-term, twice-impeached former president Donald Trump, said on her podcast that during his visit to East Palestine, Ohio on Tuesday, her uncle was “handing out poisoned water.”

On the latest edition of The Mary Trump Podcast, Ms. Trump compared her uncle to current President Joe Biden and the way his administration is handing the disaster caused by a train derailment in the Ohio town.

“I think the the difference, the contrast between Biden and Donald could not be more stark. And yes, Democrats do need to get better. And I think they are getting better at touting their accomplishments, which are extraordinary. I mean, just absolutely extraordinary. And, you know, you look at a President Biden in Poland and Donald in Helsinki, you know, and and what President Biden is doing for the environment, and Donald Trump going to a train derailment in Ohio, that his policies were were indirectly directly responsible for causing while handing out poisoned water because, sorry, folks, if a bottle of water is ten years old and that bottle is plastic, that is probably not something you want to be drinking.”

Many of us wondered about the bottled water donated by the failed former president to East Palestine residents, some of which was labeled “Trump Ice.” That brand was discontinued 13 years ago, yet another failed venture by the self-proclaimed “great businessman.”

Reuters did a fact check, however, and was able to establish that Trump didn’t hand out water that was over a decade old.

Users online appear to be referring to Trump Ice spring water (here), which was reportedly discontinued in 2010 (here).

A Trump Ice water bottle can be seen in a 2016 photo of a display at the Trump Museum (here). The bottle has a visibly different logo to the ones Trump recently donated in Ohio.

Trump Ice appears to have since been rebranded as Trump Natural Spring Water, according to reports (here), (here), (here).

Spokespeople for Trump and the Trump Organization didn’t immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment.

VERDICT
Misleading. Donald Trump donated Trump Natural Spring Water during a visit to the site of the toxic train derailment in Ohio, not the discontinued Trump Ice brand of water bottles.

However, considering just how shoddy everything Trump makes is, it might be a good idea for Ohioans who run across the Trump Ice brand to dump the bottles in the nearest trash receptacle, which is where the Donald belongs, too.

Former Federal Judge: Pence’s Legal Battle Against Special Counsel’s Subpoena Will Destroy Him

J. Michael Luttig is a conservative former federal judge who is widely respected in legal circles, and he has a stark warning for former Vice President Mike Pence: Your attempt to get out of a subpoena from Special Counsel Jack Smith is likely to backfire on you.

Writing in a New York Times op-ed, Luttig notes that Pence has vowed to take his appeal of Smith’s subpoena “all the way to the Supreme Court,” and offers this advice to the ex-VP:

“A politician should be careful what he wishes for — no more so than when he’s a possible presidential candidate who would have the Supreme Court decide a constitutional case that could undermine his viability in an upcoming campaign.”

The op-ed from Luttig comes just days after he made the same argument on Twitter, laying out the nightmare scenario which could soon face Pence if he does indeed decided that he will continue to fight Smith’s subpoena.

“It is an unsettled question of constitutional law whether a Vice President of the United States possesses qualified Speech or Debate Clause privileges and protections when he or she serves, in accordance with the Twelfth Amendment, as President of the Senate”

Luttig then followed up with a series of postings in which he ripped apart the shaky legal footing Pence was claiming as a way of avoiding having to testify.

Pence will not prevail with his legal shenanigans, Luttig concludes, reminding the the former vice president that the longer he draws out the matter, the worse the timing will be for him and his possible political future:

“Mr. Pence may also be under the impression that the legal fight over his claim will confound the courts, consuming months, if not longer, before he receives the verdict — but it’s unclear what he hopes to gain from the delay. One would have thought Mr. Pence would have seized the propitious opportunity afforded him by Mr. Smith, most likely weeks or months before he even decides whether he will run for the presidency.”

Will Pence heed Luttig’s advice? Considering his slavish devotion to the failed ex-president, it seems unlikely.

Kyle Rittenhouse Facing Massive Financial Lawsuit From Victim He Shot In Kenosha

Though he was found not guilty for the murder of two men in Kenosha, Wisconsin back in 2020, Kyle Rittenhouse is now facing having to pay a massive financial settlement to a man he shot who survived and claims he is owed money for what he went through as a result of the attack.

Fox News reports that Gaige Grosskreutz is seeking economic losses, “damages for emotional distress, humiliation, loss of enjoyment of life, and other pain and suffering on all claims,” and punitive damages.

“Astonishingly, the Kenosha Police Department, Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department, their supervising officials and police officers, and law enforcement officers from surrounding communities did not treat Defendant Rittenhouse or any of the other armed individuals patrolling the streets as a threat to the safety of themselves or the citizens they were sworn to protect,” states the lawsuit, which was obtained by Fox News Digital.

“Instead, the law enforcement Defendants deputized these armed individuals, conspired with them, and ratified their actions by letting them patrol the streets, armed with deadly weapons, to mete out justice as they saw fit,'” said the lawsuit filed Feb. 14 by attorneys Kimberley Motley of Motley Legal Services and E. Milo Schwab of Ascend Counsel.

Rittenhouse also shot two other men, Joseph Rosenbaum, 36, and Anthony Huber, 26, both of whom died.

At a trial held after the shootings, Rittenhouse claimed he acted in self-defense and was acquitted of homicide charges.

Asked about the new lawsuit, Rittenhouse said he’s ready “prove my innocence again,” but claimed it would come with a large price tag, an apparent attempt to get other to pay his legal expenses. He added:

“I guess it came as a shock to why he’s filing a lawsuit because he admitted that he pointed a gun in my face and that he chased me down.”

Grosskreutz, however, claims he “approached with his hands in the air to try to ease the situation and stop the killing.”

Pete Buttigieg Has The Perfect Antidote To Trump’s Bullsh*t – And His Response Has Gone Viral

Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg has gone viral with comments he made in response to criticism from failed former president Donald Trump, and he’s also drawing praise for perfectly countering the lies and bullshit the disgraced ex-president made during his visit to the Norfolk Southern train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio on Thursday.

The back and forth between Buttigieg and Trump began when the one-term, twice-impeached former president was asked about his administration “pulling back rail regulations” which may have contributed to the derailment.

As he often does, Trump insisted, “I had nothing to do with it.” But the facts suggest otherwise, as Newsweek reports:

Speaking to investigative news outlet The Lever, Steven Ditmeyer, a former top official at the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA), said the “severity” of the accident was likely increased by the lack of Electronically Controlled Pneumatic (ECP) brakes.

A rule was passed under President Barack Obama that made it a requirement for trains carrying hazardous flammable materials to have ECP brakes, but this was rescinded in 2017 by the Trump administration.

That led a reporter to ask Buttigieg about what Trump said when the Transportation Secretary was in East Palestine:

“You mentioned the national political figures decided to get involved, it sounds like you’re talking about Trump. And then you said, ‘I need your help.’ How can he help?”

Buttigieg responded:

“Well, one thing he could do is express support for reversing the deregulation that happened on his watch. I heard him say he had ‘nothing to do with it,’ even though it was in his administration. So if he had nothing to do with it, and they did it in his administration against his will, maybe he could come out and say that, that he supports us moving in a different direction.”

The secretary continued:

“We’re not afraid to own our policies when it comes to raising the bar on regulation. And I’ve got to think that him indicating that this is something that everybody ,no matter how much you disagree on politics and presidential campaigns, can get behind – higher fines, tougher regulations on safety, Congress on tying our hands on breaking rules, all the other things that go with it that’d be a nice thing for him to do.”

In just 24 hours time, the video of Buttigieg’s remarks has been viewed nearly 2 million times, leading HuffPost White House correspondent S.V. Dáte to note:

“Never really understood why Republicans think picking fights with him is a good idea. He is hands down the Biden administration’s best communicator, he takes apart the criticism, turns them back on the critics, and does it all without sounding mad.”

Donald Trump fucked around and Pete Buttigieg helped him find out what a mistake that was.

Trump Pelted With Mockery After His Embarrassing New ‘Gig’ At Mar-a-Lago Is Revealed

While he claims to be running for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, we know that failed, one-term, twice-impeached former president Donald Trump is actually doing little more than playing golf and being a bum, as was first reported in December by Olivia Nuzzi of New York magazine.

“He just goes, plays golf, comes back, and fucks off. He has retreated to the golf course and to Mar-a-Lago… His world has gotten much smaller. His world is so, so small.”

But it turns out that Donald has also picked up a new gig at his Mar-a-Lago golf resort that he engages in when he’s not hiding classified documents and lying about it.

According to Page Six, the disgraced former president also serves as part-time disc jockey once a week.

A socially connected insider tells Page Six that “Trump is officially DJing every Thursday night” at the members-only club.

The source added, “Members know this, and when they invite guests they say, ‘Let’s have dinner on Thursday, because Trump DJs every Thursday,’ as an event.”

The source also told Page Six that Trump also engages in politicking while he’s playing tunes.

During all the disc jockeying, “of course he works the room for votes,” the source said. “It’s always a very friendly room, since Mar-a-Lago is serious Trumpland.”

As far as his style, the insider tells us the former president is “on an iPad — usually from his table — so he eats and plays. He loves the ’80s and Broadway tunes — like ‘Phantom of the Opera’ — and Céline Dion, ‘Titanic.’ ”

Broadway tunes, Titanic, and Céline Dion? Sounds horrible.

It didn’t take long before online mockery began, with author Jill Twiss noting, “The one thing I hold dear is that all of the worst people you know will eventually try to become a DJ.”

Laura Bassett of Jezebel also laughed at the idea of Donnie the DJ:

“If this man is never actually going to be in jail for his various crimes, the next best thing is for him just to stay put in that soothing, Groundhogs Day-style time loop, utterly content with his Thursday night DJ gigs and unable to fuck up geopolitics.”

Just don’t let him dance. He’s BEYOND bad at dancing.
