Capitol Insurrection Congress GOP WTF?!

Marjorie Taylor Greene: The Declaration Of Independence Justifies The Capitol Insurrection

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is proving her complete ignorance of American history yet again by claiming that the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol was completely justified because the Declaration of Independence mentions the right to “overthrow tyrants.

Appearing on the “War Room” podcast hosted by former Trump administration official Steve Bannon, Greene proudly let the world know that her brain is perpetually stuck in idle, remarking:

“If you think about what our Declaration of Independence says, it says to overthrow tyrants. There is a clear difference between Jan. 6 and the Marxist, Communist revolution, the Antifa, BLM, Democrat ground troops waged on the American people in 2020.”

Democrat ground troops? A Communist revolution? When and where did that happen? Apparently, Greene thinks that legal protests over police brutality are the first stage of revolution, and yet if she had any understanding of the document she references, she’d know the right to protest was one the reasons the Founding Fathers chose to break from Great Britain and form their own country without having to pledge obedience to a king.

Greene also told Bannon that what she called the “lies of Blue Anon” and “Democrat media” could “cause someone like me to be killed, or someone like you, Steve, to be killed.”

“They’re the real problem in this country.”

Actually, Marj, lies and bullshit conspiracy theories are the biggest problem in the country. They’re weapons of disinformation that infect the brains of the gullible and lead directly to the sort of violence we saw on Jan. 6.

Greene sounds more rattled and desperate than usual, and that may have a lot to do with a report from Rolling Stone citing two organizers of the Capitol riots who said they had dozens of meetings with members of Congress (including Greene) in the weeks before the Jan. 6 attack.

Bannon is also suspected of having played a major role in the violence at the Capitol and had been indicted by the Justice Department for contempt of Congress after he ignored a subpoena for information and testimony from the the House Select Committee investigating the events of Jan. 6.

DeSantis Allegedly Attended Party With Underage Girls And Alcohol While Teaching At High School

Shortly after he graduated from college and prior to attending law school, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis took a job as a history teacher at the Darlington School in Rome, Georgia. His hiring was announced in a 2001 newsletter published by the school:

Ron DeSantis is joining the Upper School history department. DeSantis earned bachelor’s degrees in history and political science from Yale University, New Haven, Conn. While at Yale, he worked for the political science department, the athletic department, and the university sports camp. He has work experience with the Sonic Corporation and the office of Senator Connie Mack.

But it turns out that DeSantis was more than just a teacher while at Darlington, according to Hill Reporter:

His students would have been high school co-eds, teenagers, some of whom would have been living on-campus. According to our whistleblower, he had a reputation among students for being a young “hot teacher” who girls loved, and the girls in the photo are believed to have graduated in 2002, making them seniors at the time.

The photo shows a person purported to be DeSantis, in a group embrace with several young girls, one of whom is holding what appears to be a glass beer bottle. The source who provided the photo says that it was taken prior to graduation — meaning the young girls would still have been DeSantis’ responsibility at the time. It is not clear whether any of them were legal adults, though they would have been too young to purchase alcohol.

Of course, DeSantis isn’t the only Florida politician who seems to have an affinity for young girls. Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) is current the subject of a wide-ranging federal investigation that reportedly involves the congressman taking underage girls across state lines and paying them, which is sexual trafficking of a minor. And that investigation could also wind up ensnaring the governor, who is up for reelection next year:

Still, the investigation may be moving uncomfortably close to the governor’s office. Besides Gaetz himself, the influential Florida political figures under federal scrutiny include Jason Pirozzolo, a hand surgeon and DeSantis campaign donor, and DeSantis’ political appointee Halsey Beshears, the state’s former top business regulator.

DeSantis has yet to respond to the photo or other revelations from Hill Reporter.

Ted Cruz Attacked Biden For Going On ‘Vacation’ – That Was A Cancun-Sized Mistake

Ted Cruz may well be the least self-aware person in all of Washington, and as a result he continually tries to attack others on social media but only winds up owning himself in absolutely humiliating fashion.

This time, Cruz saw a tweet online from the GOP that chided President Joe Biden for going on “vacation,” which is not exactly the proper word for the president going back to his home state of Delaware for the long Columbus Day weekend.

What the GOP didn’t mention are the endless golfing vacations failed former President Donald Trump took and charged taxpayers for. Trump played more golf in four years than Arnold Palmer did in his entire life.

Trying desperately to attach his name to the GOP tweet, Cruz thought he’d attempt a jab at President Biden while also sliding in a bit of self-deprecating ribbing for himself.

You probably recall that back in February, as the state of Texas was suffering under a terrible winter storm, Cruz and his family boarded a flight for the Mexican resort. Cruz later blamed the entire thing on his children.

But he can’t blame anyone but himself for the online payback he got for his posting:

Next time you’re tempted to tweet, Ted, stick your head up your ass instead. Oh, never mind; I see it’s permanently implanted there.

Trump Slams Mitch McConnell As A ‘Stupid F**ker’

It’s starting to dawn on failed, one-term former President Donald Trump that he’s going down in history as one of the worst chief executives in U.S. history, so he’s lashing out at everyone in the Republican Party as if he believes he can incinerate the GOP and walk away from the ashes like some sort of overweight, dimwitted phoenix.

During five hours of interviews he gave to Mollie Hemingway of the right-wing Federalist Society, Trump blamed the fact that he lost the 2020 election on everyone but the responsible party: Himself.

Instead, the loser ex-president placed the onus on Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), branding him a “stupid fucker” and “a disgrace to the Republican Party.”

“He’s gutless. He should have fought for us on the rigged election. Can you imagine Schumer saying ‘We have to declare Trump the winner to get the country going’?”

And yet, that’s precisely what Schumer said when Trump was elected in 2016:

Trump also told Hemingway that “The problem with the Republicans is they don’t know how to fight.”

Asked about Sen. Ben Sasse (R-NE), who has been critical of the former president, Trump labeled Sasse “a terrible senator” who is “stupid” and a “loser.”

And then there was what Trump said about House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), who reportedly lived with pollster Frank Luntz at one time:

“Uh, that Luntz thing is weird, right? What’s that all about? I don’t think it’s a romance. I think it’s just, they know each other or something. I can’t imagine. I don’t think — I mean, if you’re thinking it — but it is weird.

“You know, we’re past the age of roommates. You don’t do that.”

Know what else you don’t do? You don’t sit and gossip to a right-wing hack writer about members of your own political party. And if you do, then it’s clear you’re intent on burning down the whole thing for your own self-aggrandizement.

There’s lots of speculation over whether or not Trump will run again in 2024. If he does, there will plenty of knives out for him, and he shouldn’t be surprised when the very people he’s trashing now show up to return the favor.

Ted Cruz’s Latest Disgusting ‘Joke’ Is Getting Him Pilloried On Social Media

Even though he has absolutely no sense of humor and is universally disliked by in the U.S. Senate, even by his Republican colleagues, Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas is fond of attempting to troll people on Twitter, even though his trolling almost always comes back to bite him squarely on his fat ass.

Cruz’s latest failed attempt at humor deals with a NASCAR race that took place over the weekend.

According to Deadline:

NBC NASCAR reporter Kelli Stavast is either hard of hearing, or a very, very quick thinker.

While interviewing driver Brandon Brown on Saturday at Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama after he won his first NASCAR Xfinity Series race, Stavast had to deal with an unruly crowd. The racing fans, sensing the live cameras, broke into what’s fast becoming a popular chant at college football games in the south and midwest. The populist commentary involves President Joe Biden.

Stavast bravely soldiered on despite the obvious disruption. As an emotional Brown struggled to be heard above the crowd’s din, she interjected. “As you can hear the chants from the crowd, ‘Let’s go, Brandon.’”

Fans and Americans in general can offer any commentary they want regarding whoever happens to be president. They can even be profane when they do so. It’s one of the beautiful things about living in a country where we have freedom of speech and the right to say pretty much anything we want about our elected representatives.

And so Sen. Cruz thought he’d try to get in on the fun, but the way he did so ended up sounding churlish, mean-spirited, and undignified:

Funny? Not really. But humor is subjective, so maybe the MAGA faithful had a good hearty laugh at the senator’s cheap shot.

But should a sitting U.S. senator be making such a joke? Would Cruz like it if people chanted, “Fuck Ted Cruz!” everywhere he went? After all, this is the same Ted Cruz who booked a flight for Cancun rather than stay in Texas while his constituents were freezing in their homes and going without water for weeks when a massive ice storm hit last winter.

Cruz got the reaction he deserved:

https://twitter.com/KariLynn65/status/1445193097990885381?s=20

https://twitter.com/Easi1yAmused/status/1445505152283144212?s=20

If there’s any justice in the universe, the next time Ted Cruz books a flight to Cancun, the plane will wind up in Syria.
