Photo Of MTG On The House Floor Suggests She’s Worried What The Jan. 6 Committee Has On Her

The list of Republicans who played an active role in the January 6 Capitol insurrection and attempted coup continues to grow, and as new evidence is revealed by the House Select Committee, it seems many inside the GOP were eager and willing to help subvert the American political system and install Donald Trump as dictator for life rather than heed what the voters wanted.

On Monday, Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), who serves on the Jan. 6 committee, read text messages from various people connected to the Trump White House (including Donald Trump Jr. and former chief of staff Mark Meadows), which revealed that even those who supported the ex-president knew the horrific violence taking place on Capitol Hill was going to leave a permanent stain on whatever legacy there might be from the Trump presidency.

We’re also getting new developments regarding what current members of Congress were doing as the Capitol was under attack.

One of those is Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), who was allegedly laughing and giddy as Trump supporters stormed the nation’s seat of government back in January.

Greene has refused to support the ongoing investigation into the events of Jan. 6, but she finally appears to be worried about what information may be coming out regarding her personal culpability.

Today, as the House debated a criminal contempt referral to the Justice Department for Mark Meadows, Greene was seen sitting behind a colleague who was speaking on the House floor, and it certainly appears like Marj is, to borrow a phrase, going through some things. Take a look:

That image led many on Twitter to remark that Greene does indeed look like she’d just seen a ghost:

Yes, the committee likely has the phone records of every member of Congress who played a role in Jan. 6. And that’s probably why Greene looks so forlorn and concerned. Imagine her expression when a subpoena and/or indictment with her name on them is handed down. I’m betting she’ll burst into tears and beg her lord and savior Trump to save her.

Ana Navarro Masterfully Trolls Don Jr. Over New Revelations About His Jan. 6 Text Messages

As the Capitol insurrection was taking place on January 6 of this year, we now know, Donald Trump Jr. was feverishly texting then-Chief of Staff Mark Meadows in an attempt to have his father tell the rioters to stand down.

The Daily Beast notes:

“He’s got to condemn this shit ASAP,” Donald Trump Jr. texted Meadows. “The Capitol Police tweet is not enough.”

“I’m pushing it hard. I agree,” Meadows responded.

“We need an Oval Office address. He has to lead now. It has gone too far and gotten out of hand,” the president’s son responded.

An aide to Donald Trump Jr. declined to comment on the newly disclosed exchange, one of several with Meadows that Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), a member of the House select committee to investigate the Jan. 6 riot, read aloud at the meeting. Donald Trump Jr. texted Meadows “again and again,” according to Cheney.

The fact that Junior had to try and get a message to his own father via Mark Meadows led Ana Navarro, co-host of “The View” to troll the failed, one-term former president’s son on Twitter:

Exactly! Like Ana, I always knew I could call my father and he would be there for me. He even told his secretary: No matter how important of a meeting I might be in, if my wife or one of my son’s calls, let me know immediately. That’s what a good father does.

Of course, Junior’s old man has never been a good father. He cheated on the mothers of all his children and has been a serial philanderer his entire life. He doesn’t have time for anyone but himself and his own selfish needs.

The only thing Don Jr. shares with his dad is a name. But he has to communicate with him via underlings and sycophants. That’s downright pathetic.

Appeals Court Ruling Lays Out ‘Direct Linkage’ Between Trump And Capitol Riots

The United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit has ruled unanimously today that failed, one-term former President Donald cannot keep archived White House records from his administration hidden from the House Select Committee on the January 6 riots.

In a devastating ruling, the court of appeals explained why Trump has no “executive privilege” right to keep his documents from the committee: Because Congress has a direct interest in investigating an attack that was clearly launched on the legislative branch of the U.S. government, writing:

“The January 6th Committee has also demonstrated a sound factual predicate for requesting these presidential documents specifically. There is a direct linkage between the former President and the events of the day.”

Be sure and read that paragraph carefully. The second highest court in this country just linked Trump to the Jan. 6 insurrection at the Capitol. That alone makes it clear the ex-president is facing a range of charges, including inciting a riot, inciting an insurrection against the United States, and other crimes against the country.

The judges even laid out exactly how Trump was responsible for inciting the violence that took place on Jan. 6:

“Then-President Trump called for his supporters to gather in Washington, D.C. for a ‘wild’ response to what he had been alleging for months was a stolen election. On January 6th, President Trump directed his followers to go to the Capitol and ‘fight’ for their Country with the aim of preventing Congress’s certification of the electoral vote.”

Since the White House serves as “the hub for intelligence about threats of violent action against the government, and the Executive Branch is in charge of federal law enforcement,” the judges noted, its only logical for a congressional investigation to request White House documents that will help shed light on what transpired on that fateful January day earlier this year.

Trump can still appeal today’s ruling to the Supreme Court, but legal experts say it’s unlikely the high court will decide to take up the case since it deals with already settled precedents and rulings.

If the Supreme Court does reject Trump’s appeal, the House Select Committee could have the documents it has requested by as soon as early next year.

MTG Gets Slammed By Reporter For Caring More About Rioters Than Capitol Cops

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) held a press conference with her fellow moronic colleagues, Matt Gaetz (FL) and Louie Gohmert (TX) to whine about the insurrectionists who attacked the Capitol on January 6 and how they’re being treated since they tried to stage a coup to prevent the certification of the 2020 election.

According to The Independent, Greene told reporters:

“The January 6th defendants that I spoke to and asked questions to at the jail said that if they have a public defender … their public defenders hate them.
“They’re being represented by public defenders that call them white supremacist, tell them they have to denounce President Trump, tell them they have to denounce their political views, want them to watch videos and read books that basically is critical race theory training, in order for them to have this public defender represent them.”

Did Greene, Gaetz, or Gohmert offer a shred of evidence to support such allegations? Nope. Greene just expects us to believe her even though she lies almost as much as her political savior, failed, one-term former President Donald Trump.

When a reporter noted that he didn’t recall Greene holding a press conference to complain about how members of the Capitol Police were treated by Capitol rioters, a clearly pissed off MTG snapped:

“You may not remember a particular press conference about police officers, but I have made many public statements and cried out against all violence against police officers for the BL- yes, yes for the police officers, specifically for the Capitol Police here.

“Congressman Gohmert sponsored a bill that I co-sponsored with him wanting to give, you know, medals of honor to award them for how they were treated during the January 6 riot, but also extend it to police officers all across the country. I am not going to separate them. I am very supportive of our police, and I have consistently denounced the violence here, so do not go down that route.”

Talk is cheap, and Greene is one of the reasons the Capitol was under siege earlier this year. She needs to be charged and prosecuted. And she also needs to shut the hell up and sit her fat ass down.

Former FBI Official Warns: Jan. 6 Will ‘Pale In Comparison’ To What Trumpers Have Planned For 2022

A former FBI counterterrorism official Frank Figliuzzi said Monday that what he already sees on the horizon for the 2022 midterm elections will make the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection “pale in comparison.”

Appearing on MSNBC, Figliuzzi warned:

“You know, about a year ago, if you had asked me about this … I would have called this what intelligence officials call an over the horizon threat — something that’s coming, something we should be aware of and think about as a future threat. But the horizon is here. This has been a dress rehearsal for at least a year for radical extremism.”

Noting that QAnon Republicans are taking over at the local and state level which is incredibly dangerous, Figliuzzi continued:

“He’s (Trump) putting his people in place. People who are moderate, reasonable Republicans have already announced, ‘I’m out, I’m out of Congress, I’m out of the governor’s office. I’m out.’ Now we see people like [David] Perdue in Georgia who will be involved in the primary. Why? President Trump needs his guy in Georgia.”

From a national security perspective, Figliuzzi said, the threat the nation faces in 2022 “is going to make the Jan. 6 riot pale in comparison.”

The Justice Department, he concluded, needs to get active, and fast:

“We need DOJ to step it up. I have been the voice of reason with regard to those who say they are taking too slow at DOJ, with regard to the insurrection investigation. I am the guy that says, ‘No, 700 defendants is not slow. They are doing a great job.'”
