VIRAL VIDEO: Enraged Republican Calls Ted Cruz A ‘Coward’ At Texas GOP Convention

The Texas GOP convention was held over the weekend, and judging by some of the speeches and overall tone of those who delivered them, it’s accurate to say that the Lone Star State is getting more right-wing by the minute, with attendees loudly booing anyone who disagreed with them on any issue.

One Republican who got an earful was Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, who always seems to be at the center of one controversy or the other, if only because he simply doesn’t know when to keep his trap shut.

But it was what happened to Cruz after he had already spoken to the convention that’s making news.

According to Newsweek, an enraged man called Cruz a coward and a globalist before he was finally escorted away from the senator:

“Remember how Trump made fun of your wife and you went and became best friends with Trump, why do you do that?” the man said as he approached Cruz who was sitting at a table in the convention hall.

“You go and become best friends with Trump after he makes fun of you and your wife, why do you do that?”

The man continued his angry rant:

“It is because you are a coward, I do love America, you don’t.

“You care more about the border between Ukraine and Russia than you do about the border between Texas and Mexico, why is that?”

Even as the man was being ushered away, he continued to verbally excoriate Cruz:

“You are a globalist, you know it Ted, you are a globalist. You know that, bud, that is why you are a coward and a liar.

“You know that and I know that, that’s why you are afraid to stand up. When people were freezing and dying you were in Mexico, do you remember that?

“Remember when you had the all-inclusive buffet while people were freezing. Do you remember that Ted? When everyone was freezing and people were dying.”

The video has been viewed online almost 500,000 times since it was posted on Sunday.

Viral Video Shows Man Yelling At Ted Cruz In Restaurant: ’19 Children Died! That’s On Your Hands!’

On Friday evening, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) decided he’d have dinner at a Houston restaurant after he had given a speech at this year’s National Rifle Association (NRA) convention.

But if Cruz was hoping for a peaceful meal, he got the exact opposite, with a TikTok user named Hopey posting a video clip with this message:

“So I was having dinner and got to see a show. Ted Cruz being accosted literally the whole time, lmao.”

In the video, a man is shown screaming in Cruz’s face:

“Why did you come here to the convention? 19 children died! 19 children died! That’s on your hands! Ted Cruz, that’s on your hands!”

The video has since gone viral, and it has also received lots of comments on social media. Take a look at a few:

Ted Cruz Gets Trolled To His Face In The Most Hilarious (And Humiliating) Way Possible

As much as he loves to take cheap shots at people on social media, you’d think Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) would have developed an appreciation for those who manage to turn the tables and pull a good joke on him.

But, alas, Teddy doesn’t have much of a sense of humor, especially when it comes to the self-deprecating kind, and he winds up looking like the odd man out whenever someone trolls him.

Cruz was pranked by two guys who call themselves The Good Liars and love to pull pranks on political figures which they make a video of and then share on Twitter.

According to HuffPost, The Good Liars had the perfect plan, and they carried it out to perfection:

A prankster duo known as The Good Liars asked the lawmaker for an autograph. He appeared ready to comply until he got a closer look at what he was expected to sign.

It was a copy of a National Enquirer cover story linking Cruz’s father, Rafael Cruz, to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, something then-rival Donald Trump used against him on the campaign trail.

There’s a story behind that National Enquirer cover, too: According to former Trump personal attorney Michael Cohen, Donald Trump personally approved the story, which was then published by his close friend, David Pecker.

It should be noted, however, that the Texas senator did manage to bestow a compliment on The Good Liars, telling them he’d seen their “silly videos.” That remark delighted the two pranksters.

A week ago, Cruz managed to own himself when he told reporters that he didn’t understand Republicans who suck up to Trump:

Just once, I’d love to see a Republican candidate stand up in a primary and say, “I am a moderate, establishment squish. I stand for absolutely nothing.” It would be refreshingly honest at least. But nobody says that.

And by the way, they all pledge their love for Donald Trump. “I love Donald Trump.” “No, no. I love Donald Trump more.” “No, no, I have Donald Trump tattooed on my rear end.”

When it comes to a complete lack of self-awareness, Ted Cruz is in a category of his own.

Ted Cruz Mocks Republicans Who Suck Up To Trump And Gets His A*s Handed To Him

It’s safe to say that Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) is one of the most pathetic excuses of a legislator in the entire Congress. All he does is try to get headlines and attention when he’s not posting crap on Twitter which almost always bites him right on the butt.

Cruz is backing David McCormick in the Pennsylvania U.S. Senate race. Failed, one-term, twice-impeached former President Donald Trump, on the other hand, has endorsed Dr. Mehmet Oz.

During a campaign appearance for McCormick, Cruz mocked people who suck up to Trump just so they can get his blessing:

Just once, I’d love to see a Republican candidate stand up in a primary and say, “I am a moderate, establishment squish. I stand for absolutely nothing.” It would be refreshingly honest at least. But nobody says that.

And by the way, they all pledge their love for Donald Trump. “I love Donald Trump.” “No, no. I love Donald Trump more.” “No, no, I have Donald Trump tattooed on my rear end.”

Of course, anyone who knows anything about Cruz knows that he too has sucked up to Trump on numerous occasions. For example:

Cruz called Trump a “sniveling coward,” a “pathological liar” and “utterly amoral,” and infuriated Republicans when he declined to endorse the nominee at the 2016 Republican National Convention.

Four years later, one of the nastiest rivalries in recent memory — a brawl both personal and political — has given way to a mutually beneficial partnership forged in the crucible of impeachment.

Working inside the Senate and out, Cruz (R-Tex.) played a unique role in securing President Trump’s swift acquittal at the third-ever presidential impeachment trial — simultaneously serving as legal strategist, jury consultant, messaging guru, broadcast surrogate and, unexpectedly, a breakout podcasting star.

Cruz is a gutless coward, a hypocrite, and a weasel. As people quickly reminded him when the video of his remarks hit Twitter on Friday evening:

Ted Cruz Haughtily Declares ‘I’m Not A Moron’ And Then Proves Otherwise

Even though he’s an arrogant asshat of a human being, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) wants us all to know that he’s “not a moron.”

Speaking with reporters on Capitol Hill, Cruz insisted that the draft Supreme Court opinion reversing the Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Pennsylvania vs. Casey decisions was leaked by a liberal law clerk working for one of the three progressive justices, though he’s also said he suspects someone in the office of Justice Sonia Sotomayor without providing a shred of evidence to support such a serious accusation.

“They wanted to put heat and they wanted to invoke politics to try to get them to change their vote. And by the way, if that left-wing law clerk succeeds, it would be the most grotesque politicization of the Supreme Court in the history of our nation.”

During a appearance on Fox Business, Cruz laid out his unsubstantiated conspiracy theory, telling host Stuart Varney:

But, when he was confronted by reporters and asked to provide substantiation for his claims, Cruz turned into a snotty little douchebag.

A reporter asked the senator:

“Senator, why do you think you know this was a liberal clerk who leaked this? Do you have information that suggests that?”

Cruz huffily replied:

“Because I’m not a moron. Because I live on planet earth. Because this is obviously an attempt from someone who is unhappy about the direction the Court is going, to put political pressure on the Justices to change their outcome. That is the only reason this gets leaked, and you know that. Come on, you’re a reporter in Washington DC.”

That led the reporter to inquire about the possibility that a conservative might have leaked the opinion because “they supported the original [Roe] decision and want to lock them [the Justices] back in. That’s a completely reasonable scenario, isn’t it?”

Cruz:

“You know what, I, I, I, find that ludicrous. But if it’s the case, maybe you’ll win a Pulitzer for that.”

The reporter countered:

“Well you’re saying you have no evidence.”

That led Cruz to retort:

“I think it’s obvious what’s going on here. And, and, and, we’ve all seen leaks often enough in this town, just not at the Supreme Court. This has never happened in any case ever, and it is truly horrifying.”

Actually, it has indeed happened in another case. Ironically, the 1973 Roe v. Wade opinion which gave women the right to make their own reproductive choices was also leaked.

If indeed it can be proven that a conservative leaked the draft, someone needs to play today’s video for Cruz and get his reaction. He might just cry.

Oh, and Ted Cruz is indeed a moron. His own words indict him on that count.
