Herschel Walker Gets Trolled With ‘Astonishing’ Campaign Ad That Uses Donald Trump’s Praise Against Him

A campaign ad released this week by Georgia Sen. Raphael Warnock (D) against his GOP opponent, Herschel Walker, is generating lots of attention and may wind up being a turning point in the upcoming runoff election scheduled for December 6 in the Peach State.

CNN reports that the ad masterfully uses former president Trump’s praise of Walker against the Republican candidate.

The ad opens on Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential announcement earlier this week – and specifically his support for Warnock’s Republican opponent in the Georgia Senate runoff, Herschel Walker.

“We must all work very hard for a gentleman and a great person named Herschel Walker, a fabulous human being who loves our country and will be a great United States senator,” Trump says.

As Trump continues to speak, six words appear on screen to close the ad: “Stop Donald Trump. Stop Herschel Walker.”

And that’s it. That’s the whole ad.

Simple, to the point, and incredibly effective, CNN’s Chris Wallace noted.

“It is just playing Trump’s endorsement of Walker and clearly, the Warnock campaign feels this is, as you say, an albatross. This is a liability for Walker, not a plus.”

Why is the ad such a problem for Walker’s campaign? Because Trump isn’t exactly the most popular person in the country. Matter of fact, his endorsement in close races has been shown to increase Democratic turnout and suppress the number of Republicans who decide to cast a ballot. So tying Walker to Trump is meant to make it clear the two are joined at the hip, CNN’s Chris Cillizza explains.

Warnock’s decision to nationalize this race around Trump tells you that he believes the former president is a net negative in the state, and will function as an anchor on Walker’s attempt to get a majority of the vote.

Trump may wind up destroying the Republican Party completely. It would be the first positive thing he’s ever done in his life.

Pelosi Throws Epic Shade At Trump As She Discusses The Presidents She’s Worked With

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was discussing her two decades a leader in the Democratic Party on Thursday, noting that she will no longer be a member of the House Democratic leadership.

Pelosi pointed to three different presidents she worked with to pass major legislation:

“I have enjoyed working with three presidents, achieving historic investments in clean energy with President George Bush.

“Transformative healthcare reform with President Barack Obama. And forging the future from infrastructure to healthcare to climate action with President Joe Biden.”

Notice someone Pelosi didn’t mention? She was also Speaker during Donald Trump’s four years in the White House, but she didn’t give him a shoutout, HuffPost reports.

Of course, Pelosi also served as speaker of the House under President Donald Trump, but he bore no mention during her speech.

Trump relentlessly attacked Pelosi in public, often with one of his juvenile nicknames: “Crazy Nancy.”

Just two weeks ago, he told a crowd of supporters at a rally in Iowa, “We’re going to end Crazy Nancy Pelosi’s political career once and for all.” Days earlier, a man had broken into Pelosi’s San Francisco home and attacked her husband with a hammer, sending him to the hospital for surgery on his head. The suspect, David DePape, had reportedly shouted, “Where’s Nancy?”

Pelosi will remain a member of Congress, representing California’s 12th congressional district. She was first elected to that office in 1987.

Former Trump Spiritual Adviser Trashes Donald – Says He Acts ‘Like A Little Elementary Schoolchild’

A longtime spiritual adviser to disgraced, one-term, twice-impeached former president Donald Trump is now trashing him, remarking that the ex-president “like a little elementary schoolchild” and that his preoccupation with childish spats keeps him from being able to focus on any real goals.

The Washington Post reports that James Robison, the president of the Christian group Life Outreach International, made his comments at the National Association of Christian Lawmakers (NACL), a right-wing political group that focuses on social issues.

Several minutes into his speech, Robison brought up Trump, recalling how the then-presidential nominee had courted his endorsement. In Robison’s retelling, Republican Ben Carson had told Trump that Robison would only endorse him if they spoke for an hour. Trump protested, saying he didn’t speak to anyone for more than 15 minutes.

The two ended up speaking for an hour and a half, Robison said.

After that, “the man started calling me on his cellphone, and then he started asking me to call him,” Robison said Wednesday, referring to Trump. He claimed that for five years Trump “took every single call I made,” sometimes two or three a day. Robison said that on those calls he would preach to Trump, who reportedly marveled that Robison never wanted anything in return. Trump, however, didn’t necessarily take Robison’s advice.

“He heard, [but] he didn’t always heed.”

The crowd grew quiet, The Post notes, as Robison began slamming the failed former president.

“‘Sir, you act like a little elementary schoolchild and you shoot yourself in the foot every morning you get up and open your mouth! The more you keep your mouth closed, the more successful you’re gonna be!’”

Robison added that Trump wants to divide people, which needs to end:

“It’s time for us to get together and pray and stop trying to destroy each other, and I make that loud and clearly heard to Mr. Trump! We’ve got to quit amputating each other, slicing each other, and come together in supernatural unity that Jesus Christ prayed for!”

Other evangelical Christians have also been highly critical of Trump in recent months. Mike Evans, a former member of the evangelical advisory board, writing earlier this month:

“Donald Trump can’t save America. He can’t even save himself. He used us to win the White House. We had to close our mouths and eyes when he said things that horrified us. I cannot do that anymore.”

Trump formally announced he is running again in 2024 on Tuesday evening at Mar-a-Lago. It remains to be seen if anyone other than the most rabid MAGA faithful are interested in seeing him in the White House again.

Fox News Brutally Mocks Trump As A ‘Three-Time Loser’ On His Own Social Media Site

Fox News is making it clear that they’re finished with disgraced, one-term, twice-impeached former president Donald Trump, even going so far as to call him a “three-time loser” on his failing Truth Social site.

That’s just the latest escalation from Fox, with The Guardian reporting that Rupert Murdoch has let Trump know he will not support his 2024 presidential campaign, which the ex-president recently announced.

After the Republican party’s disappointing performance in the US midterm elections, in particular the poor showing by candidates backed by Trump, Murdoch’s rightwing media empire appears to be seeking a clean break from the former president’s damaged reputation and perceived waning political power.

Last week, Murdoch’s influential media empire, including right-leaning Fox News, his flagship paper the Wall Street Journal, and the New York Post, each rounded on Trump, calling him a loser and a flop responsible for dragging the Republicans into “one political fiasco after another.”

“We have been clear with Donald. There have been conversations between them during which Rupert made it clear to Donald that we cannot back another run for the White House,” a senior News Corp source told thenewspaper.

Instead, Fox and News Corp are going all-in on Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), who is seen as having a much better chance of winning if and when he decides to run for president.

Lachlan Murdoch, the heir apparent and eldest son, who co-chairs News Corp and runs the parent company of Fox News, has reportedly told DeSantis that the group would back him if he ran in the next election. “Lachlan has been keen on Ron for some time,” said the source. “He’s viewed within the organisation as a sanitised version of Donald.”

DeSantis, who has been called “DeFuture” by the New York Post and “the new Republican party leader” in a Fox News column, has not declared whether he intends to compete to be the party’s 2024 presidential candidate.

It’ll be interesting to see how Trump responds to being tossed overboard by Murdoch and Fox.

Trump’s 2024 Campaign Slogan Is Making People Gag

In November, failed, disgraced, one-term, twice-impeached former president Donald Trump announced that he would be running for president again in 2024.

While the announcement had been expect for quite some time, many were struck by how unenthusiastic and uninspiring Trump’s speech was, with presidential historian Doris Kearns Goodwin noting:

“There was no joy in his voice that night, last night, no sense of his having any fun, no sense of moving the country forward — a failing nation, disrespected by all the other peoples in the world. You can’t win that way. You can’t not have that contagious enthusiasm that you’ve got to project. He used to have it when he was arguing about things first time around, but somehow last night felt like he had a girdle on.”

At one point in the speech, Trump seemed to be amending his well-known “Make America Great Again” campaign slogan with a variation on that theme.

“In order to make America great and glorious again I’m announcing my candidacy for president of the United States.”

So instead of MAGA, we have MAGAGA. Now that’s a mouthful.

It didn’t take long before Twitter began having fun with the new slogan, including Harvard University law professor Laurence Tribe:

“The hats’ll have to say MAGAGA — make America great and glorious again. If it makes you gag, get used to it.”

Here’s some other commentary on the latest Trump tagline:
