Trump’s Saudi-Funded Golf Tournament Is A Giant Dud – Tickets Going For As Little As $1

Proving once again that he is a terrible judge of what is a good business decision, failed, one-term former president Donald Trump’s partnership with the Saudi-funded LIV golf tournament has turned into a massive dud, with people staying away in droves and tickets going for as little as a buck a pop.

According to the Wall Street Journal:

“The delicate politics of this new tour took a marquee role at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster for LIV’s third event. Mr. Trump has emerged as a rare politician in favor of the Saudi-backed venture, as many on Capitol Hill have raised concerns over it.”

The families of those who perished on Sept. 11, 2001 have also objected to Trump hosting a golf event in connection with the Saudis. 15 of the 19 hijackers who carried out the 9/11 terror attack were Saudi nationals.

On Wednesday, ABC News reported:

Terry Strada, the chair of the organization 9/11 Families United, which advocates for families of victims and survivors of the 2001 attacks, was shocked when she heard that the LIV Golf Tournament would be playing at the Bedminster Golf Course in Bedminster, New Jersey.

“I couldn’t believe that it was actually going to be playing right there practically in my backyard.”

Trump’s response to Strada and other family members of 9/11 victims only added insult to injury, with the twice-impeached ex-president saying:

“Nobody’s gotten to the bottom of 9/11, unfortunately.”

“But I can tell you that there are a lot of really great people that are out here today, and we’re gonna have a lot of fun, and we’re going to celebrate. Money’s going to charity—a lot of money’s going to charity.”

And now financial karma is paying a visit to the “great businessman” who was impeached twice while in office, with the Journal noting:

The golf itself, meanwhile, wasn’t exactly supercharged—light crowds were spread across much of the vast grounds here on the first day of the tournament. Tickets for the Saturday session were available on stubhub.com for as little as $1.

Of course, anyone who would pay anything to see Trump play golf is a fool. Watching a morbidly obese loser who cheats and lies about his actual score is so pathetic that he should have to bribe people just to pay attention.

Trump Buries First Wife Ivana At His NJ Golf Course And Twitter Has Some Thoughts

Donald Trump’s first wife, Ivana, has now found her final resting place after passing away at the age of 73 on July 14 after falling down the stairs at her New York home.

HuffPost reports:

The New York Post has published photos of Ivana Trump’s burial site at her former husband’s Trump National Golf Course in New Jersey.

The plot, near the first green at Donald Trump’s course in Bedminster, is currently bare ground marked with a granite plaque with her name, her birthdate and death date. A spray of white flowers lies at the head.

The New York Times reported the day of her funeral a week ago that the ground had been consecrated so that she could have a traditional Catholic burial.

Based on plans filed several years ago, Ivana isn’t the only person Donald plans to inter at at his Bedminster golf club:

In 2017, The Trump Organization filed plans to build twin graveyards at the course, The Washington Post reported. The smaller one would include 10 plots overlooking the first tee, intended to be for Trump and his family.

“Mr. Trump . . . specifically chose this property for his final resting place as it is his favorite property,” his company wrote.

Yes, nothing says “I love you” quite like putting someone in the ground where people drive golf carts, curse when they miss putts, and grab their crotches as they line up shots on the fairway.

WATCH Karine Jean-Pierre Swat Down Fox’s Peter Doocy For Asking The Same Question SIX TIMES

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre proved Friday during the daily press briefing that she will only take so much crap before she completely shuts down dolts like Peter Doocy of Fox News when they continue to ask the same question after they’ve already gotten an official response.

When Doocy was called on today, his question was, “Why is the Biden administration building a border wall in Arizona?”

Jean-Pierre responded:

“We are not, we’re not finishing the wall. We are cleaning up the mess the prior administration left behind in their failed attempt to build a wall. And I just want to be very, very clear here: On day one we returned the money, the $8 billion the prior administration took from our military. We gave that back to the military, for military families, for schools for bases. That’s what that money was being used. That’s what it was taken away from. And so again, what we’re doing is cleaning up the mess that the prior administration has done.”

Asked and answered, and yet Doocy pressed:

“But President Biden when he was a candidate said, ‘there will not be another foot of wall constructed in my administration.’ So what changed?”

For the second time, Jean-Pierre replied:

“We are not finishing the wall.”

And yet, Doocy came back with the very same question, and he added a fact-free conspiracy theory:

“If walls work in that part of Arizona, is this, is the administration trying to get migrants to cross somewhere else, like in Texas? What, what is the point?”

Clearly getting exasperated (and who wouldn’t?), Jean-Pierre told Doocy:

“We are not finishing a wall. We are cleaning up the mess that the prior administration made. We are trying to save lives. This is what, this is what the prior administration left behind that we are now cleaning up.”

Doocy refused to accept the answer and plodded ahead:

“By finishing the wall is this –”

“We are not finishing the wall,” Jean-Pierre told him, smirking as she did so.

“By filling in – finishing –” Doocy began for the umpteenth time.

“We are not finishing,” Jean-Pierre told him.

That led Doocy to try and add racism to the mix:

“By filling in, is this, is this racist? Because in 2019, when the former guy was proposing a wall, you said that it was his ‘racist’ wall. So how is this any different? I’m just having a hard time understanding how this is any different.”

Jean-Pierre:

“I’m not even sure how you get to your first question, to this question that you just asked me. I will say this –”

“A border wall –” Doocy blurted.

And that’s when Jean-Pierre dropped the hammer on the Fox correspondent:

“I’m answering your question. A border wall is ineffective use of taxpayer dollars. So it’s ineffective of taxpayer dollars – dollars that actually went to the military that the last administration, the prior president took from the military, which took away from schools, which took away from military bases. That’s what that money that he pulled away from, to build this wall that he wanted, that is ineffective, by the way, which I just said. Just recently, CBP reported that new bollard fencing along the southwest border was breached 3272 times between fiscal year of 2019 and 2021, requiring $2.6 billion in repairs. It’s ineffective. We are not finishing the wall, we are cleaning up the mess that the last administration made. Okay?”

Karine Jean-Pierre’s predecessor, Jen Psaki, taught her well. And it’s always fun to see Peter Doocy get put in his place.

New Polls Show Democrats Increasing Their Majority In The Senate: Report

With the 2022 midterm elections now just a bit more than three months away, new polling data in four key battleground states — Georgia, North Carolina, Ohio and Pennsylvania — show Democrats increasing their majority in the U.S. Senate, thanks in large part to weak Republican candidates and their connection to failed, one-term former president Donald Trump.

Mediaite reports that the polling results were released in a memo from Trump’s former national security adviser, John Bolton, and carried the title, “New Poll Finds Trump Hurts Republican Chances in Key Senate Races Independents’ Opposition to Trump Could Give Democrats Outright Senate Control.”

Bolton then broke down the results from a new survey conducted by his John Bolton Super PAC of “likely voters in four key Senate battleground states (Georgia, North Carolina, Ohio, and Pennsylvania).”

In each of these four states, the Trump-backed candidate won the GOP primary and has since made headlines for their lackluster or controversial campaigns.

Summarizing the data, Bolton writes:

“Results indicate that Donald Trump is a significant drag on the general-election prospects of Republican candidates. Independent and undecided voters, whose votes will be critical, perhaps dispositive in November, nationally and in the four swing states, have decidedly unfavorable views of Trump.”

Especially troubling for Republicans is that among Independent voters, Trump’s favorability is 10 points underwater: Favorable 38%, Unfavorable 48%.

Additionally, a mere 12.5% of Republican primary voters identified as “Trump Republicans” and 73% said they were “moderate or conservative.”

Here’s a look at the polls from each state that Bolton cited in his memo:

  • Georgia: Republican Herschel Walker leads Democratic incumbent Raphael Warnock by 4 points 46% to 42% with a large amount of voters still undecided.
  • Pennsylvania: Republican Mehmet Oz is losing badly to Democrat John Fetterman, trailing by 6 points. Trump is seen as favorable by 31% of those surveyed, but 43% say they view the disgraced ex-president unfavorably.
  • Ohio: Republican J.D. Vance is down by 6 points to Democratic Rep. Tim Ryan, 44% to 38%.
  • North Carolina: Republican Ted Budd trails Democrat Cheri Beasley by 3 points, 43% to 40%.

Bolton concludes his memo with this warning for the GOP:

“Whatever Trump’s role in the nominating process, his role in the coming general elections can be fatal to GOP efforts to gain outright control of the Senate.

“Trump’s fixation on himself and the 2020 election are poisonous to independent and undecided voters. Republican candidates who hope to win in November are risking political suicide if they stress their closeness to Trump, or allow their opponents to portray them as mini-Trumps.”

If Republicans do indeed lose more seats in the Senate, one person will be responsible, and his name is Donald John Trump.

West Virginia Lawmakers Shamed By 12-Year-Old For Restricting The Right To Abortion: ‘What About My Life?’

The West Virginia legislature has long wanted to ban abortion in almost all cases, and now that the U.S. Supreme Court has given them the go-ahead to do so with their ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, lawmakers in the Mountain State are busy passing laws to punish women and doctors.

But at a public hearing on a bill to severely restrict abortion in West Virginia on Wednesday, a 12-year-old girl gave the state legislature a searing condemnation of their actions, the Washington Post reports:

After West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice (R) asked lawmakers to “clarify and modernize” the state’s abortion laws to reflect the Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe v. Wade, the Republican-controlled legislature is considering an abortion bill that would not only prohibit the procedure in most cases but also allow for the prosecution of physicians who perform abortions.

So when dozens of people spoke out against the bill at the West Virginia House of Delegates, Addison Gardner was among the speakers given 45 seconds each to plead their case to lawmakers.

In those 45 seconds, Gardner spoke eloquently and with conviction, telling lawmakers:

“My education is very important to me, and I plan on doing great things in life,” she said, noting that she plays varsity volleyball and runs track at Buffalo Middle School in Kenova, W.Va. She then asked a series of questions to the much older lawmakers regarding the lack of protections in House Bill 302: “If a man decides that I’m an object and does unspeakable and tragic things to me, am I, a child, supposed to birth and carry another child? Am I to put my body through the physical trauma of pregnancy? Am I to suffer the mental implications, a child who had no say in what was being done with my body?”

She added, “Some here say they are pro-life. What about my life? Does my life not matter to you?”

As you’d expect, none of the legislators who voted in support of the abortion restriction bill — which passed by a vote of 69-23 — had the decency to respond to Addison Gardner. And that alone tells us what cowards they are and just how little they care about children once they’re no longer in a woman’s womb.

The hypocrisy of the so-called “pro-life” crowd is off the damn charts, and their blatant disregard for the rights of others is proof that they only care about scoring political points, not doing what’s actually best for their citizens.

Addison Gardner is a hero. Here’s hoping one day she’s sitting in the West Virginia legislature and restoring the rights her predecessors took away from her and thousands of others.
