Attorney For Rittenhouse Says Don Jr. Is An ‘Idiot’ For Wanting To Send His Client An AR-15

Much like his father, Donald Trump Jr. is known for making moronic statements that come back to bite him on the butt. And that’s most certainly the case with a suggestion Junior made about sending an AR-15 semiautomatic rifle to acquitted Kenosha shooter Kyle Rittenhouse.

In a since-deleted tweet, Don Jr. wrote:

“Gun Owners of America is sending Kyle Rittenhouse an AR-15. Sign the card in support of Kyle. Americans have a fundamental right to defend themselves and to keep and bear arms. The verdict in the Kyle Rittenhouse trial is a recognition of those rights.”

Mark Richards, an attorney who represented Rittenhouse, told Insider that he thinks right-wing figures who are trying to make buck off his client are disgusting:

“There’s a lot of people trying to profit on this, and I don’t think people should.

“They’re raising money on it and you have all these Republican congressmen saying come work for me. They want to trade on his celebrity and I think it’s disgusting.”

As for Don Jr. specifically, Richards noted:

“He’s an idiot. I don’t have to expand on that because it speaks for itself.”

Junior’s daddy, however, thought it was a good idea to invite Rittenhouse to his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida, so he could associate himself with someone who shot protesters and then claimed self-defense.

After the visit with Rittenhouse, the failed, one-term ex-president had this to say:

“He came over with his mother. Really a nice young man. … That was prosecutorial misconduct. He should have not have had to suffer through a trial for that. He was going to be dead.”

Of course, for some time now we’ve known that Trump family is nothing but a collection of grifters, con men, and opportunists who love to attach their names to anything that will keep them in the public consciousness because the thing they fear most of all is being irrelevant.

Idiot is an apt description of Junior, an overgrown adolescent who has never worked a day in his life, cheated on the mother of his children, and is little more than an annoyance, like a housefly or a cockroach.

Maybe we need to send a can of Raid to Don Jr.

Jen Psaki Destroys Peter Doocy When He Asks If Biden Will Apologize To Kyle Rittenhouse

Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy tried again Tuesday to trip up White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, only to wind up humiliated when Psaki brilliantly turned the tables on him.

Doocy began by noting that President Joe Biden had linked acquitted Kenosha shooter Kyle Rittenhouse to white supremacists in remarks he made during the 2020 campaign. He then asked Psaki:

“Will the president ever apologize to the acquitted Kenosha shooter Kyle Rittenhouse for suggesting online and on TV that he is a white supremacist.”

Psaki responded:

“This is about a campaign video released last year that used President Trump’s own words during a debate as he refused to condemn white supremacists and militia groups. And President Trump, as you know… didn’t just refuse to condemn militia groups on the debate stage, he actively encouraged them throughout his presidency.

So, you know, what we’ve seen are the tragic consequences of that. When people think it’s okay to take the law into their own hands instead of allowing law enforcement to do its job. And the president believes in condemning hatred, division, and violence. That’s exactly what was done in that video.”

But Doocy couldn’t resist digging the hole he was in even deeper:

“You’re saying that it was just a campaign video. It wasn’t. The president gave an interview that he said that Rittenhouse was part of a militia coming out of Illinois.

“None of this was not proven in trial and Kyle Rittenhouse is saying that the president had actual malice in defaming his character.”

Again, Psaki was prepared and swatted Doocy down:

“The president spoke to the verdict last week. He has obviously condemned the hatred and division and violence we’ve seen around the country by groups like the Proud Boys and groups that that individual has posed in photos with. But beyond that, I’ll leave it to his comments around the verdict.”

As a matter of fact, Rittenhouse posed with the Proud Boys in Wisconsin, as the The Washington Post reported back in January:

Shortly after pleading not guilty to murder and weapons charges earlier this month, Kyle Rittenhouse showed up at a bar in Mount Pleasant, Wis., clad in a T-shirt that said “Free as F—,” prosecutors said. Then the 18-year-old allegedly drank three beers, posed for photos with members of Proud Boys and flashed a “white power” hand sign.

Rittenhouse now says he supports the Black Lives Matter movement. But as the old saying goes, actions speak louder than words.

Trump Claims He ‘Saved Kenosha’ As He Takes Credit For Kyle Rittenhouse’s Acquittal

According to failed, one-term, twice-impeached former President Donald Trump, it’s a good thing he was in office when Kyle Rittenhouse shot and killed two people in Kenosha, Wisconsin, because the city was saved and Rittenhouse was acquitted thanks to the brilliant actions of the Donald.

Speaking with Fox News host Laura Ingraham, Trump had this to say about the not guilty verdict handed down by a jury on Friday:

“I think that it was a great decision. I was sad it had to go this far. Somebody should have ended it earlier, and frankly the case should have never been brought. It was prosecutorial misconduct. … I was very happy to see (the not guilty verdict). A lot of people were very happy to see it — most people.”

Trump went on to accuse CNN and MSNBC of making the case about race:

“They were really trying to spew hatred. They’d love to see riots all over the place”

Like the riots that took place at the Capitol on January 6th when Trump urged his supporters to march on the building and make sure the electoral votes weren’t counted?

The ex-president also patted himself on the back for saving the city of Kenosha:

“We saved Kenosha very early. It was a horrible couple of nights. They got individual stores. The place didn’t burn down to the ground because we sent in a lot of good people.”

As usual, Trump wants us to believe that only he is capable of handling a crisis. Yet he failed to adequately control the COVID pandemic, repeatedly lied about the dangers of the virus, and even suggested it could be treated by injecting disinfectant or using bright light inside the body.

Every time he opens his big mouth, Donald Trump reminds us why voters overwhelmingly rejected him.

Here’s the video from Fox:

Kyle Rittenhouse Facing Federal Charges As DOJ Is Called On To Review Case

Accused Kenosha shooter Kyle Rittenhouse was found not guilty by a jury of his peers today, with NBC News reporting:

Rittenhouse was charged with reckless homicide in the slaying of Joseph Rosenbaum, 36, and intentional homicide in the death of Anthony Huber, 26.

He also faced a charge of attempted intentional homicide for severely wounding Gaige Grosskreutz, a 27-year-old paramedic from suburban Milwaukee who was there that night volunteering his medical services, and two counts of recklessly endangering safety.

But Rittenhouse is not in the clear legally. He could still face federal charges, and the Justice Department is being called on review the case and see if he should be charged.

Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY), chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, tweeted out a call for the DOJ to take a close look at Rittenhouse:

Specifically, Rittenhouse could face being charged with federal civil rights violations and a hate crime. That decision will have to be made by the DOJ, and it could impact future cases of this type when protesters are targeted by those who disagree with them.

So while Kyle Rittenhouse may be in the clear for the moment, there’s a very good chance he’s going to be back in court very soon, and his luck will eventually run out.
