Strapped For Cash? Melania Is Suddenly Selling All Sorts Of Things

Something very strange is going on with former First Lady Melania Trump, and it’s setting off speculation that she’s trying to cash in on what little celebrity cache she still has left before her name fades into complete irrelevance.

A couple of weeks ago, Melania announced she was offering up a non-fungible token (NFT) piece of artwork featuring her eyes, as USA Today reported:

Former first lady Melania Trump announced on Thursday that she will begin selling NFTs, or nonfungible tokens, becoming the latest personality to embrace the hot digital collectible trend. 

“I am proud to announce my new NFT endeavor, which embodies my passion for the arts, and will support my ongoing commitment to children through my Be Best initiative,” she said in a Thursday statement shared on social media.  

Trump  confirmed in the statement that she is starting a platform that will “release NFTs in regular intervals.” 

An NFT is a piece of data verifying that you have ownership of a digital item, such as a piece of artwork. The items can also include a video clip, a tweet and more.  

And now we learn that the ex-president’s wife is auctioning off a white hat she wore when French President Emmanuel Macron visited the United States in 2018:

In a statement from her office, Trump said that, in addition to the hat, the auction lot will include a watercolor by Marc-Antoine Coulon — a French artist who drew her eyes for her NFT last month — as well as what the statement defines as “an exclusive digital artwork NFT with motion.” The NFT, the second Trump has sold in less than a month, features the drawing of the hat with some animation.

The centerpiece of the auction, the custom white hat, which Trump has signed, was created for Trump by her personal stylist, Hervé Pierre, to match the $2,105 white crepe Michael Kors Collection suit Trump wore for the daytime ceremonies at the White House attended by Emmanuel Macron and Brigitte Macron.

MT Greene Gets Slapped Down For Posting Blatant Lie That Anti-Vaxxers Are Being Denied Medical Treatment

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) went on fact-free, extended Twitter rant (19 tweets!) on Saturday, spewing conspiracy theories, vitriol, and plenty of whining as she compared what she called “Before COVID” and “After COVID,” even going to far as to suggest (incorrectly) that some people who aren’t vaccinated are being denied medical treatment.

Greene asserted in her tweetstorm that the only reason the government is urging Americans to get vaccinated is to enrich pharmaceutical companies, which is more than a bit hypocritical when you consider that she owns stock in companies that are producing the vaccine:

Greene holds stock in AstraZeneca, Pfizer, and Johnson & Johnson, each worth between $1,000 and $15,000, according to an August 13, 2020, filing from Greene with the clerk of the House of Representatives.

Is any of what Greene alleges true? Of course not! The woman hasn’t said anything accurate or factual since she announced she was running for Congress. And she’s only accelerated her bullshit since getting elected.

GOP Twitter Account Demands Joe Biden Explain Why He Keeps Traveling To Delaware

Republicans never once complained when failed, one-term, twice-impeached former President Donald Trump used to travel to Mar-a-Lago nearly every weekend to play golf and schmooze with members of the resort who had paid hundreds of thousands of dollars for that privilege.

Now, however, with Joe Biden in the White House, the GOP is furious that the current head of state is spending the Christmas and New Year holidays in Delaware, which just so happens to be his home state.

The Republican Party’s official Twitter account fired off this angry missive:

Time for a much-needed comparison.

Since he took office nearly a year ago, President Biden has traveled to Delaware 31 times. During his first year in the White House, Trump’s travel costs were over $13 million, CNBC reported back in 2018:

The president’s non-official travel to rallies and vacations have cost $3.2 million alone since June of 2017.

All told, the president has amassed $13,533,937.28 in total first-year travel costs, the organization found. The government shutdown prevented Trump from making his latest sojourn to Mar-a-Lago, where he was scheduled to headline a fundraiser.

One of Trump’s trips to his Bedminster Golf Club in New Jersey cost $15,994 per hour!

According to USA Today, Trump visited his properties 38 times in his first year. He also averaged over a 100 visits to his properties per year, according to Citizens for Ethics.

Greene: Anyone Who Moves From A Blue State To A Red One Shouldn’t Be Allowed To Vote

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is now saying the quiet part out loud when it comes to voter suppression.

No longer content to try and deny the right to vote to people of color or those who live in economically-depressed areas of the country, Greene is calling for red states to deny the right to vote to anyone who moves from a blue state.

 

Newsweek reports on Greene’s absurd proposal:

If red states and blue states were to “divorce” each other, Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene called it possible that people who move from a Democratic state to a Republican state would be barred from voting for a temporary “cooling off” period.

California’s seen an influx in people moving out of the state and many have opted to go to Texas and Florida, where residents can get more bang for their buck. However, some, including Greene, have complained that those who are leaving California are bringing their political beliefs with them and potentially shifting the political landscape.

On Wednesday, the Georgia congresswoman posted on Twitter that “brainwashed people” who move from California and New York need a “cooling-off period.” Her comment was in response to a Twitter user who wrote he supports discriminating against Democratic transplants, including restricting their ability to vote for a period of time. He also wrote that they should have to “pay a tax for their sins.”

Greene’s suggestion was immediately slammed as the words of a traitor by Rep. Reuben Gallego:

Alleged Capitol Riot Conspirator Jim Jordan Claims His Job Is To ‘Tell The Truth’

Even though he’s refusing to voluntarily testify to the House Select Committee on the January 6th Capitol insurrection, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) wants us to believe that he’s the only person telling the truth to the American people about what transpired on that fateful day that left five people — including a police officer — dead.

Appearing on the Fox News show “Sunday Morning Futures,” Jordan made it sound as if he’s the only believable person in the 1/6 debate even though we know he communicated with the White House on multiple occasions during the Jan. 6 riots, telling host (and fellow Trump lackey) Larry Kudlow:

“It doesn’t surprise me that they want it one way and then try to fool the American people. They have been doing that for such a long time. But remember Joe Biden said he was going to unite the country and he has done anything but that. And it is our job to tell the truth and take the truth to the American people. The good job is that the American people are figuring it out.”

Truth? That’s pretty rich coming from a man who has yet to tell what he knew and when he knew it about the sexual assault of male wrestlers on the Ohio State wrestling team while he was serving as an assistant coach.

And now Jordan is digging in his heels and will probably have to be subpoenaed to testify before the Jan. 6 committee. If he wants to make sure the “truth” comes out, shouldn’t he be glad to cooperate fully with the panel and tell what he knows? Only a guilty man tries to avoid telling what he knows.

When all is said and done with the House Select Committee, don’t be surprised if Jim Jordan is named as one of the main culprits. He’s been lying and evading his entire life. He doesn’t even know the meaning of the word “truth.”
