Matt Gaetz Gets Pelted With Mockery When He Favorably Compares Trump To The Taliban

We’ve known for some time now that Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) is a complete idiot whose only purpose in life seems to be self-promotion. It’s the Donald Trump school of politics: Always keep your name in the news.

Of course, much of the publicity Gaetz has received in recent months is due to his alleged sexual trafficking of an underage girl, which could send him to prison for the rest of his life.

And yet, Gaetz continues to draw attention to himself, as if desperate to make a complete fool of himself on social media, which he did once again Wednesday after reading an article on a right-wing blog that suggested Twitter was allowing the Taliban to post on the social media site.

That led the congressman to post this tweet:

So Matt Gaetz wants to see the Taliban and Trump on Twitter. And he thinks their “government” is more legitimate than the one that was elected overwhelmingly by the American people last November. Wow! That’s some serious flirting with outright treason.

As for Trump still being banned from Twitter, Gaetz and other Trump acolytes forget that he was repeatedly warned about his postings and ignored those warnings. He violated Twitter’s terms of service, and that’s why he got the boot.

Gaetz, on the other hand, is just a douchebag who loves Trump more than he loves almost anything except underage girls. And he got some serious pushback for his tweet:

Maybe when he gets to prison, Matty can brag to his fellow inmates about how much he loves the Taliban right before they tell him to shut up and put on the dress they gave him.

Wasn’t This Supposed To Be Trump ‘Reinstatement’ Day? Twitter Had Some Thoughts On It

According to Donald Trump’s most devoted (and deranged) acolytes and supporters, today, August 13, 2021, was supposed to be the day that he would be “reinstated” as president.

Mike Lindell, the CEO of MyPillow, has been saying ever since January that Trump was going to be magically back in the White House today, but considering that he’s a recovering crackhead, you have to wonder if perhaps he’s been hitting the pipe again.

However, Joe Biden remains president, and Lindell has been walking/running back his ludicrous prediction, saying in July:

“Here’s what I said about a week ago, I said we’re going to live stream to the world on the 10th, 11th, and 12th of August,” he explained about his cyber symposium in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. “But what I said was when you all see what I’ve seen and what I have, the morning of the 13th, you’re going to wake up and go, ‘Wow, what are we going to do?’ Everyone’s going to know it and that’s when we’re going to bring it to the Supreme Court.” Lindell didn’t say “that everything’s going to change the morning of the 13th” (a Friday the 13th, mind you), but “everybody’s going to know what I know.”

Translation: Forget what I said earlier. I was high on pillow fumes and Red Bull. You guys totally misunderstood what I tried to say. I never ever predicted such a thing.

Uh…yeah. OK. Whatever, man.

But the August 13 prediction did manage to produce one tangible bit of good: It resulted in some hilarious postings on Twitter. Take a look:

Oh well, maybe the MAGA morons can schedule another day for their next delusion. Is there anything happening on December 25 that would prevent them from making that Reinstatement Day Part Deux?

MTG Has A Paranoid Twitter Meltdown About Rumors She’s About To Be Banned From Social Media

Proving that her understanding of something as ubiquitous as social media is not fully developed, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is now accusing the New York Times of conspiring with Twitter to have her banned from the platform.

Greene posted a screenshot of an email she received from Davey Alba, a technology reporter for the Times who specializes in online conspiracy theories and inaccurate postings on social media sites such as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

Alba’s email references a tweet of Greene’s from Wednesday in which she claimed (without any proof) that COVID vaccines are causing miscarriages and other health problems among pregnant women. The email reads:

“Twitter is likely to take enforcement action on Ms. Greene’s account for coronavirus information. It would be her fourth strike, meaning she would have one strike to go before potentially being permanently suspended from the platform. Would Ms. Greene want to respond to this in a statement?”

That led to this bizarre and unhinged reaction from the Georgia congresswoman:

“How would the @nytimes know that my @Twitter account is about to be suspended? My account is NOT suspended. What kind of relationship does the NYT and Twitter have? Do they coordinate suspending people like me and news stories? Is someone paying for that? Why?”

That’s a whole lotta stupid for just one person, and it didn’t take long before others on Twitter began pelting Greene with mockery:

Marjorie Taylor Greene Pitches A Bizarre Twitter Fit About AOC, ‘Oreos’ And ‘Cheez-Its’

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has a bizarre obsession with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), and has acted in a threatening manner toward the New York congresswoman on the floor of the House.

But what Greene posted in Twitter about AOC and Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) is downright deranged.

Apparently, Greene was upset that Bush and AOC have been protesting on the Capitol steps in response a lapse in the ban on evictions that had been in place but expired last Friday, so she thought it would be a good idea to complain for all the world to see:

Wait a damn minute! MTG is bent out of shape about a peaceful protest but is just fine with what happened on January 6? There’s hypocrisy, but this is on a whole other level, as Greene was reminded:

MTG is always trying to stir up trouble to distract from her own possible crimes. Just wait until she gets a subpoena from the 1/6 Select Committee. Who’ll be to blame then, Domino’s or Pizza Hut?

Ted Cruz Tried To Troll Joe Biden By ‘Driving’ A Truck – It Backfired Badly On Him

Poor Ted Cruz. The Texas senator wants so badly to pretend that he has a sense of humor and is a master of internet trolling, but the problem is his efforts at trolling always come back to slap him right upside his moronic grin.

This time Teddy decided he’d try to make fun of President Joe Biden, a man who has accomplished more in his life than Cruz ever will.

Cruz saw a posting on the right-wing website The Daily Caller referencing Biden saying that he had once had the honor of driving an 18-wheel truck. Rather than just letting that pass, Teddy thought he’d post a photo of himself sitting in the cab of a truck with the caption: “Pics or it didn’t happen.”

That’s the best Cruz can do? No wonder his Senate colleagues reportedly hate him. He’s a douchebag with no sense of humor who thinks he’s superior to everyone else.

It didn’t take long before Twitter gave Cruz a giant dose of internet karma:
