Elections Justice Department The Trump Adminstration WTF?!

Trump DOJ Official Said China Used ‘Special Thermometers’ To Alter The 2020 Vote Count

It’s safe to say that most of us have never heard of Jeffrey Clark, who served at the Justice Department during the Trump administration, but it seems that Clark was the one DOJ official intent on helping the failed, one-term former president successfully overturn the results of the 2020 election by pressuring states to alter their ballot totals.

CNN reports that Clark — who worked at Justice as head of environmental law — used “backchannel efforts” between the White House and Trump’s allies who were also involved in trying to change the results of the election.

Clark had an especially bizarre theory to explain why Trump had lost to Joe Biden in states such as Arizona and Georgia:

“By late December, as Trump and his allies pushed conspiracies about alleged irregularities that he claimed stole the election from him, Clark told senior Justice officials that he knew of sensitive information that indicated Chinese intelligence used special kinds of thermometers to change results in machines tallying votes, people briefed on the matter said. The Justice Department by then had made clear it found no evidence of vote-changing in the election.”

However, when then-Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe briefed members of the DOJ (including Clark), it soon became clear that U.S. intelligence agencies had absolutely no proof of any “Chinese thermometers” as Clark had alleged:

“At Rosen’s request, then-Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe provided the briefing, which drew on classified findings not yet public that showed there was no evidence that foreign interference had affected vote tallies. Rosen and other officials had acceded to his request for a classified briefing out of belief it could put a stop to his unfounded claims of election fraud, according to some of the sources.

“Clark wasn’t swayed by what he heard from Ratcliffe, a Trump loyalist who had stirred controversy with comments seeking to support Trump’s pre-election foreign interference claims that China and Iran were working to elect Joe Biden just as Russia was trying to support Trump.”

Clark will probably be called to testify before congressional committees investigating Trump’s efforts to overturn the election, but it remains unclear if he will obey a subpoena and also if Trump will claim executive privilege to keep Clark from giving testimony. That alone suggests that Clark may have played a major role and has information that would directly implicate Trump or then-Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, both of whom are believed to have possibly broken federal law with their actions to help Trump remain in office.

Whether or not Clark does testify, he should be investigated fully by the current DOJ under Attorney General Merrick Garland and if he broke any laws, he should be charged and prosecuted for his crimes. The same holds true for Trump, Meadows, and anyone else who tried to carry out a coup that would have given Trump a stolen second term in office.

Biden Masterfully Trolls Republicans By Wearing A (GASP!) Tan Suit To Honor Obama

On Friday morning, President Joe Biden appeared before the news media at the White House to make remarks about the latest job creation numbers (which were spectacular; nearly 1 million jobs created in one month!), and the first thing most people focused on was the suit he was wearing:

It was almost seven years ago to the day that former President Barack Obama wore a tan suit and had Republicans freaking out, The Hill recalls:

“Obama sparked controversy in 2014 when he went viral for wearing a tan suit during a press conference addressing the nation on Russia and ISIS.

“His wardrobe of choice shocked several pundits and media outlets, sparking a polarizing conversation on presidential attire.

“Former Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.) slammed the choice at the time, saying that suit showed a ‘lack of seriousness.’

‘There’s no way I don’t think any of us can excuse what the president did yesterday,’ he said of the tan suit.”

Biden’s choice of a tan suit is not merely a coincidence, especially since President Obama turned 60 on Wednesday. This was clearly meant to be a jab at anyone who didn’t care for Obama’s tan suit. Call it Biden’s way of putting it back in the faces of the clowns who were so offended by Obama wearing one.

It didn’t take long before social media lit up with kudos for President Biden and his sly sense of humor:

Thank you, Mr. President, for giving us all a hearty chuckle. You are indeed Joe Cool and the Master of Shade.

Jen Psaki Has The Perfect Comeback After Ron DeSantis Calls Biden A ‘Power-Hungry Tyrant’

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) wants to be president so damn badly! How badly? Enough so that he’s willing to let thousands of Floridians die of COVID-19 while he pretends that everything is just fine in the Sunshine State. He insists mask mandates won’t be allowed on his watch, no matter how many children and senior citizens wind up on ventilators and die in complete isolation, unable to see their families as they take their last, labored breath.

So it should come as no surprise that DeSantis would snipe at the current resident of the White House, President Joe Biden, simply because Biden made this remark on Wednesday while discussing the rise in COVID cases being seen in the states of Florida and Texas:

“I say to these governors: Please help. But if you aren’t going to help, at least get out of the way. The people are trying to do the right thing. Use your power to save lives.”

Biden is trying to save lives, even in Republican-controlled states, because he’s doing what he promised he’d do when he was running in 2020: Be a president for all Americans.

How did DeSantis react to Biden’s remarks? Like a spoiled child. Like a man who cannot accept constructive criticism. We’ve had a president like that, and his name was Donald Trump. He’s one of the main reasons we’re in the fix we see before us right now as it pertains to the coronavirus.

DeSantis told reporters this while he was visiting Panama City and was asked about what the president had said:

“Why don’t you do your job. Why don’t you get this border secured, and until you do that I don’t want to hear a blip about Covid from you.”

Shortly after DeSantis made that snippy soundbite, he was also using it to try and raise money for his reelection efforts in 2022, sending out a blast email in which he pretended to be a tough guy:

“Joe Biden has the nerve to tell me to get out of the way on COVID while he lets COVID-infected migrants pour over our southern border by the hundreds of thousands. No elected official is doing more to enable the transmission of COVID in America than Joe Biden with his open borders policies.”

The governor wants us to believe the reason COVID is spreading is because of immigrants coming into the United States, though he has never presented a scintilla of evidence to support his allegation. He’s bullshitting. He’s lying. He’s using hatred and fear of “the other” to try and cover up his own heartlessness and incompetence.

Or, to put it another way, Ron DeSantis is pulling a Trump.

But White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki had the perfect response to Gov. DeSantis, telling reporters at Thursday’s daily press briefing:

“25% of hospitalizations in the country are in Florida.

“It is also a fact that the governor has taken steps that are counter to public health recommendations. So, we’re here to state the facts. Frankly, our view is that this is too serious, deadly serious to be doing partisan name calling. That’s what we’re not doing here, we’re focused on providing public health data information to the people of Florida, to make sure they understand what steps they should be taking, even if those are not steps taken at the top of the leadership in that state.”

That’s how you deal with an empty suit, wannabe tough guy like Ron DeSantis. The governor should be ashamed of himself. But to feel shame, you have to possess a conscience. Clearly, DeSantis has no conscience. Just hubris, bluster, and bile.

Matt Gaetz Says The FBI Wants Americans To Engage In ‘Snitching’

As the day draws closer that Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) is indicted and placed on trial for allegedly engaging in the sexual trafficking of an underage girl, the pervy Mr. Gaetz is lashing out at every federal agency that’s actively investigating him and proving just how utterly terrified he is.

Such is the case with an appearance Gaetz made on Newsmax where he spouted all sorts of wild conspiracy theories about the FBI, telling hosts Steve Cortes and Jenn Pellegrino:

“When the FBI is busy trying to make us all believe that our family members and our neighbors are extremists, we missed the opportunity to actually dig into important threats, cybersecurity threats, national security threats that they should be focused on.”

Gaetz was clearly referencing a tweet sent out by the FBI over the weekend:

But to hear Gaetz tell it, the FBI is somehow overstepping their bounds as the nation’s premier law enforcement agency by asking for the public’s help in tracking down domestic terrorists:

“Let’s remember who the [FBI] building is named after, [FBI founder] J. Edgar Hoover, who would use information in a compromising way against politicians and people to be able to maintain his own power. And then you saw the FBI weaponized against elements of the Civil Rights movement in the 1950s and 1960s, and now you see the FBI really becoming the enforcement wing of the Democratic Party in a lot of circumstances.”

Who appointed Hoover as head of the FBI in 1924? Republican President Calvin Coolidge. As for the assertion that the agency has become the “enforcement wing of the Democratic Party,” that’s just Gaetz and his paranoia speaking. He’s still upset that the FBI dared to investigate if failed, one-term former President Donald Trump was in bed with Russia. And he’s also worried about what’s about to come down regarding his own case from a federal court.

As if that’s not enough, Gaetz then tried to compare the United States and FBI to the former Soviet Union:

“Back during the worst days of the Soviet Union, one out of every three of the folks in that country was providing some sort of information to a centralized governing authority. Snitching really is a tool of the repressive security state, and we don’t want that to happen in our country.

“This is an effort to identify people based on their politics, and I don’t think we want an FBI that is resolving familial disputes through the lens of extremism. That seems to really take them away from an otherwise important mission.”

Rest assured, if Donald Trump was still president and the FBI was doing his bidding, Gaetz would have no problem with their tweets or their investigations.

What has Gaetz on the attack against the feds are his own legal problems, which could send him to prison for the rest of his life. Once the indictments start flying with his name on them, don’t be surprised if he bursts into tears, pisses himself, and begs for his mommy.

Here’s Congressman Perv on Newsmax:

MTG Has A Paranoid Twitter Meltdown About Rumors She’s About To Be Banned From Social Media

Proving that her understanding of something as ubiquitous as social media is not fully developed, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is now accusing the New York Times of conspiring with Twitter to have her banned from the platform.

Greene posted a screenshot of an email she received from Davey Alba, a technology reporter for the Times who specializes in online conspiracy theories and inaccurate postings on social media sites such as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

Alba’s email references a tweet of Greene’s from Wednesday in which she claimed (without any proof) that COVID vaccines are causing miscarriages and other health problems among pregnant women. The email reads:

“Twitter is likely to take enforcement action on Ms. Greene’s account for coronavirus information. It would be her fourth strike, meaning she would have one strike to go before potentially being permanently suspended from the platform. Would Ms. Greene want to respond to this in a statement?”

That led to this bizarre and unhinged reaction from the Georgia congresswoman:

“How would the @nytimes know that my @Twitter account is about to be suspended? My account is NOT suspended. What kind of relationship does the NYT and Twitter have? Do they coordinate suspending people like me and news stories? Is someone paying for that? Why?”

That’s a whole lotta stupid for just one person, and it didn’t take long before others on Twitter began pelting Greene with mockery:
