According to Alina Habba, an attorney for disgraced and twice-indicted ex-president Donald Trump, her client is “the most ethical American” she knows, but he might well have tried delete footage from security cameras at his Mar-a-Lago resort.
Habba was a guest on Fox this morning, and she was asked by host Shannon Bream about a new poll showing that 78% of Americans think Trump did something wrong and possibly illegal.
Rather than respond to the question, Habba attacked Special Counsel Jack Smith.
Bream then asked, “You rightly say that the tapes were turned over. I mean, they’re in custody of the Justice Department. But the question is, was there an attempt to try to make sure that didn’t happen?”
Habba said the tapes were Trump’s property and could have been deleted if he had chosen to do so.
Bream pressed again: “I mean, that’s the allegation is that he did try to.”
“Shannon, I know the facts, and the facts are when President Trump gets a subpoena, it goes to the organization, the organization turns it over,” Habba insisted.
With attorneys like Alina Habba “defending” him, Donnie might as well go ahead and confess.
