Gun-Worshiping Conservatives Say Louisville Mass Shooter’s Use Of Pronouns Caused The Crime

Another day, another mass shooting in the United States.

This time the horror took place at a bank building in Louisville, Kentucky, with CNN reporting that the shooter was a 23-year-old former bank employee.

A 23-year-old bank employee opened fire at his workplace in downtown Louisville, Kentucky, on Monday morning and livestreamed the attack that left four dead and nine others wounded, authorities said.

The gunman was identified as Connor Sturgeon, an employee at Old National Bank, according to interim Louisville Metro Police Chief Jacquelyn Gwinn-Villaroel. He was killed by police after a shootout with authorities.

The four victims, all between the ages of 40 and 64, were identified as Joshua Barrick, Juliana Farmer, Tommy Elliott and James Tutt, the chief said. Gov. Andy Beshear said Elliott, a senior vice president at the bank, was one of his closest friends.

The reason for the shooting remains unclear, but conservatives who cannot fathom that the ease of acquiring guns in the United States might deserve a closer look already have a theory: Pronouns.

Shortly after the shooting hit the news and Sturgeon was identified, right-wingers on social media began noting that on his LinkedIn profile, the shooter had identified as he/him, which is not the least bit unusual in today’s business world.

But to hear the gun fetishists tell it, Sturgeon’s use of pronouns is the reason he went on a shooting spree. Here’s a sampling:

“Conor Sturgeon is allegedly the active shooter in Louisville, Kentucky. Another Democrat with creepy pronouns in his bio. I wonder if Joe Biden will blame Republicans? Absolutely yes, he will. We should use NASA and send most Democrats to space to save America. “

“Yet another Democrat shooter. Louisville mass shooter has been identified as Connor Sturgeon, who used the pronouns He/Him. Want to stop gun violence? STOP SELLING GUNS TO DEMOCRATS!”

“So once again Another Democrat with pronouns in their bio decided to shoot innocent people in Louisville, Kentucky. Color me surprised!”

“The Louisville mass bank shooter had pronouns in his LinkedIn bio. I’m sure it’s just a coincidence.”

As usual, it’s never the guns. It’s always the pronouns, or the sexual orientation, or maybe that the shooter was an agnostic with tattoos and green hair. Anything to avoid the real debate this country needs to have about guns and how damn it easy for anyone to get one (or several) and start shooting.

But yeah, let’s blame the fucking pronouns. That’ll sure solve the problem.

‘Lower Than Low’ Don Jr. Says His Dad Was Indicted To Distract From The Nashville Shooting

Donald Trump Jr., the equally disgusting son of the failed one-term former president, wants us to believe that what bothers him most about his daddy being indicted in Manhattan is that it’s a distraction from the school shooting in Nashville that took place Monday and took the lives of six people, including three children. He even suggested that it was done deliberately for that very purpose.

@PatriotTakes caught the social media posting Don Jr. made and shared it along with this message, “Don Jr. reposted a tweet using pictures of child victims murdered in the Nashville school shooting to deflect against Trump’s indictment.”

So now we have the son of the disgraced ex-president trying to use a tragedy writ in blood for political purposes and so he can rile up the MAGA base, perhaps to engage in more violence as a response.

In the wake of the shooting, Don Jr. has also suggested that since the Nashville shooter was transgender, the entire trans community is culpable for the crime, HuffPost reported.

Donald Trump Jr., the eldest son of former President Donald Trump, suggested that “rather than talking about guns we should be talking about lunatics pushing their gender affirming bullshit on our kids?”

Junior’s father also joined the trans bashing, according to The Washington Post:

And former president Donald Trump on Wednesday, without evidence, also connected the Nashville shooting to hormone therapy and “the anger that was caused” during an interview with conservative talk radio host John Fredericks. Trump said he banned transgender people from serving in the military because “the amount of drugs they have to take is so incredible,” even though research and surveys show most transgender people do not undergo hormone therapy.

Don Jr. was slammed on social media for his disgusting tweet, with some noting that it was a new low even for a bottom feeder like Junior.

Lauren Boebert Says The Second Amendment Is Absolute Because ‘We’re Not A Democracy!’

With increasing calls for stronger gun safety legislation being heard across the country, Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) said Wednesday that the Second Amendment to the Constitution is absolute and new laws can’t be enacted because “we’re not a democracy.”

Boebert’s remarks came in response to comments made by Randi Weingarten, president of the American Federation of Teachers, who said at a meeting of the teacher’s union:

“Today, we renew our call for common sense gun safety legislation, including a ban on assault weapons. This is an epidemic.

“It’s an epidemic that our great nation must solve. And how many lives will be shattered before we have the courage to do what Scotland did, what Australia did, what New Zealand did, what other great democracies do? We must solve this epidemic, and that’s up to us.”

Scotland, Australia, and New Zealand all banned guns in the wake of mass shootings.

That led right-wing host Charlie Kirk to tell Boebert that what Weingarten was proposing is an appeal of the Second Amendment. Boebert agreed, noting:

“And, you know, maybe one of the things that we need to address with the Democrat party is, you played a clip from the teachers union with Randi there talking Maybe one thing we need to address is we’re not a democracy! So quit with that!

“Maybe that’s where you’re getting it wrong,. It’s saying that we are a democracy. We are a constitutional republic.”

Boebert then added this bit of dreck:

“And that is something that needs to be taught in our schools, not this woke critical race theory on how to hate our country and hate your fellow classmates and community members because of the color of their skin. Maybe teach a little honor and respect for our history and the correct history, rather than all this woke nonsense that produces the Ilhan Omars of the world.”

Of course, if Lauren had bothered to actually pay attention in the GED classes she struggled so mightily with, she’d know that the United States is a representative democracy.

Here’s the video of Boebert’s clueless rant:

Democrat Swats Down MT Greene On Guns: ‘You Guys Are Worried About Banning Books – Dead Kids Can’t Read!’

At a Committee on Oversight and Accountability hearing this week, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) got swatted down by Democratic Congressman Jared Moskowitz (FL) on the issue of guns, gun safety, and the mass shooting at a school in Nashville that left six dead, including three young children.

Moskowitz began by remarking:

“There are six people that are dead in that school including three children because you guys got rid of the assault weapons ban.
“Because you guys made it easy for people who don’t deserve to have weapons, who are mentally incapable of having weapons of war, being able to buy those weapons and go into schools.”

The Florida Democrat then noted the hearing itself was a joke with the GOP focusing on car theft and public urination in the District of Columbia:

“You guys want to talk about DC public schools and crime? I don’t I don’t want to burst your bubble over there, but mass murder in schools is crime.

“You want to talk about 1,300 cars being stolen, 550 people have been murdered in school. Who cares about the cars? What about the kids?”

Moskowitz continued:

“No hearing for them. 330,000 kids have experienced gun violence in this country. The number one killer of school aged children in this country. Gun violence. How do you think for the parents who have had to bury their kids who have had to decide what to put their kids clothes, but their kids when they buried them? Or kind of box they have to pick out for their child or for when they come home?”

When it was her time to speak, Greene began whining, “I was an 11th grade and Joe Biden made our school gun free school zones. One of the students in my school brought three guns to school and our entire school went on lockdown, because he was the only person with a gun. There was no good guy with a gun to protect us kids at school.”

She added:

“So, if you want to have a good talk about schools, and protecting children, we need to talk about protecting our children the same way we protect our president, the way we protect our celebrities.”

However, Congressman Moskowitz had the perfect retort to Greene’s claims:

“Did the good guys with the guns stop six people from getting murdered? No. But you know what? AR 15’s, have you ever seen what those bullets do to children? You know why you don’t hunt with an AR 15 with a deer, because there’s nothing left. And there’s nothing left as these kids when people go into school and murder them while they’re trying to read.

“You guys are worried about banning books – dead kids can’t read.”

If guns were the solution to crime the way Republicans claim, wouldn’t the United States be the safest country on the planet? It isn’t, and the proliferation of guns is a big part of the problem.

Tennessee Republican Says The Only Thing That Will Stop Mass Shootings Is Christian ‘Revival’

Despite overwhelming evidence that the proliferation of weapons of mass murder in the United States is directly responsible for the horrific number of mass shootings in this country, Republicans in Congress are suggesting that what we really need to combat the problem is a “revival” among Christians.

Yeah, because all those “thoughts and prayers” are doing such a great job, huh?

Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) was asked about the latest school shooting on Monday that left three children and three adults dead, but he made clear that restrictions such as a ban on assault weapons wouldn’t do any good. Only God can solve the problem, according to Burchett.

A reporter asked Burchett, “Do you think there’s any role for Congress to play in reaction to this tragedy? Obviously this is your state now but it’s happened in every state.”

The congressman replied:

“It doesn’t matter what state it’s happened in. We’re all Americans. Doesn’t matter the color of their skin, they all bleed red, they’re bleeding a lot. I don’t see any real role we could do other than mess things up, honestly, because of the situation. Like I said, I don’t think a criminal’s gonna stop from guns. you can print them out on the computer, 3D now. I don’t think you’re going to stop the gun violence. You’ve got to change people’s hearts. As a Christian, as we talk about in church, I’ve said this many times we need a revival in this country.”

Yeah, great. But what if you happen to be Jewish? Or Muslim? Or even an atheist? How is all that “revival” going to help your kids stay safe when they go to school?

Oh, and one other thing: Burchett clearly doesn’t believe in the power of prayer and revival, because guess where his kids go to school? They’re homeschooled, as he made sure and mentioned.

“Well, we homeschool her, but you know, that’s our decision. Some people don’t have that option and frankly, some people don’t need to do it. I mean, they don’t have to. It just suited our needs much better.”

Actually, most people don’t have that option. Most working couples have to go to jobs from 9 to 5 every day and can’t be home to school their children. Instead, they have to worry all day that they’ll get the phone call every parent fears most: Your child was gunned down in the latest mass shooting.

What we need more than a Christian revival is a revival of common sense and doing what’s best for everyone, not just for the gun lobby and the Republican Party that gorges on their campaign contributions.
