White House Press Corps Laughs At Peter Doocy When Jen Psaki Reminds Him He’s Not A Doctor

You’ve probably heard the old expression “We’re not laughing at you, we’re laughing with you” more than once in your life, but in the case of Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy, the laugh was indeed on him when he asked White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki about the ruling by a federal judge striking down the administration’s mask mandate on public transportation.

Here’s Doocy’s inquiry into the ruling:

“Why is it that we can sit here in the White House briefing room with no masks but people can’t sit in an airplane cabin with no masks.”

Psaki replied:

“Well, Peter, I’m not a doctor, you’re not a doctor. That I’m aware of. If you are, I wasn’t aware of that until today.”

The Fox reporter agreed with Psaki:

“Can confirm.”

Psaki:

“Not a doctor. Just making sure. I don’t know.”

Other reporters began giggling, which led Ed O’Keefe of CBS News to interject:

“Nor do you play one on TV.”

But what Psaki said next brought the house down, with almost every reporter bursting into laughter:

“Nor does he play one on TV. There you go. Most days.”

From that, Psaki then laid out a very clear explanation for what the White House’s position has been all along:

“But these determinations — remember, the masking guidance is green, yellow and red. We are currently in a green zone in Washington DC. So they’re not recommending it. Some people can still wear masks if they want to. Many people do. Or wear them in meetings or wear them at certain times where you’re going to be around or sitting close to people. Or maybe you have an immunocompromised parent or friend and so people make that decision. And this is based on health considerations and data that the CDC looks at about transmissibility as we’ve seen an increase in cases on airplanes.”

It should be noted that the judge who issued the Monday ruling against the mask mandate, Kathryn Kimball Mizelle, was appointed by failed, one-term former President Donald Trump and didn’t exactly come highly recommended by her peers, CNN reports:

Her confirmation in the days after the 2020 election was controversial and uniformly opposed by Democrats. A former clerk to Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, Mizelle was 33 at the time of her confirmation. She had been rated “not qualified” by the American Bar Association for “the short time she has actually practiced law and her lack of meaningful trial experience.”

Sounds like Judge Mizelle was even less qualified than the clueless sack of dung who nominated her and nearly destroyed the republic during his four years of dithering.

Jen Psaki Put Texas Governor Greg Abbott On Full Blast Today And It Was Fun To Watch

In a publicity stunt so he can boost his flagging poll numbers as he faces an uncertain bid for reelection, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) recently decided to begin what he dubbed “enhanced” inspections at several key border crossing areas of the state that have greatly slowed down commerce by truck.

According to the El Paso Times, truckers are normally able to get their freight moved from Mexico to Texas in a couple of hours. But then Abbott imposed his enhanced inspections in order to let the public know he’s doing something even though the truth is exactly the opposite:

Truckers said they usually spend two or three hours crossing into El Paso from Juárez. After Gov. Greg Abbott announced new Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) trooper inspections at ports of entry, truckers this week suddenly found themselves in 10-plus hour lines. 

Rather than admit he’d screwed up, Abbott tried to blame the Biden administration, though his logic was badly flawed:

Abbott blamed the Biden administration for “not securing our border” and rescinding Title 42, effective next month. The governor did not explain how DPS inspections, which include safety checks on brakes and lights, relate to immigration policies.

Abbott’s remarks were read back to White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki at Wednesday’s press briefing, and she quickly eviscerated the Texas governor, remarking:

 “Well, I think we are trying to state the facts of what his — another political stunt that we seeing happen and the impact of it. What we’re seeing is right now factually there is over $1 million in trade crossing over the US/Mexico border every minute. These actions are impacting people’s jobs and the livelihoods of hardworking people in Texas and across the country. That’s not a political statement. That is a statement of fact. I would note what we’re seeing with these unnecessary inspections of trucks, transiting ports of entry between Texas and Mexico are significant delays which are resulting in a drop of commercial traffic of up to 60% to 70% in some ports.”

Psaki was far from finished, adding:

“And that is significantly impacting the local and regional supply chains to the point that trade associations, officials are businesses are calling for the Texas governor to reverse this self-inflicted gridlock. I would also note that CBP officers are very good at their jobs and Texas DPS does not need to replace them at the southern border. CPD has conducted a record number of drug seizures….so the economic impact here, something that people of all political stripes are calling for a reversal of is something that is significant and we felt that it should be shouted out.”

Jen Psaki is leaving the administration this spring to join MSNBC. Her clear, factual rebutting of Republican bullshit will be missed.

Greene Says House Republicans Will Impeach Biden And Harris If They Win The Midterm Election

If Republicans win control of the House of Representatives in the upcoming midterm elections, according to Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), their top priority won’t be legislating or doing anything to help the American people. Instead, they intend to try and impeach President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

At a reelection kickoff for alleged sex trafficker Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), Greene made it clear that she and her GOP colleagues will be seeking payback for the two impeachments of failed, one-term former President Donald Trump:

“Here’s what we do after that we too impeach Kamala Harris, because you can’t encourage, and promote, and raise money for criminal rioters, and expect to serve the interest of the people, the great people of the United States. That is a conflict of interest.”

If Republicans win control of the House, they can indeed impeach Biden and Harris, though there’s no way either would be convicted in a Senate trial. Such a move would also alienate millions of voters as the country moves closer to the 2024 presidential election.

Trump has been hinting that he will likely run in 2024, but considering his age, questionable health, and possible indictment, that’s not even a 50-50 proposition.

Greene and her ilk are on the verge of overplaying their hand, and that could wind up making it all the more likely that Democrats win in 2024 and become the permanent party in power for decades.

WATCH Jen Psaki Humiliate Peter Doocy When He Claims Kindergarten Kids Are Being Taught Sex-Ed

Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy was taken to the woodshed today and then shut down with facts by White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki when he asserted that kindergarten students in Florida were receiving sex education.

Doocy made reference to Florida’s controversial “Don’t Say Gay” law that completely prohibits any discussion of sexuality for young students attending schools in the Sunshine State:

“Does the White House support that kind of classroom instruction before kindergarten?”

That led Psaki to respond with a question of her own:

“Do you have examples of schools in Florida that are teaching kindergarteners about sex education?”

Doocy could only whine:

“I’m just asking.”

The press secretary then explained why she had asked for specifics instead of speculation:

“I think that’s a relevant question because I think this is a politically-charged harsh law that is putting parents and LGBTQ+ kids in a very difficult, heartbreaking circumstance. And so, I actually think that’s a pretty relevant question.”

It most certainly is a relevant question, if only because what Doocy asked is utterly irrelevant unless he can prove that the Florida law was needed because kindergarten-age kids were being taught about sex in the first place. They weren’t.

The Florida law serves only one purpose: To create a fake issue that Republicans can try to run on since they have no actual ideas about how to make the state of Florida or the country better.

WATCH Hillary Clinton Fact-Check Chuck Todd When He Tries To Blame Biden For Ukraine

NBC News host Chuck Todd tried to blame President Joe Biden for not doing enough to effectively counter the actions of Russian mass murderer Vladimir Putin, but former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton quickly rebuffed him during an interview on Sunday.

Todd began with this:

“I want to pick up on — I know you were listening to the interview with Masha Gessen. I want to pick up on Masha’s last point there, which seemed to imply that no matter when we’ve confronted Putin, and I could go back really all the way to when he came into power, we’ve — it seems as if we’ve always come up a bit short. We’ve drawn a line not quite as far as others would like to draw, you — whether it was — you’ve made points of this about Syria. Perhaps we should have drawn a thicker line on what happened in Crimea. Why is that, and are you concerned we’re – we’re maybe holding back now a little too much?”

Clinton immediately countered the host:

“Well, no. Now I think we are really looking at this with our eyes wide open and seeing very clearly the threat that he poses not just to Ukraine, as we can watch every night on our news, but really to Europe, to democracy and the global stability that we thought we were building in the last 20 years. So, Chuck, I really agree with both what Secretary Blinken said, that we’ve got to continue to keep the pressure on Putin and the Russian troops. We cannot, in any way, pause our efforts to support the Ukrainians. And I agree with Masha that we have to double down. There is more that can be done to increase pressure and stress, additional sanctions, more in the way of lethal aid. And now that there has been a pushback thanks to the brave Ukrainian military offensive action, there is time to resupply the Ukrainians so that they can continue to defend their country.”

Todd then tried to misrepresent comments made by Secretary of State Antony Blinken:

“You heard Secretary Blinken essentially say, look, sanctions relief could happen. That all depends on the behavior of Russia. Can we really live in a world where Putin’s let back into the new world order?”

Once more, Clinton used facts to counter the absurd nature of what Todd had just said:

“Well, that’s not what I heard him say. What I heard him say was that, really, we are going to support the Ukrainians, the people and the government of Ukraine, as they try to figure out what for them is the best way forward, and that I think is exactly the right position for the United States, Europe and the West and other countries to take.”

Hillary Clinton is an expert on international relations and doesn’t take any shit from Vladimir Putin, which is one reason Putin worked so hard to make sure Trump won the 2016 election. It’s fun to watch her destroy Chuck Todd’s bogus talking points and make him look like a fool.
