WATCH A GOP Senator Defend Trump Despite His Being Found Guilty Of Sexual Assault

Not long after a jury in New York found failed former president Donald Trump guilty of sexually assaulting writer E. Jean Carroll and then defaming her when she came forward with the accusation, a Republican senator appeared on Fox News and eagerly defended the disgraced ex-president/sex offender.

Sen. Bill Hagerty (R-TN) was being interviewed by Fox host Neil Cavuto, who asked him, “While I have you, Senator, I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention, you know, former President Trump has been found liable for battery in an alleged 1996 attack on E. Jean Carroll. The jury has ruled that he has to pay her $5 million. He’s going to appeal, but this is the latest case. There are probably others. I’m just wondering whether you think that dings him as a potential presidential nominee for your party,”

Hagerty tried to deflect the question and change the subject.

“Neil, we’ve been watching this legal circus in Manhattan unfold. This is just the latest act in it. Uh, I, I don’t think this is having an impact on the American public’s viewpoint. I think the American public is very focused on what’s happening to the real economy right now. Look at what happens at our border right now. We’re about to lose Title 42. We’re about to have another, you know, increase in the crisis there. Look around the globe at the, you know, the various crises that have been precipitated by this administration. I think that’s where the focus of the American public is right now, and they’re gonna be looking for leadership to solve that,” the senator responded. “Joe Biden is not the one to deliver that leadership.”

Cavuto then inquired, “So someone like an Asa Hutchison, the former Arkansas governor running for president says that the president should step down facing all of these legal battles. He was referring first and foremost, obviously, to this earlier case. I’m just wondering whether you agree that maybe another nominee wouldn’t have as many as many burdens, whether justified or not.”

Once more Hagerty refused to utter a single word of criticism against his political lord and savior.

“No. Neil, I think we’ve seen President Trump under attack since before he became president. This has been going on for, for years, and he’s been amazing in his ability to weather these sorts of attacks. The American public has been amazing in their support for him through all of it.”

It’s been said before but it needs to be repeated: The GOP has become a cult and their cult leader is none other than Donald J. Trump.

Marjorie Taylor Greene Is Told To Look In The Mirror After She Calls Hunter Biden ‘White Trash’

Georgia Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene walked right into a massive self-own when she accused the Biden family of being engaged in criminal activities.

In a video she posted on Twitter, the controversial Greene said the Biden family “has been influence peddling Joe Biden’s public office as Senator, VP, and POTUS.”

“Not one person has done anything about it, but the buck stops under the Republican-led House,” she added.

Greene also alleged that President Biden’s son, Hunter, has been engaged in sex trafficking (though she provided no proof), which led her to remark, “I want you to really think about that. Hunter Biden is the biggest piece of white trash in America.”

Hunter Biden is white trash? That’s incredibly rich coming from a woman who gets off on shooting semiautomatic rifles, screwing around on her ex-husband as often as the sun rises in the East, and even resorted to heckling during the State of the Union address, a move that led Democratic strategist to respond:

“Well, you know, I told people I have a PhD in white trashology, you saw real white trash on display. Let me say something about congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene. She dresses like white trash. She really needs a fashion consultant. I recommend George Santos. He could do a good job of dressing up where she doesn’t announce her white trashdom by her own clothes.”

As for Greene’s clear psychological projection of her own insecurities onto Hunter Biden, Twitter users had some thoughts.

Lauren Boebert Gets Hit With Her Anti-LGBTQ Tweets After Saying She Mourns Shooting At CO Nightclub

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) was reminded of her many hateful anti-LGBTQ tweets Sunday after she expressed sympathy for the victims of a mass shooting at the Club Q nightclub that left five dead and 18 injured.

“The news out of Colorado Springs is absolutely awful. This morning the victims & their families are in my prayers. This lawless violence needs to end and end quickly.”

Club Q, it should be noted, is a gay and lesbian club that has hosted drag shows. Such shows have been repeatedly attacked rhetorically by Boebert and other right-wing Republicans who have wrongly accused the LGBTQ community of “grooming” children for sexual purposes.

Boebert was quickly hit with reminders of the disgustingly bigoted things she’s posted on Twitter in the past about LGBTQ Americans.

Trump Ordered Classified Docs Moved From Mar-a-Lago Shortly Before FBI Search Warrant: Report

Shortly before the FBI served a search warrant on failed, one-term, twice-impeached former president Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, a Trump employee says he was ordered to move classified documents to the ex-president’s residence at the Florida property, according to a report from The Washington Post.

A Trump employee has told federal agents about moving boxes of documents at Mar-a-Lago at the specific direction of the former president, according to people familiar with the investigation, who say the witness account — combined with security-camera footage — offers key evidence of Donald Trump’s behavior as investigators sought the return of classified material.

The witness description and footage described to The Washington Post offer the most direct account to date of Trump’s actions and instructions leading up to the FBI’s Aug. 8 search of the Florida residence and private club, in which agents were looking for evidence of potential crimes including obstruction, destruction of government records or mishandling classified information.

The Post also notes after Trump received a subpoena in May for any and all classified documents at Mar-a-Lago, the ex-president suddenly decided it was time to move the boxes of papers, which certainly indicates an attempt to obstruct justice and hide evidence of his crime.

The first time he was interviewed, the witness said he knew nothing about any documents Trump might have illegally taken when he left office. He also denied having handled him. But when he was interviewed a second time, the witness admitted he had been untruthful.

The witness is now considered a key part of the Mar-a-Lago investigation, these people said, offering details about the former president’s alleged actions and instructions to subordinates that could have been an attempt to thwart federal officials’ demands for the return of classified and government documents.

A filing the Justice Department made Wednesday to the Supreme Court seems to confirm the cooperation of a witness inside the former president’s orbit:

“The FBI uncovered evidence that the response to the grand jury subpoena was incomplete, that additional classified documents likely remained at Mar-a-Lago, and that efforts had likely been taken to obstruct the investigation.”

If convicted under the Espionage Act for taking the classified documents, Trump could receive up to 33 years in prison, Business Insider has reported:

Former President Donald Trump could receive up to 33 years in prison if he is charged and convicted of violating three federal laws following the FBI’s search at his Mar-a-Lago residence, legal experts say.

The search warrant revealed that federal authorities were looking for evidence to see if Trump violated the Espionage Act, which carries a prison sentence of up to 10 years. The Justice Department is also investigating whether Trump violated two other criminal statutes by attempting to conceal or remove records, which carries a prison sentence of up to three years, and by attempting to damage, alter, or falsify records, which carries a prison sentence of up to 20 years.

Rather than admit he made a mistake in taking the documents, Trump has claimed they belonged to him and he had every right to take then when he left the White House.

At Least 6 Current Employees May Be Informing On Trump To The FBI: Report

As disgraced former president Donald Trump and his allies continue to demand that the Justice Department release the affidavit used to obtain the search warrant executed by the FBI last week at the ex-president’s Mar-a-Lago resort, a new report from The New York Times makes it clear that multiple people in Trump’s orbit are sharing everything they know with federal investigators.

According to The Times:

(Former Deputy White House Counsel Patrick Philbin) is among eight people who currently or used to work for Mr. Trump who have been contacted by the F.B.I. since a grand jury was formed this year. Investigators also interviewed Derek Lyons, a former White House staff secretary.

Mr. Lyons’s last day at the White House was Dec. 18, 2020, meaning he did not know how the last boxes were packed as Mr. Trump prepared to leave. But he had information about paper flow in the White House and how the former president handled material.

The F.B.I. has reached out to about a half-dozen people who currently work for Mr. Trump and who might know what documents he may still have in his possession.

A half-dozen people! That’s a lot of witnesses who could potentially testify against Trump at a trail if the DOJ decides to indict the former president for violating the Espionage Act and obstructing justice. The charges under the Espionage Act carry penalties as high as 10 years for every classified or top secret document that may have been improperly handled.

Meanwhile, Trump’s minions in right-wing media continue to press for the names of who “the informant” might be. But it looks like they (and he) have set their sights too low, as at least six employees are gladly informing on their boss, probably because they know he’s gone too far this time and has to be brought to justice for his crimes.
