Marjorie Taylor Greene Accidentally Admits The Jan. 6 Capitol Attack Was An Act Of ‘War’

Whoever has the unenviable job of legally representing Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is probably pulling out his or her hair right now thanks to something the congresswoman said that clearly shows she knew the January 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol was an act of war.

Greene — along with fellow GOP simpleton Rep. Louie Gohmert (TX) showed up today at the office of Muriel Bowser, the Mayor of the District of Columbia, ostensibly to whine about some of the 1/6 defendants who are being held at jails in the District.

But it was what Greene said as part of her blatant publicity stunt that directly implicates her and others in what transpired on that fateful day of Jan. 6:

“You need to give us a visit. You owe this to all of the people that we represent across the country, and then this city needs cleaned up. There’s homeless people all over the city. Crime is out of control, and it has a jail that is clearly a dangerous place for people to be because they’re dying last week, and then these pre-trial January 6th defendants have been held for months on end being abused as political prisoners of war not only by federal judges, prosecutors, the Department of Justice but also by the DC jail.”

Being abused as political prisoners of war, are they? Then that means they took part in what they damn well knew was a militant act, which is just another way of saying a war.

Not only does the video of Greene talking about “war” implicate her in the actions of the insurrectionists, it also serves as evidence that can be used against the very people she says she cares so much about.

Of course, Greene doesn’t give a diddly damn about any of the saps who are now facing time in prison for the disgusting things they did on Jan. 6. She just wants a few minutes of publicity she can use to raise money and boost her bid for another term in Congress.

Oh, and as for that second term in office. There’s news to report on that front, too.

A group of voters has renewed their challenge to her appearing on the ballot, according to the Georgia Recorder:

Free Speech for People, a nonprofit legal advocacy organization representing the challengers, filed an appeal with the Fulton County Superior Court Monday, arguing that the court made several errors in the case.

Typically, when a candidate’s eligibility is challenged in Georgia, it is a question of whether the candidate meets the age or residency requirements to run, and the candidate must simply provide their birth certificate or proof of residency. Since Greene’s case is more complicated, the court ruled that the burden of proof should be on the challengers.

That was a mistake, the challengers argue, because evidence necessary to determine Greene’s eligibility was in her control, but the judge blocked their request for discovery.

Greene’s statement at the office of Mayor Bowser can also be used in the challenge to have her removed from the ballot, and that could prove to be big trouble for the congresswoman.

Former Employees Call Lauren Boebert A ‘Monster’ And A Failure As A Business Owner

Before she became one of the most controversial and useless members of Congress ever elected, Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) owned a restaurant named Shooters located in Rifle, Colorado, where the servers have long been encouraged to openly carry firearms in imitation of their employer, who does the same and absolutely loves to pose for photos with a holstered gun on her jeans.

Boebert has created a sort of self-made mythology around herself, suggesting that she rose from nothing and started a successful establishment, realizing the American Dream and determined to make sure others can do the same.

But based on what former Shooters employees told Abigail Weinberg of Mother Jones, the restaurant is a financial disaster and their former boss is almost impossible to work with or for, which seems to presage the lack of legislative accomplishments for Boebert over the last two years in office.

According to the report, Shooters sounds less like a business than someone trying to play make-believe and pretend she’s successful when the opposite is true:

“Multiple employees say that they were paid in cash, either out of the register or from Boebert’s husband’s wallet, without any taxes deducted. While many workers were struggling to make ends meet, they say Boebert spent exorbitant sums on breast implants, private schooling for her sons, and a new Cadillac Escalade. They describe her as alternately absent, showing up only when news crews were at the restaurant.”

Speaking of news crews, once the media spotlight made Boebert a household name in Colorado, that’s when Bad Lauren reared her ugly head, a former waitress noted:

“The second the restaurant blew up, her head blew up, and it became something entirely different. And I got to meet a new version of her that is a monster.”

And while Boebert pretended to be a believer in gun safety to counter her rabid devotion to the Second Amendment, she was anything but diligent about obeying both the written and unwritten tenets of responsible gun ownership:

Boebert insisted in her television appearances that gun safety was paramount, telling CNN, “There’s no accidents that are gonna happen…There’s no reason a waitress is ever allowed to unholster.” Most workers describe Boebert as consistently safe with guns. Still, one worker says safety was “not how it was perceived on TV.” Another claims that Boebert pointed a loaded gun at him when he said that he would have voted for Obama for a third term. “She would tell it like a joke,” he tells me. “She thought it was hilarious.”

To this day, Shooters barely manages to stay afloat, and Boebert admits in her congressional disclosures that the restaurant lost $143,000 in 2019 and $226,000 in 2020. How’s that for the American Dream come true? Sounds more like a nightmare.

Shooters is such a failure that Boebert reportedly can only pay salaries when her husband gets his paycheck from work he does in the oil and gas business:

Employees tell me they believed that Boebert’s husband, who works as a consultant in the oil and gas industry, was keeping the company afloat. “There were times when we were waiting for him to get his check, so that way she could get us our check,” one former employee says. According to Boyington, “He’s the one who paid the rent, all the bills, everything.”

The bottom line is that Lauren Boebert is a failure at everything she’s ever attempted other than convincing the voters of her district that she’d be a success when all she’s ever been is a massive failure and con woman. No wonder she’s such a huge fan of failed, one-term former President Donald Trump.

GOP Primary Opponent Destroys Marjorie Taylor Greene In Contentious Debate

One of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s (R-GA) GOP primary opponents took her to task for not having accomplished anything during her two years in office, noting that about all she’s good for is running her mouth and causing controversy.

Candidate Seth Synstelien told Greene:

“We’re all here because we have concerns about the seat. See, you bought contractor stock before railing against profitable wars. Your words and actions are consistently inconsistent. No bill you’ve authored has passed and you have no committee power to advocate for this district.”

Synstelien then challenged Greene to answer a question:

“Without resorting to rhetoric about Democrat boogeymen, Biden and the woke left, answer this: Can you tell us one or two specific objectives that affect our wallets that you can actually pass and explain how you plan to get it done without being guaranteed a committee assignment?”

Greene replied:

“Now, here’s what we have to do. You have to understand and remember. Democrats are in control in Washington right now. Republicans aren’t getting anything done — even the Republicans on committees aren’t getting anything done. And if they were, you wouldn’t see the radical destruction of America going on right now, our wide-open borders. We are having inflation out of control and we are no longer energy independent as Americans.”

The congresswoman also claimed that if Republicans retake the House, she’ll be much more influential and able to help the district:

“So what I look forward to doing is when we take back the House, I’ll have great committee assignments. Kevin McCarthy and leadership have already promised them to me. And we look forward to holding Democrats accountable for all the corruption and horrible things they’ve done in our country.”

That’s when Synstelien burned Greene down with this counterpoint:

“That’s too big an if. Voting for Ms. Greene is a gamble as she’s not guaranteed committee power. She’s not even accountable for her own tweets or her staff’s. We’re still not clear on who is acting on the district’s behalf. So, how can anyone expect her to bring accountability to Washington?

“Her only leadership trait right now is rallying people against an enemy. And little to none of what she just said encourages business in our district or fights out-of-control inflation.”

There’s no guarantee that Greene will win the GOP nomination. She’s very unpopular and, as her opponent noted, has done little more during her two year in office than run her mouth and alienate both Democrats and Republicans alike.

Legal Experts: Marjorie Taylor Greene Committed Perjury Numerous Times Today

Today in Atlanta, an administrative hearing was held to determine if Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is indeed an insurrectionist and should be removed from the November ballot.

On dozens of occasions, Greene said she didn’t remember or didn’t recall when she was asked questions by an attorney representing Free Speech for People and voters in Greene’s congressional district who brought the challenge to her candidacy as she seeks reelection.

According to the Washington Post:

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, testifying Friday about her alleged role in the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol as part of a case seeking to disqualify her from seeking reelection, said she could not remember whether she urged President Donald Trump to impose martial law as a way to remain in power.

“I don’t recall,” Greene (R-Ga.) said in response to questioning by an attorney representing the plaintiffs in the case.

“So you’re not denying you did it?” asked the attorney, Andrew G. Celli Jr. “You just don’t remember.”

“I don’t remember,” Greene replied.

Unfortunately for Greene, however, she didn’t maintain that lack of recall when it came to all of the questions she was asked, and that led her to commit perjury on numerous occasions, according to legal experts who watched the congresswoman’s testimony.

The most egregious examples of Greene allegdly lying under oath were when she was asked about postings made on her social media accounts, insisting that she didn’t remember certain tweets in which she called for Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi to be killed.

Minutes later, however, Greene suddenly had perfect recall and was able to remember things she had posted online. So was the she lying when she didn’t recall or when she did? Either way, she lied under oath, which is a crime and set off calls for her to be prosecuted for perjury.

Elie Mystal of The Nation wondered, “Who is handling the upcoming MTG perjury prosecution?”

Others also had thoughts on the lies Greene allegedly told while under oath:

FYI: Perjury is a felony in the state of Georgia and is punishable by a fine of $1,000 or by a prison term between 1 and 10 years, or both.

Margie better hope she has a damn good attorney on retainer.

‘Coded’ Tweet From Greene Will Be What Gets Her Booted Off November Ballot: Attorney

Last Friday, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) had to testify under oath about what role she played in the January 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol in response to a lawsuit seeking to keep her off the November ballot.

What are the chances Greene will be prevented from running for reelection? According to attorney Ron Fein, a “coded” tweet Greene sent is the smoking gun which will prove the case against her.

Fein was a guest on MSNBC and told host Ayman Mohyeldin:

“She worked with the planners of some of the events of Jan. 6th and then the day before the attack, she signaled to her followers a code word, meant to storm federal buildings and supposedly overthrow tyrants. So, we are going to ask her about all of that and more.”

That coded tweet Greene sent referred to refusing to certify the Electoral College vote as a “1776 moment,” Fein explained.

The complaint against Greene cites that tweet:

“‘1776’ was used as a codeword for violence in the run-up to January 6. For instance, Ali Alexander, a violent extremist who listed Representative Greene as a speaker at his January 6 event, and referred to Greene as a ‘friend,’ replied to a tweet by Greene on December 30, 2020, promising that ‘1776 is *always* an option’ if objections to certification were blocked. The responses indicate it was understood as a call to storm the Capitol.”

Later in that same legal document is this paragraph:

“Alexander increasingly used references to ‘1776’ between December 30 and January 6 as a call for violence if Trump was not installed as president for another four years. By this time, it was well known that events Alexander planned and promoted developed into violence. Similarly, Enrique Tarrio, until recently the leader of the ‘Proud Boys,’ had on hand a detailed plan for the far-right extremist group to distract police, swarm federal buildings, and obstruct their functioning. The title of the document describing the plan was ‘1776 Returns.’”

The tweet and surrounding documentation, according to the lawsuit, are proof of Greene’s participation in an insurrection against the government:

“Specifically, her remarks had the intent and effect of signaling to her supporters that she was calling not for peaceful protest, but for violent resistance, to a peaceful transfer of power to the president-elect, in defiance of the Constitution.”

Here’s Ron Fein on MSNBC:
