Republicans Furious With James Comer For His Biden Impeachment Inquiry: ‘A Jumbled Mess’

House Republicans thought they had the perfect way to counter the seemingly endless legal problems confronting former president Donald Trump: Open an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden and pursue removal from office as the 2024 election draws closer by the day.

Now, however, two months after the inquiry began, many in the GOP are calling the investigation “a jumbled mess” and blaming House Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-KY), who is leading the effort, according to CNN.

“The prospect of their inquiry not culminating in impeachment has prompted some internal frustration among Republicans, with finger-pointing already underway in GOP circles about what went wrong — and who is to blame — even as the Republican-led committees continue to push on with their probe.”

“Some of the ire has been directed at House Oversight Chairman James Comer, who has spearheaded the investigation into Biden family business records.”

The House Republican caucus currently has a narrow margin of two votes, which means they would need unanimity from their members if and when a vote for impeachment goes to the floor.

Some in the GOP, however, are already suggesting they won’t vote to impeach Biden given the scant “evidence” that’s been assembled by Comer and House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH).

Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA), a member of the right-wing Freedom Caucus who was also involved in efforts to overturn the 2020 election, noted, “I don’t know that the case has been made adequately to the American people” to impeach Biden. And a GOP insider echoed those remarks, commenting, “You’d be hard-pressed to say it’s going well. It’s a jumbled mess.”

The crux of the so-called case against President Biden is that he allegedly accepted bribes from foreign countries that did business with his son, Hunter Biden. But there hasn’t been a shred of credible evidence presented to prove such an allegation.

All of this begs the question as to whether or not the real goal of Republicans is to keep issuing subpoenas in the hope the White House will accidentally fail to release every document requested which would then serve as the pretext for charging the president with obstruction of justice regarding a crimes that have yet to be proven.

In other words, it’s just election-year politics, but the waste of time and taxpayer money could wind up backfiring badly on the GOP and costing them control of both houses of Congress while also reelecting Biden for a second term.

Lara Trump Social Media Viral Video WTF?!

Lara Trump’s Mar-a-Lago ‘Concert’ Is So Bad That Social Media Can’t Stop Laughing

Lara Trump, the daughter-in-law of failed one-term former president Donald Trump, performed a cover version of the late Tom Petty’s 1989 song, “I Won’t Back Down” recently at Mar-a-Lago.

A video of the performance was posted on Twitter/X by Ron Filipkowski.

The video has gone viral.

But while the crowd at Mar-a-Lago may look like they’re enjoying Lara’s vocal stylings, that enthusiasm wasn’t shared by many who viewed the performance online.

Fellow Republican DESTROYS Lauren Boebert With Devastating Litany Of Her Hypocrisy

A Republican in GOP Rep. Lauren Boebert’s home state of Colorado has taken off the gloves and is denouncing her for her blatant hypocrisy in brutal letter he sent to a local newspaper.

Former state Senator Don Coram, who unsuccessfully tried to unseat Lauren Boebert in the 3rd Congressional District in 2022, slammed the controversial congresswoman for abandoning the 3rd for the 4th in a desperate attempt to remain in office by running in a more Republican section of the state.

“When the smoke finally cleared recently, and it was evident she might not win the 3rd CD Primary election and most certainly would lose in the General election, she bolted to the 4th CD, abandoning the people of the 3rd CD to save herself,” Coram wrote in his letter to the Sterling Journal-Advocate.

“What happened to fighting for the people and what you believe in? Boebert’s record shows that she believes, ‘rules are for thee, but not for me.’ Did she truly not anticipate that her numerous embarrassing antics, spanning nearly two decades, coupled with a lackluster record of accomplishments, would go unnoticed?”

Coram also noted that while Boebert is desperately trying to rebrand herself so she can cater to voters in a new district, he efforts are little more than superficial tweaks.

“Her new strategy appears to involve a rebranding effort — showcasing her store-bought ‘enhancements,’ ditching the glasses, and donning a black cowboy hat — a formula she believes will make her the darling of the 4th CD.”

But the truth is very different than the image Boebert is trying to project, Coram explains. In fact, he alleges, the congresswoman just wants to keep her cushy job

“…This move to the 4th displays prominently that Lauren’s only interest and priority is protecting her celebrity status and keeping the only good-paying job she has had in her life. Kind of ironic for somebody who rails against ‘career politicians.'”

If there’s any justice at all in this world, Boebert (who came in fifth in a recent straw poll) will lose badly come November and have to skulk back home and try to make a living working at a fast food restaurant.

Jon Voight’s Video Comparing Trump To Jesus Leaves Social Media Users Scratching Their Heads

Actor Jon Voight is an avid supporter of failed one-term, twice-impeached former president Donald Trump, but a video he made in which he compares Trump to Jesus is leading to lots of discussion on social media.

According to HuffPost, Trump shared Voight’s video on his failing Truth Social site.

Voight, a longtime follower of the four-times-indicted Trump, claimed the Republican 2024 front-runner “has been targeted for his information that can knock down the corrupt swamp” and is “the only man that can destroy the negative propaganda that has been sworn into this office.”

The video also has Voight intoning, “Can he be saved with the American people who believe in God’s glory? Can we save our nation from the dark cloud that has been put upon our life’s dreams? Yes. Because Joshua promised the land of hospitality and his sword of righteousness. Fought the battles left and right. The battles of right and wrong.”

At the end of the video, Voight remarks, “Believe. That the man that can help this nation, the one man that was ridiculed, destroyed as Jesus, Trump, can come back and save the American dream for all. And make America great with the dignity, with the power of who she is.”

The video was a bridge too far for many on Twitter/X, who shared their thoughts on Voight and his comparison of the Donald to Jesus.

MT Greene’s Fumbling Of The Word ‘Indictable’ Sets Off A Torrent Of Internet Mockery

Georgia Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene managed to humiliate herself yet again Thursday during a House Homeland Security Committee hearing to determine if DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas should be impeached.

HuffPost notes that Greene was speaking when she suddenly proved that while she may well have a college degree, she’s not exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer.

“This historical evidence is overwhelming that the Founding Fathers intended impeachment to be used to deal with the commission of ‘in-dick-table’ crimes and the abuse of power,” she said.

Hmm…indicktable, Margie? Sounds like you either failed high school English or your mind is permanently stuck in the proverbial gutter. My money’s on both being true.

Online mockery for Greene’s verbal flub focused partially on her insistence that nude photos of Hunter Biden’s junk be displayed in a House committee hearing last summer.
