Lauren Boebert: There’s No Need To Use Birth Control – ‘It’s Cheaper To Have A Kid’

It’s been clear for quite some time now that Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) isn’t exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer, but something she said during a House Oversight Committee hearing on the price of prescription drugs, the Colorado Republican uttered what may well go down in U.S. history as one of the dumbest things ever said by a member of Congress.

According to Boebert, “I left a prescription at a pharmacy once. I went to get birth control, and I was there at the counter and went to pay for it, and the price was very, very high. I said, wow, is this a three six-month prescription? ‘No, ma’am, this is one month.'”

“And I said, it’s cheaper to have a kid. And I left it there, and now I have my third son.”

Just for shits and giggles, let’s take Bobo’s bullshit comment and do a quick fact-check on it.

According to a 2022 Washington Post report, it costs about $17,000 a year to raise a child.

Raising a child is expensive. From the day your baby is born until the day they turn 18, your family will spend about $310,605 — or about $17,000 a year, according to a new Brookings Institution analysis of data from the U.S. Agriculture Department.

The exact amount will vary depending on how much you earn and where you live. Families in the urban Northeast typically spend the most, for example, while those in the urban Midwest and rural areas spend the least. And while families with lower incomes spend less overall, government studies show they devote a larger share of their budgets to their children.

The cost of birth control, on the other hand, can run as high as $2,000 a year, with Healthline noting, “It’s no secret that birth control is expensive. Whether you go with the pill, the ring, the patch, or another method, the cost of birth control can range up to $2,000 per year.”

Let’s see: $17,000 a year vs. $2,000 a year. That’s one hell of a difference, and it easily disproves Bobert’s moronic statement that she found it cheaper to raise a child than pay for birth control.

Twitter also had some mockery for Boebert.

WATCH A Biden Administration Official Humiliate Lauren Boebert For Asking Dumb Questions

During a congressional hearing, Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) once again proved just how unfit she is to be an elected representative while also burnishing her credentials as a complete imbecile.

White House Budget Director Shalanda Young was testifying when Boebert’s time to ask questions came and she let rip with this:

“How long will you be ceding the southern border to the cartels?”

Young politely pointed out that the Trump administration had recklessly diverted funds from the U.S. military to use for border control, which was a mistake:

“We are returning the billions of dollars that were taken from our men and women and troops in uniform for the southern border work. So this administration is returning Department of Defense money that bipartisan members decried.”

Boebert frantically told Young:

“Reclaiming my time! We’re not talking about the funding that was taken away. Right now, we are paying contractors to not build [the border wall]. I asked you how long will you be ceding the southern border to the cartels? That is my question to you, Director.”

Once more, Young calmly explained the situation to Boebert:

“Given the bipartisan concern, I thought it was important to highlight that. And to also highlight that we are moving away from an unsustainable border wall that has not worked to technology — as you pointed out…”

Boebert rudely interrupted:

“Reclaiming my time! I need you to answer the question that I’m asking you. This is my time. How long will you be ceding our southern border to the cartels?”

That’s when Young managed to completely shut down and humiliate Boebert by telling her:

“That’s not a question with an assumption I’m going to assume. So we can certainly talk about the reassessment of the border.”

All Boebert could do at that point was whine:

“My time is up!

If only Lauren Boebert’s time in the U.S. Congress was up, too. Voters in her district can rectify that in next year’s election.

Here’s the video of Lauren Boebert making a horse’s ass out of herself:

Lauren Boebert Gets Pilloried On Social Media After Trying To Blame Maui Fires On Joe Biden

As she’s done countless times in the past, Colorado Republican Congresswoman Lauren Boebert proved yet again this weekend that there truly is no depth she won’t descend to in order to prove both her stupidity and her hatred for anyone who dares to disagree with her politically.

Boebert made a posting a Twitter that quickly got her lit up for both her dishonesty and lack of empathy for survivors of a natural disaster in Hawaii.

“There is a total crisis in Maui. 3000 destroyed homes. 80 people dead. Where’s Joe Biden? On vacation of course. There is no bottom for this president.”

But a quick fact check makes it clear that Boebert is lying, with CNN reporting:

President Joe Biden issued a federal disaster declaration following “devastating” Hawaii wildfires across several parts of the Big Island and Maui and promised to send whatever is needed to help the recovery.

The fires have killed at least 36 people and devastated Lahaina, a town on the island of Maui. Speaking at an unrelated event in Utah on Thursday, Biden said the federal government is moving fast in its response.

“We’re working as quickly as possible to fight those fires and evacuate residents and tourists. In the meantime, our prayers are with the people of Hawaii, but not just our prayers: every asset that we have will be available to them,” Biden said as he began remarks at a Veterans Affairs medical center in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Boebert’s comments didn’t sit well with many on Twitter, who fired back at her.

Biden Mocks Lauren Boebert For Her Hypocrisy Regarding A Green Energy Project In Her District

President Joe Biden mocked Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) and other members of the GOP during a speech he made today in Belen, New Mexico, noting that the congresswoman had once opposed a clean energy project being built in her district which he said she is now “welcoming.”

Discussing how his administration is investing in “broader clean energy manufacturing,” the president noted, “It’s going to happen in big cities and rural communities as well. Like in Colorado, CS Wind broke ground on what will be the world’s largest wind tower manufacturing plant.”

Then came the burn on Boebert:

“And coincidentally, CS Wind is in Congresswoman Lauren Boebert, you know that very quiet Republican lady, it’s in her district. Who, along with every other Republican, voted against this bill and is making all this possible. And she railed against this passage.

“But that’s okay. She’s welcoming it now. And when I ran for office, I promised myself, as I promised to be president of all Americans, whether you live in a blue state or a red state, I’m going to keep my promise.”

There was also a jab from Biden aimed at Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL).

“He had railed against this legislation and then I noticed he had a big announcement: ‘Alabama is going to get $200 million.’ And I thought, wait a minute, didn’t you rail against this for a long, long time?”

Dark Brandon is on a roll. He’s sick of the Republican bullshit and he’s going to keep calling them out for it.

Lauren Boebert Asked Jewish Americans Visiting The US Capitol If They Were Doing ‘Reconnaissance’

A group of Jewish Americans say they were “confused” by remarks Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) made to them when they recently visited the Capitol to speak with a member of Congress.

BuzzFeed News reports:

Members of the group, which was meeting with Rep. Tom Suozzi, were wearing yarmulkes, and the person coordinating the group is Orthodox, with a traditional beard.

One witness said the group, along with other members of Congress, was waiting for an elevator. When the doors opened, Boebert stepped out of the elevator and looked the group of visitors “from head to toe,” the witness said. Boebert then asked if they were there to conduct “reconnaissance.”

“When I heard that, I actually turned to the person standing next to me and asked, ‘Did you just hear that?’” a rabbi who was with the group told BuzzFeed News.
“You know, I’m not sure to be offended or not,” the rabbi said. “I was very confused.” The rabbi added that “people are very sensitive” now, especially after what happened in Texas this past weekend, when an armed man held four people hostage at a synagogue.

When asked about her disgusting comments, Boebert — who has been accused of bringing insurrectionists into the Capitol just hours before the January 6 insurrection — said she was just repeating what Democrats had said to her:

“I saw a large group and made a joke. Sadly when Democrats see the same they demonize my family for a year straight.
“I’m too short to see anyone’s yarmulkes.”

Even if the person was the same height? Sure, Lauren.

Rep. Suozzi said Boebert’s comments were unacceptable:

“The bottom line is that everyone, especially members of Congress, have to be very, very thoughtful in the language they use. Because when you’re a member of Congress, you have an important role to play in society. You can’t be cavalier in the comments you make especially if they could be perceived as being antisemitic, or discriminatory.”

However, as we’ve seen on numerous occasions with Lauren Boebert, she isn’t the least bit thoughtful and frequently says things that prove her own bigotry and bias. She’s a cancer on Congress and needs to be removed from office.
