Fox Reporter Announces She’s Turning Over Recordings That Will ‘Crush The Murdochs’

It all started, oddly enough, with a reporter for Fox 26, a Houston affiliate station, being introduced so she could report on the upcoming Texas heat wave and possible power outages that could potentially endanger the lives of thousands of Texans.

But by the time reporter Ivory Hecker had finished what she had to say (and it had nothing to do with the weather), Twitter had exploded with comments and hashtags that all had right-wing Fox News heading for some very choppy waters in the days ahead.

According to Hecker, she has damaging recordings of Fox News officials and is about to make them public, Newsweek reports, and she broadcast her intentions on live TV, telling viewers:

“I want to let you, the viewers, know that Fox Corp has been muzzling me to keep certain information from you, the viewers.

“From what I’m gathering I am not the only reporter being subjected to this. I am going to be releasing some recordings about what goes on behind the scenes at Fox because it applies to you, the viewers.

“I found a non-profit journalism group called Project Veritas who’s going to help put that out tomorrow. So, tune into them.”

You’ve probably heard of Project Veritas, and what you’ve heard should indeed make you skeptical of any “news” they disseminate. They’re the clowns who tried to entrap doctors into discussing the sale of “body parts” taken from aborted fetuses, as Think Progress noted in 2017:

“The videos themselves were strongly influenced by conservative activist James O’Keefe, the founder of Project Veritas. That organization has been linked to recent efforts to market a false sexual assault allegation targeting Republican U.S. Senate candidate Roy Moore, seemingly in an effort to discredit the numerous allegations made by other women. The videos made by CMP have had a long-lasting impact themselves, inspiring a wave of legislative efforts around the country, in addition to a deadly attack on a Planned Parenthood in Colorado.”

Hecker’s remarks and the pending release of tapes from her set tongues wagging among right-wingers and conspiracy theorists on social media:

So this local reporter and Project Veritas are going to “crush the Murdochs”? As much as many of us would love to see Fox News deposited into the nearest trash receptacle, it seems unlikely that this will be what brings about their demise.

Maxine Waters Slams Fox News For Telling A Blatant Lie About Her

Much like the failed, one-term loser POTUS they fervently supported and lauded over the course of four years, Fox News is also fond of attacking strong black women or any woman who dares to speak her mind, especially if that woman holds a position of political power.

Two days ago, Fox proved just how much they despise Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) by publishing a story alleging that she had demanded protection from federal air marshals on a flight she took from Washington, D.C. to Minneapolis to attend the trial of Derek Chauvin, who was later convicted in the death of George Floyd.

Sonya Hightower LoBasco, executive director of the Air Marshal National Council, told Fox that Waters “was already accompanied by two armed Capitol Police and two U.S. Secret Service agents when she allegedly requested two air marshals and two more marshals on touchdown to escort her in the airport.”

However, officials with the U.S. Secret Service and Capitol Police denied that allegation, leading Waters to aim her fire at the right-wing network, telling the Grio:

“Fox News is an organization that charades as a news outlet while manufacturing lies, claiming them as truths, and using their platform that reaches millions of Americans as a vessel to spread misinformation. It is no surprise that the targets of Fox’s misinformation campaigns include women of color like me, other people of color, and anyone who dares to speak the truth.”

Waters added that she’s considering filing a lawsuit against Fox, and she slam dunked them perfectly with this tweet:

The report from Fox News has also led to death threats against Waters, she revealed, Yahoo News notes:

“The caller who claimed to be from Louisiana referred to her as the n-word and said she deserved to be ‘hung by a rope for treason.’

“‘I pray for your death every day just like you prayed for the fucking conviction of an officer who is not guilty,’ the caller said. ‘So, go fuck yourself and go shove your face into some dough, in the kitchen, and make some gorilla cookies, bitch… Fuck you Maxine Waters…'”

Despite the threats, Waters says she won’t be silenced:

“My life is constantly threatened by racists, haters, and ill-informed people under the influence of the likes of Fox News. If in fact I lose my life because of these scurrilous attacks in the fight against injustice and racism, my life will not have been lost in vain.”

Fox News is a cancer on this country. Their lies are partially responsible for the insurrection we saw at the U.S. Capitol earlier this year. Here’s hoping Maxine Waters does indeed file suit against them.
