Lauren Boebert: There’s No Need To Use Birth Control – ‘It’s Cheaper To Have A Kid’

It’s been clear for quite some time now that Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) isn’t exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer, but something she said during a House Oversight Committee hearing on the price of prescription drugs, the Colorado Republican uttered what may well go down in U.S. history as one of the dumbest things ever said by a member of Congress.

According to Boebert, “I left a prescription at a pharmacy once. I went to get birth control, and I was there at the counter and went to pay for it, and the price was very, very high. I said, wow, is this a three six-month prescription? ‘No, ma’am, this is one month.'”

“And I said, it’s cheaper to have a kid. And I left it there, and now I have my third son.”

Just for shits and giggles, let’s take Bobo’s bullshit comment and do a quick fact-check on it.

According to a 2022 Washington Post report, it costs about $17,000 a year to raise a child.

Raising a child is expensive. From the day your baby is born until the day they turn 18, your family will spend about $310,605 — or about $17,000 a year, according to a new Brookings Institution analysis of data from the U.S. Agriculture Department.

The exact amount will vary depending on how much you earn and where you live. Families in the urban Northeast typically spend the most, for example, while those in the urban Midwest and rural areas spend the least. And while families with lower incomes spend less overall, government studies show they devote a larger share of their budgets to their children.

The cost of birth control, on the other hand, can run as high as $2,000 a year, with Healthline noting, “It’s no secret that birth control is expensive. Whether you go with the pill, the ring, the patch, or another method, the cost of birth control can range up to $2,000 per year.”

Let’s see: $17,000 a year vs. $2,000 a year. That’s one hell of a difference, and it easily disproves Bobert’s moronic statement that she found it cheaper to raise a child than pay for birth control.

Twitter also had some mockery for Boebert.

WATCH A Biden Administration Official Humiliate Lauren Boebert For Asking Dumb Questions

During a congressional hearing, Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) once again proved just how unfit she is to be an elected representative while also burnishing her credentials as a complete imbecile.

White House Budget Director Shalanda Young was testifying when Boebert’s time to ask questions came and she let rip with this:

“How long will you be ceding the southern border to the cartels?”

Young politely pointed out that the Trump administration had recklessly diverted funds from the U.S. military to use for border control, which was a mistake:

“We are returning the billions of dollars that were taken from our men and women and troops in uniform for the southern border work. So this administration is returning Department of Defense money that bipartisan members decried.”

Boebert frantically told Young:

“Reclaiming my time! We’re not talking about the funding that was taken away. Right now, we are paying contractors to not build [the border wall]. I asked you how long will you be ceding the southern border to the cartels? That is my question to you, Director.”

Once more, Young calmly explained the situation to Boebert:

“Given the bipartisan concern, I thought it was important to highlight that. And to also highlight that we are moving away from an unsustainable border wall that has not worked to technology — as you pointed out…”

Boebert rudely interrupted:

“Reclaiming my time! I need you to answer the question that I’m asking you. This is my time. How long will you be ceding our southern border to the cartels?”

That’s when Young managed to completely shut down and humiliate Boebert by telling her:

“That’s not a question with an assumption I’m going to assume. So we can certainly talk about the reassessment of the border.”

All Boebert could do at that point was whine:

“My time is up!

If only Lauren Boebert’s time in the U.S. Congress was up, too. Voters in her district can rectify that in next year’s election.

Here’s the video of Lauren Boebert making a horse’s ass out of herself:

Marjorie Taylor Greene Floats Her Plans For The Future: ‘Is It Possible I’ll Be VP?’

Georgia Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene says that her political future may include being named as a running mate for Donald Trump or seeking a seat in the U.S. Senate.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Greene was furious with Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp (R) for declaring that the 2020 election had been fairly decided and Trump had lost both the Peach State and the presidency.

“His message should have been against this, not arguing with President Trump about the election and making it about his own ego and pride over Georgia’s election,” Greene remarked. “That’s a bad statement, and I was very upset over it.”

When the topic turned to her plans for the future, Greene had this to say:

“I haven’t made up my mind whether I will do that or not. I have a lot of things to think about. Am I going to be a part of President Trump’s Cabinet if he wins? Is it possible that I’ll be VP?”

How’s that for a terrifying future scenario? Just imagine for a second the thought of Marjorie Taylor Greene being a heartbeat away from having control of the U.S. nuclear arsenal.

If you need a reason to vote like your life depends on it in 2024, look no further than the specter of Marjorie Taylor Greene in higher political office.

Marjorie Taylor Greene’s ‘Disrespectful’ US Flag Tweet Gets Her Shredded On Social Media

While she claims to be a loyal and patriotic American who is dedicated to the MAGA (Make America Great Again) political ethos espoused by disgraced former president Donald Trump, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) posted a tweet this morning that suggests she’s only onboard with being a patriot when everything goes her way.

As Newsweek notes, Greene was clearly distressed by the far-reaching racketeering indictment handed down Monday evening by a Fulton County, Georgia grand jury and announced by the county district attorney Fani Willis.

The indictment hit the former president with 13 felony charges, including violating Georgia’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act, solicitation of violation of oath by a public officer, filing false documents, and multiple conspiracy counts.

Eighteen of his allies were also indicted, including Rudy GiulianiSidney Powell, and John Eastman. Trump has until Friday to surrender himself to authorities in Georgia for arraignment. He has long maintained his innocence against all of the legal cases mounting against him and dismissed them as politically motivated, as have many of his supporters.

Greene posted this in response to the indictment:

Flying the American flag upside down is a signal of distress, and it’s illegal under federal law.

Also, given that Greene has viciously attacked anyone who refuses to stand for the flag or National Anthem, it’s more than a tad hypocritical of her to use the flag in such a manner, as many reminded her on Twitter.

Lauren Boebert Gets Pilloried On Social Media After Trying To Blame Maui Fires On Joe Biden

As she’s done countless times in the past, Colorado Republican Congresswoman Lauren Boebert proved yet again this weekend that there truly is no depth she won’t descend to in order to prove both her stupidity and her hatred for anyone who dares to disagree with her politically.

Boebert made a posting a Twitter that quickly got her lit up for both her dishonesty and lack of empathy for survivors of a natural disaster in Hawaii.

“There is a total crisis in Maui. 3000 destroyed homes. 80 people dead. Where’s Joe Biden? On vacation of course. There is no bottom for this president.”

But a quick fact check makes it clear that Boebert is lying, with CNN reporting:

President Joe Biden issued a federal disaster declaration following “devastating” Hawaii wildfires across several parts of the Big Island and Maui and promised to send whatever is needed to help the recovery.

The fires have killed at least 36 people and devastated Lahaina, a town on the island of Maui. Speaking at an unrelated event in Utah on Thursday, Biden said the federal government is moving fast in its response.

“We’re working as quickly as possible to fight those fires and evacuate residents and tourists. In the meantime, our prayers are with the people of Hawaii, but not just our prayers: every asset that we have will be available to them,” Biden said as he began remarks at a Veterans Affairs medical center in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Boebert’s comments didn’t sit well with many on Twitter, who fired back at her.
