WATCH Fox’s Jennifer Griffin Call Out Sean Hannity For Spreading Russian Propaganda

Fox News host Sean Hannity got fact-checked to his face Wednesday evening when he tried to spread Russian propaganda about the United States having built “biowarfare” labs in Ukraine, which forced Vladimir Putin to launch an invasion of the country.

Specifically, Hannity referenced Soviet-era bioweapons research labs that were constructed in Ukraine, remarking that “we never got clarity” about what became of those facilities:

“Jennifer, but we do know that Victoria Nuland admitted that labs existed. What exactly they’re for, we never got clarity on, correct?”

That’s when Fox Pentagon correspondent Jennifer Griffin called Hannity out for being duped into parroting Russian lies:

“Well, we do have clarity, I have a fact sheet—that’s what I was just reading—from the Pentagon. It is a long program that has existed where the Pentagon has partnered with these biolabs. These were Soviet-era labs that—remember the Nunn-Lugar Bill and trying to deal with proliferation when the Soviet Union ended—that is part of this effort to try to clean up those Soviet-era labs and make sure that nothing escapes from those labs. And so the U.S. has been very open about its involvement there with that. But what Russia does is they take that information, distort it, turn it around, and turn it into disinformation, and that is what has U.S. government officials concerned.”

This is just the most recent instance of Griffin pushing back on lies being broadcast by Fox hosts who seem bound and determined to take the side of Russia, ABC News notes:

Griffin, who has reported for Fox News Channel since 1996, has attracted attention over the past two weeks as she has publicly corrected or contradicted several Fox analysts and hosts on the air about the crisis in Ukraine. When Tucker Carlson suggested this week that some reporters are acting as flacks for the Pentagon, some interpreted that as a criticism of his colleague.

Foreign Policy Fox News Lies Russia WTF?!

Tucker Carlson Is Now Trying To Blame The Russian Invasion Of Ukraine On…The United States?!

When Russia first invaded Ukraine a couple of weeks ago, Fox News host Tucker Carlson tried desperately to make excuses for the naked aggression of Russian mass murderer Vladimir Putin.

But when polling revealed that Americans universally despised Putin and his attack on Ukraine, Carlson began looking for other ways to frame the issue, suggesting that it was the fault of the Biden administration’s energy policy, which was also met with skepticism by the public.

So Carlson has now shifted his ranting points yet again, and come across this conclusion: The United States itself is to blame because politicians want to go to war with Russia.

HuffPost notes that Carlson was pushing that asinine theory on his show Monday evening:

“Kamala Harris encouraged Ukraine to become a member of NATO. Quote, ‘I appreciate and admire President Zelenskyy’s desire to join NATO.’

“Message: Up yours, Vladimir Putin, go ahead and invade Ukraine. And, of course, Vladimir Putin did that just days later. So the invasion was no surprise to the Biden administration. They knew that would happen. That was the point of the exercise.

“We watched all this happen, we missed it. How? Honestly because it was insane and therefore very hard to take seriously. Why in the world would the United States intentionally seek war with Russia? How could we possibly benefit from that war? We still don’t know the answer to that question.”

They knew that would happen. Really, Tucker? That’s what your going with? Because it sounds more like something you’d hear from a tinfoil hat wearing loon standing in Times Square and clutching a tattered Bible as he proclaims the end of the world is nigh.

Ukraine should have the right to join NATO. If Putin doesn’t like that, too damn bad. He doesn’t set policy for the NATO alliance. Or at least he doesn’t now that Donald Trump is no longer in the White House and doing whatever his “genius” buddy Vlad orders.

By extension, it can be implied that Carlson (and Fox News) thinks that you and I are also culpable for the invasion of Ukraine. If we support NATO and Ukraine, then we triggered Putin to do what he did.

You’d think it’d be difficult for Tucker Carlson to speak with so much bullshit in his mouth. But he’s so used to lying that it comes naturally for him.

Hillary Silences Fox News – Network Stops Saying She ‘Spied’ On Trump After She Threatens Legal Action

For most of the week, Fox News has been in a full-blown lather on the topic of how Hillary Clinton “spied” on Donald Trump, even after he was president.

For example, there’s this bit of verbal dreck that came from Fox host Jesse Watters, who wouldn’t know a fact if it walked up and kicked him in the shin while wearing hobnail boots:

“Durham’s documents show that Hillary Clinton hired people who hacked into Trump’s home and office computers before and during his presidency, and planted evidence that he colluded with Russia.

“Yeah. You heard that right. Hillary broke into a presidential candidate’s computer server and a sitting president’s computer server, spying on them. There, her hackers planted evidence, fabricated evidence connecting Trump to Russia, then fed that doctored material to the feds and the media.”

Yeah. Only problem is, as Mediaite notes, it’s about as factual as what they try to sell you down at the local Scientology center:

(Special Counsel John) Durham’s filing did not show this – at all. What’s more, as New York Times reporter Charlie Savage pointed out, the right-wing media narrative surrounding the filing was “mostly wrong or old news.” Indeed, the Times had reported on it last year.

On Thursday, Clinton even mentioned the entire hullabaloo in a speech she gave to the New York State Democratic Convention:

“Fox leads the charge with accusations against me, counting on their audience to fall for it again. And as an aside, they’re getting awfully close to actual malice in their attacks. But as I said, don’t get distracted.”

Clinton’s use of the words “actual malice” is a clear hint from the former secretary of state that she just might file a defamation lawsuit against Fox, which is already reeling from a massive $1.6 billion defamation lawsuit filed against the network by Dominion Voting Systems. Dominion has accused Fox of lying about its voting machines.

Trying to play tough guy (which he never has been or ever will be), Wimp Supreme Sean Hannity chided Clinton on his show Thursday evening:

“Malice? Really? It’s called news. Hillary, we invite you to bring it on. It’s from a legal filing. We quoted exactly from the filing that was put in federal court.”

And then something odd happened: Fox went completely silent on the entire Clinton spying conspiracy theory. It was almost like the matter had been wiped from their memories:

In the past six days, John Durham was mentioned 219 times on Fox News, according to TVEyes. But as of 11 a.m. today. his name was mentioned only once by Steve Doocy on Fox & Friends, and it was in the context of Hillary Clinton being asked a question by a reporter.

Hillary threatens a lawsuit and suddenly Fox drops the story like a nuclear potato. Coincidence? Hardly. The network is already facing extinction as a result of the Dominion lawsuit. The very last thing they need is another legal action against them.

Well done, Mrs. Clinton. Thank you for putting a bully in its place.

Trump’s Latest Fox Interview Is An Almost Incomprehensible Word Salad Of Nonsense

Failed one-term former President Donald Trump gave an “exclusive” interview to Fox News Digital on Tuesday, and it’s destined to go down in history as one of the most bizarre and frequently incomprehensible things he’s ever done.

The main topic of discussion was the giant nothing burger of a court filing from Special Counsel John Durham, which Fox has incorrectly labeled an effort by the 2016 Hillary Clinton campaign to spy on Trump.

But as the New York Times notes, nothing could be further from the truth:

Fox News inaccurately declared that Mr. Durham had said he had evidence that Hillary Clinton’s campaign had paid a technology company to “infiltrate” a White House server. The Washington Examiner claimed that this all meant there had been spying on Mr. Trump’s White House office.

Despite that, Trump began the Fox Digital interview by making it sound as if there were more revelations to come from Durham:

“It looks like this is just the beginning, because, if you read the filing and have any understanding of what took place, and I called this a long time ago, you’re going to see a lot of other things happening, having to do with what, really, just is a continuation of the crime of the century. This is such a big event, nobody’s seen anything like this.”

Nobody has seen anything like it because it didn’t take place. But that didn’t keep Trump from adding:

“Who would think a thing like this is even possible? Durham is also coming up with things far bigger than anybody thought possible—Nobody ever thought a thing like this would be even discussed, let alone an act like this committed.”

From there, the discussion devolved into ranting, along with an endless stream of lies and accusations:

“Who would think a thing like this is even possible? Durham is also coming up with things far bigger than anybody thought possible—Nobody ever thought a thing like this would be even discussed, let alone an act like this committed.

“This is treason at the highest level.”

And of course it wouldn’t be a Trump interview without the obligatory attacks on the media:

“Another crime is being committed—and that’s the crime of the media,” Trump said. “The media is absolutely not—they refuse to talk about it and yet it is 10 times bigger than Watergate.

The press is corrupt and they don’t like to cover it. They’re sort of being forced. It is such a big story, I don’t know that they can play the game much longer.”

Trump failed to comment on his own endless legal problems, including news this week that his longtime accounting firm had dropped him as a client and alleged financial statements coming from the Trump Organization are bogus and a figment of the ex-president’s imagination.

Enraged Trump Denies He Flushed Documents Down The Toilet: ‘Who Would Know That?!’

During a Saturday morning phone-in interview with the hosts of “Fox & Friends,” failed, one-term, twice-impeached former President Donald Trump denied a report from Maggie Haberman of the New York Times that he had flushed documents down toilets at the White House while he was still in office, but offered zero proof to rebut what Haberman claimed.

Co-host Will Cain teed up the subject for the loser ex-president:

“There’s a national conversation that seems to be completely out of touch with the American people at every step of the way, and I think one of those examples might be the latest obsession President Trump, which is, again, and always seemingly about you. Maggie Haberman of the New York Times has a book out she has been discussing on CNN and the other platforms. The big take away is that you have ripped up papers and flushed them down the toilet. What is your reaction on what you’re hearing on other mainstream media channels in this book by Maggie Haberman?”

Rather than use facts to counter Haberman, Trump turned to his usual rhetoric about “fake news” and how everything it the fault of the media:

“Yeah it’s fake news and she’s a fake writer. She got a Pulitzer Prize for Russia, Russia, Russia, and then they found out it was a hoax. And so did others. Frankly the ones that get Pulitzer Prizes they happen to work around you and around Pete. And I will tell you, it’s a disgrace.”

The Russia story, it should be noted, was NOT a hoax. Several members of the Trump 2016 campaign were in close touch with Russian nationals and had in-person meetings to obtain “dirt” on Hillary Clinton.

Trump then focused in on Haberman’s upcoming book, Confidence Man (which is the perfect title for a book about Con Man Don), which you can rest assured he wouldn’t read even if he had an advance copy:

“But, no, it’s a totally false story. She made it up. I don’t believe they have sources. Who is going to be a source for that anyway? Who would know that? There is no source. They make it up. You know, they oftentimes, these fake writers like her, they act like they know me like she knows me. I haven’t spoken to her in a very, very long time. She knows me no better than any other writer. They write books like they know and then they make things like that up. There would be no way of her knowing if it were the fact. There would be no way of her understanding that or knowing it. But it’s a totally fake story made up by her.”

There was also the obligatory attempt by the failed former president to blame every problem in the world on the news media:

“As much of the news is, I will tell you, this country we have to get honest reporting. Because if we don’t get honest reporting. It’s really leading us down a bad path. And it’s really leading us down a path of anger.”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GaKxg06zzrE

Where exactly are we supposed to get that “honest reporting”? From Fox? Even Fox admits its hosts shouldn’t be taken seriously.

Is Newsmax “honest reporting”? Hardly! What about One America News (OAN)? All they do is push one conspiracy theory after another.

Want to know how you can tell the revelation of Toiletgate from Haberman is true? You need look no further than the anger coming from Trump and his surrogates in response to the report.
