Abortion GOP WTF?!

Lindsey Graham Has A Full-Scale Hissy Fit After CNN Host Fact-Checks Him On Abortion Laws

South Carolina Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham had pitched a massive hissy fit during an appearance on CNN Sunday morning when host Dana Bash dared to fact-check him on the issue of abortion and the laws regarding the procedure.

Appearing on “State of the Union,” Graham was discussing the usage of the Comstock Act to possibly ban the abortion drug mifepristone, which led Bash to ask if the senator agreed with Donald Trump that such matters should be decided by the states or if he thought former Vice President Mike Pence was right to suggest that abortion should be banned at the federal level.

Rather than respond, Graham threw mud, incorrectly suggesting the Democrats are in favor of “barbaric” abortions up until the very moment of birth, which led Bash to note, “Just for the record, Roe went up to viability.”

Graham got red in the face and raised his voice as he stated, “No! No! No! Quit covering for these guys! No, no, no! You’re media, you keep covering for these guys! They introduced legislation that allowed abortion on demand with taxpayer-funded [abortion] up to the moment of birth. That was their position in Washington! That’s the law they want to pass, and nobody in your business will talk about it!”

Bash retorted, “Senator. I’m not covering for anybody. You know that, and when I have Democrats on, I’ve asked many — all of them — about their position on where they believe this issue should be.”

“My question for you, sir, is about President Trump, who you’ve endorsed to be president again. Is he right in saying that this issue should be a state’s issue?”

Instead of replying to the question, Graham could only manage that was certain Trump iss opposed to later-term abortion, which had nothing to do with Bash’s question.

Here’s a suggesting for Sen. Graham: Since you can’t possibly have an abortion or give birth to anything but exaggeration and lies, let women and their doctors decide. The government has no role in family planning decisions.

Pete Buttigieg Only Needs 7 Words To School Lauren Boebert For One Of Her Moronic Tweets

All week long, Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) has been attacking Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg, trying to blame every airport delay or train derailment on him and suggesting that he’s not qualified for the job he holds in the Biden administration.

Boebert posted a photoshopped picture of her putting out a fire in front of a derailed train with the message, “Out here preparing for Mayor Pete’s next derailment.”

Rather than stoop to Boebert’s level (which is the level of a multiple failure when it comes to passing the GED test), Buttigieg used seven words to school Boebert on who’s really to blame for train accidents: Her and her colleagues in the Republican caucus.

Secretary Buttigieg also laid some other painful knowledge on the Colorado dunce:

“We estimate its impact on FRA would mean about 1,000 fewer rail safety inspection days next year and 30,000 fewer miles of track inspected annually. If you care about preventing derailments, please change course and help us increase accountability for freight railroads.”

Of course, it’s highly unlikely that Boebert will understand a word of what Buttigieg told her on Twitter, but others on the platform had some choice words for the Colorado Republican.

Democrats Say Jim Jordan Fabricated Evidence To Incriminate Hunter Biden

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) has been trying to slag President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter, for years now, and is so desperate that he’s now been busted fabricating “evidence” to make Hunter Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken look like they’re part of a conspiracy and cover-up.

Jordan used the Twitter account for the judiciary committee to send out a scurrilous allegation.

#BREAKING: Testimony Reveals Secretary Blinken and the Biden Campaign Were Behind the Infamous Public Statement from Former Intel Officials on the Hunter Biden Laptop

@Jim_Jordan and @RepMikeTurner reveal HUGE news here:”

But as Democrats on the committee point out, the unedited testimony clearly shows that Mike Morell testified he was never asked to write a letter about Hunter Biden’s laptop.

Here’s the testimony:

A spokesperson for Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee released a statement excoriating Jordan and his Republican cohorts.

To smear Secretary Blinken and sensationalize a three-year-old tabloid story, Jim Jordan has released cherry-picked excerpts of a transcribed interview.  To be clear, no part of that interview demonstrates that Tony Blinken or any other Biden campaign official asked Mike Morell to write a letter about Hunter Biden’s laptop.

Mr. Morell is a former CIA Deputy Director and a highly decorated veteran of the intelligence community.  For years, he has advised leaders of both parties—including Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who awarded Mr. Morell a Director’s Award for distinguished service.

At no point during his interview did Mr. Morell testify that Secretary Blinken directed or asked him to write any letters.  Instead, Mr. Morell testified that Mr. Blinken sought his advice, as many others have.   In response to questions posed by Chairman Jordan’s own lawyers, he testified that Mr. Blinken did not “direct, suggest, or insinuate in any way” that he should write a letter about Hunter Biden’s laptop.  Nor did Mr. Blinken—then a private citizen—try to get at the letter indirectly.  Mr. Morell testified that Mr. Blinken did not hint that the Biden campaign “could use some help on this” or suggest that Mr. Morell should “cook up something” that the campaign should use.

Instead of focusing on issues that actually affect American families, Chairman Jordan is engaged in yet another political stunt.  This time, he is using taxpayer resources to chase down the origins of a letter written by private citizens, expressing their private opinion, related to a story cooked up by Rudy Giuliani in the last few days of the Trump Administration.

Jim Jordan’s obsession with Hunter Biden and his repeated efforts to try and impugn the integrity of President Biden are failing, so now he’s resorting to lies. Could it be because he still hasn’t testified under oath about his actions on January 6, 2021?

Elon Musk’s Pathetic Attempt To Troll Stephen King Backfires Badly On Him

Twitter CEO Elon Musk, apparently hoping to garner some positive media buzz as he watches the social media platform continue to tank, thought it’d be a great idea to let the world know that he’s paying for some celebrities to have a verified account, even though everyone else has to pay $8 a month for a blue check next to their screen name.

According to Time, “The costs of keeping the marks range from $8 a month for individual web users to a starting price of $1,000 monthly to verify an organization, plus $50 monthly for each affiliate or employee account. Twitter does not verify the individual accounts, as was the case with the previous blue check doled out during the platform’s pre-Musk administration.”

Celebrity users, from basketball star LeBron James to author Stephen King and Star Trek’s William Shatner, have balked at joining — although on Thursday, all three had blue checks indicating that the account paid for verification.

King was even more emphatic.

“My Twitter account says I’ve subscribed to Twitter Blue. I haven’t. My Twitter account says I’ve given a phone number. I haven’t.”

That led Musk to respond: “You’re welcome namaste”

It seems that Musk intended his move as a form of trolling, but as many others on Twitter noted, it reeked of desperation and failed miserably.

Is it really any surprise that Twitter has lost half of its value since Musk took over?

Marco Rubio Gets Pilloried On Twitter After Whining ‘They’ Haven’t Fixed Florida’s Gas Shortage

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) decided he’d post a video of himself on Twitter whining about the four-day gas shortage in the Sunshine State that has been caused by the torrential rains that have led to widespread supply chain issues in portions of the state.

However, in his video, Rubio suggested that he didn’t understand why “they” haven’t fixed the problem, even though he’s a senator and has major pull in Florida. Oh, and he’s also buddies with the state’s governor, Ron DeSantis, who has been on an extended out of state publicity tour for his new book and expected run for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination.

In the video, Rubio says:

“What’s happening right now in Miami and to Fort Lauderdale with gasoline is crazy. You can’t find gasoline anywhere.”

Rubio also remarked, “This has been going on since Sunday. And they’re blaming it on the floods that impacted the ports, and I know that was a factor but it’s been four days. This should have been figured out by now. “They keep saying it’s going to get better but it’s not. They got to get this thing fixed. This is crazy.”

Can’t find gasoline anywhere? That’s a lie, according to Patrick De Haan, head of Gasbuddy’s petroleum analysis, who notes there are “millions of gallons of gasoline still waiting to be delivered.” However, CBS News reports that it will “take about a week for things to get back to normal.”

DeHaan also mocked Rubio and his absurd video.

“glad there’s no denial here that there’s a *lot* of stations without gasoline in SE FL. yes, pumps should have been put back in order by now and facilities brought back. but unfortunately that hasn’t happened yet. we have data and insights, but no one in Florida has asked for it.”

But it was the reference to “they” that drew the most comments on social media, where the Florida senator was reminded that “they” are him and DeSantis.
