It’s been a little while since we last heard from former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee, and that’s certainly a good thing, because he almost never has anything productive to say.
But Huckabee is back, and he tried to float a moronic conspiracy theory about Donald Trump and the 2020 election which only served to leave him with egg on his face.
Huckabee sent out this tweet suggesting that Trump won the state of Georgia, even though three recounts suggested otherwise:
But as Stephen Fowler of Georgia Public Broadcasting pointed out, the numbers don’t add up:
That led to the former governor getting a thorough mocking on social media:
Former Trump administration national security adviser Michael Flynn doesn’t have to worry about going to prison for lying under oath thanks to a pardon from his good friend, failed, one-term president Donald Trump, but that doesn’t mean he’s going to get off scot-free for playing footsie with the Russians.
According to the Washington Post, the U.S. Army is looking to punish Flynn for his failure to reveal that he received $45,000 from a Kremlin-controlled media organization. In return for the money, Flynn agreed to sit next to Russian president Vladimir Putin at a dinner held in 2015:
“The investigation focuses on Flynn’s acceptance of money from Russian and Turkish interests before joining the Trump administration, a potential violation of the Constitution’s emoluments clause. With few exceptions, U.S. officials, including retired service members like Flynn, are prohibited from accepting money or gifts from foreign governments. Flynn retired from the Army as a three-star general in 2014.”
Army officials are also said to be upset by Flynn’s remarks about the 2020 election being stolen from Trump. Flynn even went so far as to suggest that Trump — acting as commander in chief — could declare martial law and order a “redo” of the election in key swing states where President Joe Biden triumphed over Trump.
If they choose, the Army could penalize Flynn financially:
In other words, all of the money Flynn earned working for Russia or other countries would have to be paid back to the Pentagon because he failed to disclose the payments he received.
Considering all the harm Flynn has done to the United States, it’s a shame the Army can’t just lock him up and also collect the ill-gotten money.
Even though he will go down in history as a failed, one-term president who was the only man in U.S. history to be impeached not once, but TWICE, there remain many Republicans who still retain their slavish devotion to Donald Trump.
One of those badly deluded idiots is Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) who seems to get weak in the knees anytime the Donald opens his fat mouth and pukes out more hatred and derision.
Gaetz is still kissing Trump’s fat ass, firing off a tweet that’s little more than a sycophantic cry for help:
Gold standard? Just because Trump has gaudy gold fixtures in his bathroom doesn’t mean he’s actually accomplished anything. He sure as hell didn’t do anything productive as president, managing to destroy the economy with his half-assed response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Silver Alert? What does that even mean? Sounds like Gaetz is trying to make fun of Biden’s age, but the current president just signed a historic $1.9 relief bill that will put money in the pockets of Americans and help give a boost to the economy.
It didn’t take long before Gaetz was hit with a tsunami of mockery and riducule:
New evidence has been released that shows former President Donald Trump has indeed been engaged in racketeering and could now be facing at least 20 years behind bars.
The Wall Street Journalreports that a new audio recording has come to light in which Trump is heard talking to the lead investigator working for the office of Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger:
“Then-President Donald Trump urged the chief investigator of the Georgia Secretary of State’s office to look for fraud during an audit of mail-in ballots in a suburban Atlanta county on a phone call he made to her in late December.
“During the six-minute call, which was reviewed by The Wall Street Journal, Mr. Trump repeatedly said that he won Georgia. ‘Something bad happened,’ he said.
“’When the right answer comes out, you’ll be praised,’ Mr. Trump told the chief investigator, Frances Watson.”
John Dean, who served as White House counsel in the Nixon administration, said Wednesday evening that the new audio is very bad news for Trump because it proves he was indeed involved in a criminal act:
“There may be other calls that were recorded and what they’re looking for is part of the RICO case they’re developing now that the Fulton County prosecutor has hired the best expert in the state who helped her with a prior RICO case. RICO cases are very serious. These are stack-on lots of penalties. So, I think that’s the case they’re building. These phone calls that they have multiple records of now, are going to be dynamite.”
The penalty for racketeering in Georgia is imprisonment for as long as 20 years.
Trump is also being investigated in New York, where at least one grand jury has been impaneled to determine if indictments should be issued against the former president for financial crimes such as insurance and tax fraud.
Things are getting worse for Donald Trump by the hour.
Another of Jeffrey Epstein’s former pimps who acquired underage girls for the late sexual predator has been taken into custody in Paris, The Daily Beast reports:
“Jean-Luc Brunel, a French modeling agent and close ally and alleged pimp to late sexual predator Jeffrey Epstein, is in custody in Paris after attempting to board a flight to Dakar in Senegal. Paris prosecutors say he was taken into custody for rape, sexual assault against minors, sexual harassment, criminal conspiracy, and trafficking in human beings, according to Le Parisien newspaper.”
Brunel has been charged in the United States with rape and procuring young girls for Epstein, and had extensive connections to him:
The arrest of Brunel could not possibly come at a worse time for Donald Trump, who was also a close associate of Epstein’s and was accused of repeatedly raping a 13-year-old girl with the convicted sex offender, before those charges were later withdrawn, reportedly when the victim was threatened.
Now that Trump is no longer be president, he can be indicted on both federal and state charges for any crimes he may have committed, including ones connected to Epstein.
If Brunel cooperates with prosecutors in whatever jurisdiction winds up charging him, he might be willing to make a deal with prosecutors and testify against others who sexually assaulted young girls with Epstein, including Trump.
Everything is falling apart for the Donald. And it couldn’t possibly happen to a more deserving person.
