Jim Jordan Gets Reminded Of His Sketchy Past After He Asks God To ‘Bless’ Whistleblowers

Clearly lacking in the area of self-awareness, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) thought it’d be a great idea to tweet out a blessing on whistleblowers after his Thursday hearing featuring two such witnesses from the FBI blew up in his face and made him and House Republicans look like complete fools.

The two men who testified on Thursday — Marcus Allen and Steve Friend — aren’t actually whistleblowers, many Democrats rightly noted. Instead, they directly interfered with or refused to take part into FBI investigations of the January 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol, as CNN reports.

The FBI officially revoked Allen’s security clearance on May 3 and listed a variety of reasons for doing so, including a September 29, 2021, email in which Allen called on FBI officials to exercise “extreme caution and discretion in pursuit of any investigative inquiries or leads pertaining to the events of” January 6, according to a copy of the letter.

[…]

Friend, a former FBI agent working out of Florida, had his security clearance suspended in September 2022 for objecting to using a SWAT team to arrest a subject whom the FBI said was at the Capitol illegally on January 6. Friend, in a previous interview with CNN, said the force was unnecessary against an individual who had committed a misdemeanor offense.

Whistleblowers? Hardly. They’re just disgruntled clowns who got their feelings hurt when they were reprimanded for not doing their jobs. And they’re also getting paid by a former adviser to failed former president Donald Trump.

Yet despite all of those facts, Jordan tweeted out this:

That led to many Twitter users reminding Jordan about his own sketchy past while an assistant wrestling coach at Ohio State University. Several wrestlers on that team say they told Jordan they were being sexually abused by a team doctor, yet Jordan never brought the allegations to the proper authorities at the university.

WATCH: Jim Jordan’s ‘Weaponization’ Witness Gets Humiliated When Asked About His Revoked Security Clearance

This hasn’t been a very good day for Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), chairman of the House Judiciary Committee.

Jordan’s committee held a hearing this morning regarding the so-called “weaponization” of the Justice Department against failed and indicted former president Donald Trump, and his first “whistleblower” was quickly discredited with a line of questioning about why he lost his security clearance when he worked for the FBI.

The witness/whistleblower, Steve Friend, who served as an agent in the Miami FBI office was asked by Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL), “You … claim that your top secret security clearance was improperly revoked. Yet an independent investigation concluded that you demonstrated a number of security concerns, which included that you refused to execute a court-ordered arrest warrant, and when you downloaded documents from intelligence systems to an unauthorized removable flash drive.”

Friend said nothing, so Wasserman Schultz continued:

“The cherry on top could be your unauthorized recording of executive management, which, as I’m sure you know, violates Florida law, along with your unsanctioned interviews with Sputnik News, established by the Russian government in 2014 and fully owned by the Kremlin and Putin’s cronies.”

The congresswoman concluded her remarks by noting, “I think it’s clear who is weaponizing government.”

Jordan’s other witness, FBI agent Marcus Allen, also lost his security clearance because he refused to share information with fellow agents regarding January 6 suspects who were under investigation.

It’d be tempting to call Jordan’s bogus hearings a dog and pony show, but that would be an insult to dogs, ponies, and shows.

Matt Gaetz Tries To Give Marjorie Taylor Greene A Nickname And It Backfires Badly

Georgia Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has been extremely busy lately. She hasn’t been doing anything productive, mind you, but she has filed or promised to file articles of impeachment against Attorney General Merrick Garland, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, FBI Director Chris Wray, and Matthew Graves, the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia.

Graves was testifying before a congressional committee when Greene announced she would seek to have him removed from office, which won’t happen because there aren’t enough votes in the House to impeach any of the people she’s targeted.

Despite, that Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) praised Greene on Twitter, giving her a new nickname.

MAGA Queen? Is that supposed to be a compliment? If so, plenty of Twitter users were quick to remind Gaetz that there were more applicable nicknames for the Georgia Republican and her moronic antics.

Social Media Is Having Fun Predicting Who Will Be Lauren Boebert’s Next Husband

On Tuesday, Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) announced that she was divorcing her husband, Jayson, after 18 years of marriage.

Boebert broke the news via a statement:

“It is with a heavy weight on my heart that I have filed for divorce from my husband,” the statement said. “I am grateful for our years of marriage together and for our beautiful children, all of whom deserve privacy and love as we work through this process. I’ve always been faithful in my marriage, and I believe strongly in marriage, which makes this announcement that much more difficult. This is truly about irreconcilable differences.”

According to The Daily Beast, Mr. Boebert didn’t take being told his wife was kicking him to the curb very well.

“Once he learned that he was being served with Dissolution of Marriage papers he was extremely angry,” the process server wrote. “I tried to hand him the documents but [he] did not take them. He started yelling and using profanities, and told me that I was trespassing, and that he was calling the Sheriff’s Office. I told him I was leaving the documents on the chair outside of the door, he closed the door then let the dogs out.”

Speculation has now begun as to whom we might see Lauren walking down the aisle with next. After all, she’s a “Christian,” so she’d have to wed if things get serious with another man.

Twitter had some thoughts on who might be Bobo’s next hubby.

Feel free to add your own choices to the ever-expanding list of possible suitors for the dimmest bulb in Colorado.

WATCH A Freshman Democrat Expose The GOP’s Hypocrisy On The Issue Of Crime

Freshman Democratic Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett of Texas trolled Republicans on the House Oversight and Accountability Committee to their faces Tuesday during a hearing on the issue of crime in Washington, D.C., and video of her comments has gone viral on social media.

After election denier Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) had finished a rant about the rising number of crimes in the District, Crockett got her turn to speak, and she immediately went after two of the biggest crooks in the GOP: Failed former president Donald Trump and Rep. George Santos (R-NY).

“I’m so excited that my colleagues across the aisle care about sexual abuse considering that the front-runner right now for the presidency has just been found liable of sexual abuse.”

Crockett added, “So, I’m excited because this may mean that, finally, some folk will back off from supporting him because we don’t support sexual abusers in this chamber. So, I’m happy about this.”

Then came Santos’ turn.

“My Republican colleagues want to talk about keeping the streets of D.C. crime-free” but they “can’t even keep the halls of Congress crime-free.”

Crockett was just warming up, making it clear who she was referring to.

“My freshman colleague has just been indicted on 13 felony counts. But have they exhibited any courage to say, ‘You know what, we will not allow this in our body. We will disallow this in our body. We will make sure that we expel this individual?’”

“They have not. So, what I don’t want to hear is that they care about crime because if they did they would start by cleaning up our own house and mind our own business instead of coming after D.C.”

Republicans holding hearings on crime is almost as hypocritical as GOPers trying to lecture the country on family values.
