Newsmax host Grant Stinchfield grew enraged and had an on-air meltdown during an interview with an Army veteran, eventually cutting the interview short because the vet dared to criticize failed, one-term former President Donald Trump.
According to Jason Campbell of Media Matters, Army veteran Joe Saboe told Stinchfield that “multiple” presidents had made mistakes in Afghanistan, which led the host to counter:
In an attempt to set Stinchfield straight on the facts, Saboe told him:
The way the host responded, you’d have thought Saboe had just set an effigy of the ex-president alight and burned a flag to boot:
Still enraged, Stinchfield continued:
Yeah, Grant, your hypocritical fascist outrage is very impressive. But Trump’s fingerprints are all over the U.S. policy in Afghanistan, and it was Trump’s Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, who met with the Taliban in Doha and kissed their asses.
Trump’s foreign policy was a disaster. It could take decades to rebuild the bridges he burned with our allies and distance ourselves from the thugs he so eagerly embraced.
