WATCH: Petulant Ted Cruz Slams His Boot On The Desk At Senate Hearing With FBI Director

In his effort to keep his #1 ranking as the most hated person in the United States Senate, Ted Cruz (R-TX) used a boot as a prop at a hearing on Thursday with FBI Director Christopher Wray, slamming it on the table as he asked a question.

Cruz had his panties in a wad over what he claimed was an FBI memo that identified some symbols being associated with violent militias that were seen on display during the January 6 Capitol insurrection.

Some of those symbols included the Gadsden “Don’t Tread on Me” Flag and the Gonzales “Come and Take It” Flag, that most of us have seen.

That led Cruz to tell Wray:

“Also included on this is a text that I was particularly struck is the Gonzales battle flag, ‘come and take it,’ as indicative of being a violent extremist militia. Well, I will self report right now that every day in the Senate I wear my boots that have the Gonzales battle flag on the back.”

With that, Cruz slammed one of the boots up on the table and continued his petulant rant:

“Director Ray, what are y’all doing? This makes no sense. Do you agree with this FBI guidance that the Betsy Ross flag and the Gadsden flag and the Gonzales battle flag are signs of militia violent extremism?”

Wray told Cruz:

“Well, Senator. I’m not familiar with the particular document you have behind you.

“And I’m not in the practice of trying to comment on documents that I haven’t recognized, but I will tell you that when we put out intelligence products, including ones that reference symbols, which we do, across a wide variety of contexts, we usually make great pains, take great pains, to put caveats and warnings in the document to make clear that a symbol alone is not considered evidence of violent extremism.”

However, one good thing did come out of today’s hearing: We now know that Ted Cruz is also the biggest, whiniest little baby in the Senate, too.

January 6 Rioter Arrested After He Called The FBI Hotline To ‘Clear His Name’

Samuel Fontanez Rodriguez thought he had a brilliant way to clear himself of what he did on January 6, 2021: He’d call the FBI hotline, give them only part of his name, and be off the hook for his crimes.

Instead, Rodriguez is now facing a charge of knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority, along with several other offenses.

However, it was the incredibly stupid move of calling to “clear his name,” according to Lehigh Valley Live:

According to the criminal complaint, Fontanez Rodriguez on Jan. 22, 2021, called the FBI National Threat Operations Center “to clear his name surrounding the events at the U.S. Capitol building in Washington, D.C. on Jan. 6, 2021.”

He purportedly said he was in the area of the Capitol from about 2:05 to 2:22 p.m. before catching an Uber about 2:43 p.m. The caller initially identified himself as Samuel Fontanez and was subsequently identified as Samuel Fontanez Rodriguez, according to court records filed by investigators who followed up on the initial call with an interview with the suspect March 19, 2021.

Of course, no one ever said that Trump supporters that the domestic terrorists who stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6 are very bright. After all, these geniuses actually though they could carry off a coup with bear spray, zip ties, and flag poles as weapons. Oh, and they also were under the impression that Congress would refuse to certify the election if they wreaked enough havoc. Instead, they’re now being sent to prison and Joe Biden is president because he overwhelmingly won the 2020 election.

Boebert Reported To FBI And Secret Service For Threatening President Biden

Considering that she has repeatedly defended the actions of domestic terrorists who attacked the U.S. Capitol on January 6, it probably shouldn’t surprise anyone that Colorado Republican Congresswoman Lauren Boebert is now issuing threats against President Joe Biden.

And this threat could land Boebert in very hot water.

On Sunday, Boebert posted this on Twitter:

The word “terminate” appears to be a reference to remarks Biden made regarding reproductive rights earlier this week when he misspoke and said:

“Ten years old and she was forced to travel out of the state to Indiana to seek to terminate the presidency and maybe save her life.”

Boebert’s tweet led to others on social media reporting her to the FBI and Secret Service for what they perceived to be a direct threat against the president.

It’s the second time this week that Boebert has drawn heavy criticism online for comments she made.

On Friday evening, Boebert said the following during an appearance on Fox News:

“Leftists, who now make up the genocide squad, want abortion anytime, anywhere, including babies who are already born. But that’s not going to happen.”

Time to arrest Bobo and charge her with making terroristic threats.

WATCH Marjorie Taylor Greene Get ‘Canceled’ By Newsmax When She Attacks The FBI

Right-wingers absolutely love to talk about how progressives want to impose “cancel culture” on everything they disagree with, which is really just code for conservatives wanting to be racist, homophobic, sexist, or disgustingly bigoted and getting their feelings hurt when they’re called out for being willfully obtuse.

But cancel culture came to call for Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) on Thursday during her media event with fellow extremist Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-FL). And this time it came from the right.

 

First of all, the press conference on the first anniversary of the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol was even more batshit crazy than you’d expect hearing the names Greene and Gaetz, with the Florida perv insisting that Jan. 6 had been a false flag staged by the federal government:

“Congresswoman Greene and I are not here to celebrate January 6. We’re not here to obsess about it. But we are here to expose the truth.”

He then went fully fact-free:

“We know this: January 6th last year wasn’t an insurrection. No one’s been charged with insurrection, no one’s been charged with treason. But it may very well have been a Fedsurrection.”

When it was Greene’s turn to talk, she picked up the baton from Florida Man and kicked off her own demented rant:

“You know what I think needs to be the biggest investigation in United States history? What is going on at the FBI and what is happening at the Department of Justice? And the American people deserve those answers because it’s the American people and the taxpayers that pay for all of it! Now I don’t want to have anything to do with a government that is going to be so obsessed with overturning regime change in our own country when it should be serving the American people, particularly…”

Extreme right-wing “news” site Newsmax quickly cut away from Greene, with the host noting:

“All right, Marjorie Taylor Greene. With Congressman Matt Gaetz there, putting forth some of the arguments from the Republican side that you certainly didn’t hear today from President Biden and the Democrats.”

Yep, Marj and the Sunshine State Perv got canceled by a right-wing outlet, which may well be the most ironic thing of 2022 even though the year has just begun.

Sorry, Marj, but even your conservative, tinfoil hat-wearing compatriots appear to be tired of your crap.

Former FBI Official Warns: Jan. 6 Will ‘Pale In Comparison’ To What Trumpers Have Planned For 2022

A former FBI counterterrorism official Frank Figliuzzi said Monday that what he already sees on the horizon for the 2022 midterm elections will make the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection “pale in comparison.”

Appearing on MSNBC, Figliuzzi warned:

“You know, about a year ago, if you had asked me about this … I would have called this what intelligence officials call an over the horizon threat — something that’s coming, something we should be aware of and think about as a future threat. But the horizon is here. This has been a dress rehearsal for at least a year for radical extremism.”

Noting that QAnon Republicans are taking over at the local and state level which is incredibly dangerous, Figliuzzi continued:

“He’s (Trump) putting his people in place. People who are moderate, reasonable Republicans have already announced, ‘I’m out, I’m out of Congress, I’m out of the governor’s office. I’m out.’ Now we see people like [David] Perdue in Georgia who will be involved in the primary. Why? President Trump needs his guy in Georgia.”

From a national security perspective, Figliuzzi said, the threat the nation faces in 2022 “is going to make the Jan. 6 riot pale in comparison.”

The Justice Department, he concluded, needs to get active, and fast:

“We need DOJ to step it up. I have been the voice of reason with regard to those who say they are taking too slow at DOJ, with regard to the insurrection investigation. I am the guy that says, ‘No, 700 defendants is not slow. They are doing a great job.'”
