On Thursday, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) will serve as the chairman for a new oversight committee he has dubbed the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government.
But a list of the witnesses Jordan has called proves that the real intent of his committee is to spread debunked conspiracy theories far and wide in an attempt to trash anyone who ever said a bad word about disgraced former president Donald Trump or any agency that ever investigated the failed, one-term ex-president.

Garrett Haake of NBC News reports that three well-known witnesses will be first up before Jordan’s committee: Former Democratic Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI), and Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA). The fourth is former FBI agent Nicole Parker.
Ah yes, good old Tulsi Gabbard, who has long been suspected of being a Russian asset and who has personally met with Russian President/terrorist Vladimir Putin and, according to Forbes, “shared false information about U.S. involvement in Ukraine biological laboratories … giving credence to an unfounded Russian-backed conspiracy theory the U.S. has warned could serve as justification for Russia to use biological and chemical weapons against Ukraine.”
And then there’s another Russian puppet, Ron Johnson, who just last year “expressed openness” to “a fervent anti-vaccination idea that maybe the coronavirus vaccines are a conduit for deliberately giving people AIDS.”
Or perhaps you prefer the 89-year-old Chuck Grassley, a man who is so out of touch that he has made racist comments about the COVID-19 virus and complete lies about the both the IRS and the January 6 insurrection.
It didn’t take long before mockery began about Jordan’s sham committee and pathetic witnesses.
Jim Jordan needs to be asked under oath about his role in the Capitol insurrection. Instead, he’s leading a committee that’s going to feed red meat to Fox, Newsmax, and other right-wing outlets for the next two years. That’s the biggest crime of all.
