Eric Swalwell Slams Kevin McCarthy To His Face: ‘You Are A P*ssy’

During the GOP-led censure of Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) in June, his fellow California Democrat Eric Swalwell let Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) know exactly what he thought about him, and it nearly led to blows on the floor of the House of Representatives, according to a report from The Daily Beast.

Matt Fuller notes, “Democrats stood on the House floor and shouted ‘Shame!’ at their GOP colleagues. As the spectacle was taking place, one of the leaders of the demonstration, Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA), was standing in the well of the House near the speaker’s podium and delivered some harsh words to his fellow Californian. ‘This is pathetic,’ Swalwell allegedly told McCarthy, who was presiding over the House at the time. ‘You’re weak. You’re a weak man.'”

Fast-forward to the next day, and McCarthy decided he was man enough to confront Swalwell.

McCarthy: “If you ever say something like that to me again, I’m gonna kick the sh*t out of you.

Swalwell: “Are we really gonna do this?”

McCarthy: “Call me a p*ssy again, and I’ll kick your ass.”

Swalwell: “You. Are. A. P*ssy.”

The Speaker has a longstanding contentious relationship with Swalwell and even removed him from the House Intelligence Committee after the GOP narrowly won control of the House in the 2022 midterm elections. Many saw the move as payback for Swalwell’s calls for the two impeachments of failed, disgraced former president Donald Trump.

Former White House Aide: Kevin McCarthy Considers Trump ‘A Buffoon And A Danger’

Even though he continues to publicly pledge his fealty to failed one-term, twice-indicted former president Donald Trump, Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) secretly loathes Trump and considers him a danger to the country, according to a former Trump aide.

Miles Taylor, former chief of staff for the Department of Homeland Security, told The Guardian that he too had once believed Trump wasn’t a threat to the United States, but he quickly changed his mind and began speaking out publicly.

“The flirtation with putting another hyper-populist far-right person in the White House is effectively civic suicidal ideation,” Taylor said. “In the course of writing this, the personal guardrails being ripped off in my life looked an awful lot like what’s happening right now where our collective silence, at least in the Republican Party, about this guy is leading us potentially towards self-destruction.”

Taylor added, “Now, that’s not to say that there aren’t people sounding the alarm but, by and large, the leading figures of the Republican Party refuse to repudiate this man and continue to support him. We are doing this again, even though those people say privately he’s a threat.”

In his book, Blowback: A Warning to Save Democracy from the Next Trump, that has been released today, Taylor explains McCarthy’s view of Trump.

“He thought Trump was a buffoon and a danger, and I’m sure Kevin still thinks that privately. Those people publicly, because they’re afraid, are still supporting the man. That collective anonymity is putting us in pretty seriously great danger.”

There are other Republicans in Congress who feel the same way, according to Taylor, but they too are afraid to say so publicly.

“Some of the people who were incredibly critical of me for publishing anonymous critiques of the president are the same people who, when I interviewed them, asked that I not use their names so that they could speak candidly,” Taylor said. “They asked if they could be anonymous in the book. You can’t even make that sh*t up: that’s insane hypocrisy.”

“After I submitted to the publisher, I went back to some of these people multiple times and said, ‘I really think you should consider letting me put you on the record here, let’s make this an opportunity for you to be on the record pushing back against this,’” Taylor said. “‘Oh, no, no, no, no. It doesn’t make sense right now. I’m better positioned in my job in Congress or within the party to steer the direction.’”

Anyone who values democracy needs to speak out, Taylor insists.

“To them I would say: I thought the same thing and was completely f*cking wrong because we weren’t able to steer in the right direction. Look, you guys aren’t having an effect. He’s still dominating. Stop fooling yourselves. The best impact you can have will be to speak out from within the tribe because it is air cover for other people to do the same. I’m afraid we’re sleepwalking back into the exact same mistakes we made last time and that’s why I called this Blowback.”

Twitter Erupts With Mockery After Kevin McCarthy Declares ‘We Don’t Want Disneyland To Train Our Military’

Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) says he has an important message he wants to share with the American people: He will never allow the United States military to be trained by Disneyland.

You may now laugh and shake your head, because that’s exactly what Kevin deserves.

The House speaker made that very ― sorry, can’t help it ― goofy promise Friday after the chamber passed the 2024 National Defense Authorization Act, which raises pay for service members by 5.2% while also blocking abortion coverage, Pentagon diversity initiatives and transgender health care. After the Senate passes its own version of the bill, a compromise will have to be reached on the final legislation, HuffPost reports.

“We don’t want Disneyland to train our military,” the California Republican said, touting the bill’s passage in the House. He added on Twitter that the legislation “ENDS the wokism in the military.”

Other than McCarthy’s ludicrous comments, be sure and note when you watch the video the reaction of the two fellow Republican House members standing on either side of the Speaker. They look like they’re about to fall asleep or start laughing uncontrollably.

Fortunately, one thing did come out of the ridiculous legislation and McCarthy’s remarks: The hilarious mockery he received on Twitter.

Fox News Lies GOP Kevin McCarthy

Kevin McCarthy Calls Out Maria Bartiromo For Lying: ‘You’re Saying Things That Are Not True’

We saw something today that millions of us never thought possible: A high-ranking Republican member of Congress went on Fox and actually told the host that she was lying about what she said.

Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) was a guest on “Sunday Morning Futures” when the host, Maria Bartiromo, began criticizing him for the debt ceiling bill President Joe Biden signed on Saturday.

“I want to go through some of the criticism of this bill because some people say it really was different,” she whined, complaining that the bill failed to eliminate funding for 87,000 new IRS agents. She also noted that she was upset the GOP didn’t get work requirements for Medicaid recipients.

But McCarthy was having none of it, telling Bartiromo, “Well, that’s not true, Maria. Maria, Maria, you’re saying things that are not true.”

“We repealed the 1.4 billion they would spend on hiring new [IRS] agents this year, so no new agents are being hired,” he added. “This is scored as the largest cut.”

McCarthy also bragged that he was proud of the fact that both Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) voted against the final debt ceiling package.

“Did we get it in everything?” he added. “No, but we got [work requirements] in welfare that puts people back to work, the core of what we looked for.”

A clearly annoyed Bartiromo retorted, “To be clear, the bulk of that money is still in the bill that the president signed.”

“OK, Maria, Maria, pause for one moment,” McCarthy explained. “Maria, pause for one moment. That was already in law. We do not have the Senate. We do not have the presidency. But we just stopped them from hiring any IRS agents.”

How does a Fox host know she’s a lying liar? When then top House Republican tells her to her face.

Marjorie Taylor Greene Pays $100,000 To Purchase Used Chapstick That Belonged To Kevin McCarthy

For some reason known only to her, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has just paid $100,000 to obtain a chchapstick that once belonged to Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy (R-CA).

According to Olivia Beavers of Politico, House Republicans had a fundraising auction on Tuesday morning and one of the items up for bid was the McCarthy chapstick.

“NEW: During GOP conference today, House Rs did about a 15-min fundraising auction for chapstick used by Speaker McCarthy. The winner: Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), whose winning bid was $100,000, her Spox confirms to me.”

“Others bid on it as well, but MTG ultimately won: And as bidding went on, McCarthy would sweeten the deal, throwing in agreeing to attend a dinner with donors/supporters for whoever wins.”

Keep in mind that Republicans in Congress are currently holding the entire country hostage with their absurd demands for massive cuts to the federal budget before they agree to raise the debt ceiling, but they still had time for a frivolous fundraiser.

Also, where in the hell did Greene get 100K to buy a damn chapstick? Is she using her taxpayer-funded salary to make that bid, or did she get the cash from a donor?

Twitter users had some thoughts on the matter, too.
