Warnock Destroys Walker In Georgia Senate Debate: Herschel ‘Has A Problem With The Truth’

The Friday evening debate between Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA) and his Republican opponent, Herschel Walker, wound up being a blowout, with Warnock reminding voters that Walker says one thing one day and another the next, meaning he cannot be trusted.

When he was asked if he supported gun safety legislation, Walker said he would never vote for any bill that would impact the Second Amendment and then attacked Warnock for suggesting some members of law enforcement cannot be trusted.

“And because of the name calling he’s done, the morale is down, recruitment is down, only because of what he’s done. He’s empowered criminals to think they’re better than police.

“He don’t protect the border, fentanyl is coming into this country — also into Atlanta Seventy percent of the drugs coming from the border goes to Atlanta, Georgia.”

Asked for a response, Warnock replied:

“We will see time and time again tonight, as we’ve already seen, that my opponent has a problem with the truth. And just because he said something doesn’t mean it’s true.”

Warnock then leveled his opponent with this line:

“One thing I have not done, I’ve never pretended to be a police office. And I’ve never threatened a shootout with the police.”

Rather than admit he had lied about being a police officer, Walker flashed a fake badge and was scolded by the moderator for violating debate rules by using a prop.

Among the other lies Walker has told along the campaign trail, according to The New Republic:

  • Reporting from The Daily Beast, including receipts and a “Get well” card, revealed that Walker, who opposes abortions without exceptions, in fact paid for his girlfriend’s abortion.
  • Walker’s campaign claimed last December that Walker has a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and graduated in the top 1 percent of his class from the University of Georgia. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution looked into the claim and found it was false.
  • Walker claimed in January to be Native American on his mother’s side, stating that his grandmother was a “full-blooded Cherokee.” His own mother was unable to confirm these claims in an interview with HuffPost.

WATCH Ron Johnson Get Laughed At By Debate Audience When He Claims ‘The FBI Set Me Up’

Wisconsin Republican Sen. Ron Johnson was laughed at Thursday evening during a debate with his Democratic opponent, Mandela Barnes, when he suggested that the FBI had set him up in order to humiliate him on the issue of Russia.

Mediaite notes that Barnes and Johnson were asked about the ongoing attack by Russia in Ukraine. Barnes said the United States should continue to support Ukraine and then referenced something Johnson had said.

In April 2021, reports circulated saying the FBI warned Johnson he may be targeted by Russia as part of an influence operation. Johnson conceded last year that the meeting had taken place.

“Regarding reports that I received an FBI briefing warning me that I was a target of Russian disinformation, I can confirm I received such a briefing in August of 2020,” Johnson told the Washington Post.

Barnes noted the briefing during the debate.

Barnes then added:

“There was also an instance where Senator Johnson had to be sat down by the FBI and warned that he may be a Russian asset. We cannot trust Senator Johnson to protect democracy abroad because we can’t even trust Senator Johnson to protest democracy here at home.”

That led Johnson to respond:

“In response to the wild charge of Lieutenant Gov. Barnes, the FBI set me up with a corrupt – with a corrupt – briefing and then leaked that to smear me.”

The led to laughter among the audience, but Johnson only doubled down, suggesting that the FBI was corrupt and he was working to “uncover and expose” that corruption.

Did the FBI “set up” Sen. Johnson when he agreed to travel to Russia on July 4, 2018, as Roll Call reported at the time?

One of the Republican senators back from a trip to Moscow is suggesting that Congress went too far in punishing Russia for meddling in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.

“I’ve been pretty upfront that the election interference — as serious as that was, and unacceptable — is not the greatest threat to our democracy,” Sen. Ron Johnson said in an interview with the Washington Examiner published over the weekend. “We’ve blown it way out of proportion.”

“We need to really honestly assess what actually happened, what effect did it have, and what effect are our sanctions actually having, positively and negatively,” the Republican from Wisconsin said.

And yet Johnson wonders why anyone would dare call him a Russian asset.

Voters In Marjorie Taylor Greene’s District Trash Her: ‘She’s Not Very Bright And She’s A Bully’

While it’s widely believed that Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) will probably emerge victorious in the upcoming midterm election, a report from The Guardian suggests that more than a few voters in Greene’s district are sick and tired of her being their congressional representative.

That’s especially true in the biggest city Greene represents, Rome, Georgia.

Julie Svardh, 49, an insurance agent, said: “I’m embarrassed to be from her district. She’s a national laughingstock. The things that she says, she doesn’t know basic words. She couples off with the worst people in Washington and is very annoying. She’s not bright and she’s a bully. She’s definitely not somebody you want representing where you live.”

How did Greene get elected in the first place? Svardh replied: “People blindly supported Trump in this area and so anyone who supported that person just got lumped in. People didn’t read a lot or really look at the details and see what people stand for.

So why did Greene win in the first place, and why is she still popular with large numbers of her constituents despite the fact that she isn’t on any committees and really hasn’t done anything to help her district since being elected two years ago? Well, it has a lot to do with right-wing media such as Fox News, according to John Bailey, executive editor of The Rome News-Tribune newspaper.

Do you have reasonable people who don’t consume good information? A lot. I’m not saying these are dumb people, I’m just saying their information consumption is habitually bad.

“I have friends who are intelligent people but their information consumption habits have been bad for a long time. They don’t intelligently consume media. Top that on decades of ‘those politicians don’t care about us’, top that on ‘the media is looking for an angle’.”

Unfortunately, for every anti-Greene voter, there could be two more who think she’s the greatest thing in the world.

Cookie Wozniak, 77, said: “She’s a fighter. I believe in her, I have a lot of respect for her. She’s a real bulldog and a true patriot. I worry about our country being so divisive and they’re using the race card on everything. People want to destroy our history.”

Carla McFarland, 65, an air force veteran and retired nurse practitioner, added: I have always been impressed from the first that I heard she was runningNothing has changed my core belief in not only Marjorie Taylor Greene but the Maga [Make America great again] America First thought process.”

Seems that stupid may indeed win out over sensible when all the ballots are counted in Greene’s district.

Jim Jordan In Danger Of Losing Reelection As Sex Abuse Survivor Group Resurrects His Ugly Past

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) may think he won’t have any trouble winning another term in the House of Representatives, but a group of survivors who say they were sexually abused by a team doctor while Jordan was an assistant wrestling coach at Ohio State University, are trying to derail the congressman’s bid for reelection.

According to WCMH-TV, the group says Jordan’s failure to report what was happening makes him unfit for any elected office.

Some survivors of sexual violence at the hands of former Ohio State University physician Richard Strauss have taken their advocacy to Ohio’s 4th U.S. House District race, where Democratic hopeful Tamie Wilson faces an uphill struggle against incumbent Republican Jim Jordan.

Abused by the team doctor under the guise of medical exams from 1978 to 1998, the survivors – some of whom donned “#MeToo Jordan Knew” T-shirts outside Ohio Stadium on Saturday during an Ohio State football game – argued Jordan’s failure to protect them from a predator makes him unfit for office.

Jordan’s Democratic challenger, Tamie Wilson, had this to say about the incumbent congressman:

“Character matters. If this guy is going to be a part of sexual abuse, he’s not going to defend the Constitution or our country.”

For his part, Jordan says any allegations against him are unfounded and not supported by some who have reached out to him.

“The number of wrestlers who have reached out to me, who’ve said this is complete baloney. We’ve got statements that have been sent to us, people willing to help and tell the truth. We’ll continue to get that information out.”

And yet, dozens of former student athletes report that Dr. Strauss, between the years of 1979 to 1996, performed medically unnecessary genital exams, which they reported to university officials, including Jordan. Yet nothing was reported by those officials and Strauss continued to molest young boys.

Strauss survivor Tom Lisy notes:

“His coverup of the OSU sexual assault is the real crime, the real slight. There’s guys I know who trained with him every day and they went through a journey together and he has completely turned his back to them.”

Whiny Capitol Rioters Demand They Be Transferred To Prison At Guantanamo Bay

Some of the people who allegedly took part in the January 6, 2021 riots at the U.S. Capitol are now demanding that they be transferred to the military prison at Guantanamo Bay because they claim they’ll be treated better there.

According to Vice News, the prisoners are part of what’s known as the “Patriot Wing.”

Thirty-four detainees who are either awaiting trial or serving sentences in connection with the violent riot at the Capitol signed a letter re-asserting their outrage over the conditions in the federal correctional facility in Washington, D.C. They include standard complaints from American jails, like mold in showers, rust in the water, mice and cockroaches. The letter also rattles off more unusual criticisms like “Critical Race Theory” or “Re-education” propaganda on the tablets provided to inmates, being mocked by jail staff with Kamala Harris-related attire, or receiving punishment for expressing “any political views whatsoever.”

Guantanamo Bay, the alleged rioters assert, provides “nutritional meals” and “top-notch medical care” and is “respectful of religious requirements.”

Gitmo, they write, would be preferable to “remaining trapped within the wretched confines of cruel and unusual punishment of the D.C. jail.”

“We hereby request to spend our precious and limited days, should the government continue to insist on holding us captive unconstitutionally as pre-trial detainees, to be transferred and reside at Guantanamo Bay,” the letter reads.

Of course, what the prisoners fail to mention is that the very reason they’re currently incarcerated is because they took part in criminal acts and attempted to overthrow the elected government of the United States, which makes them domestic terrorists, and even Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) called the insurrection a “terrorist attack.” Proving his immense cowardice, Cruz later recanted, saying his remarks were “sloppy” and “frankly dumb,” during an appearance on Fox News.

While the rioters are certainly worthy of being treated like the terrorists they are, they don’t deserve to name where they should be housed while awaiting trial. If they have a problem with bad food, mold, and roaches, they should have stayed home on Jan. 6 instead of taking part in an illegal act.
