Marjorie Taylor Greene Whines That House Democrats Are ‘Trying To Trigger Me’

Georgia Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has things so bad (according to her) that she can tell Democrats in the House of Representatives are trying to “trigger” her and make her angry.

During an interview on right-wing schlock “network” Real America’s Voice, Greene said she was upset with comments made by Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) made shortly after Devon Archer, a former business associate of Hunter Biden’s, had failed to connect President Joe Biden to any crimes or wrongdoing.

“And he uses his job every single day to continue to prosecute President Trump in our committee hearings, no matter the issue, no matter the topic,” she whined. “He finds any way possible to attack President Trump in the five minutes that he’s given on our very important committee hearings. Not only does he attack President Trump, he attacks me much of the time.”

Even worse, Greene continued, is that Goldman often speaks immediately before or after she has made her remarks during committee hearings.

“For some reason, they always schedule it to where Dan Goldman is usually speaking after me at some point or possibly right before me,” she complained. “And I think that’s, I think that’s part of the plan.”

Then came the comment about Democrats attempting to “trigger her.”

“They’re trying to trigger me, make me angry. All of his five-minute testimonies and questioning towards our witnesses are always, again, prosecutor mode going after President Trump or trying to trigger me and others on our committees to be angry and attack him back.”

Poor poor pitiful Margie! She can’t get an word in edgewise without a Democrat doing a fact-check on her and making her look like the lying insurrectionist she is and will always be.

If Marge hates her job so much, why doesn’t she resign and go back to bedding every man who walks through the door of her sweat-infested gym in North Georgia? After all, at least she was good at being a serial adulterer.

A Decision Trump Made As President Could Wind Up Devastating New York City

During his four years as the worst president in U.S. history, Donald Trump made some incredibly stupid and dangerous decisions, including one that could prove disastrous for the city of New York, according to Stephen Marche, author of The Next Civil War: Dispatches from the American Future.

Marche spoke with Molly Jong-Fast of The Daily Beast and revealed the potentially fatal mistake made by Trump during his time in office.

Marche notes that during the Trump administration, the federal government pulled all funding for a seawall that could potentially protect Manhattan from a possible hurricane that stands to destroy most of New York’s infrastructure:

“The models when a hurricane hits New York are incredibly strong. Miami and New Orleans are very nice towns, but New York is New York and 88 percent of the world’s international currency goes through, it’s still the capital of the world really.”

New York faces another obstacle should such a natural disaster strike the city, Marche added:

“It’s also unrebuildable. When it floods, the density of the infrastructure is so thick that, unlike Miami or Houston or New Orleans, they won’t won’t bee able to rebuild it.”

In February of last year, the New York Times reported on Trump’s decision not to build the much-needed seawall:

“The Trump administration has unexpectedly halted a project to protect the New York City region from flooding during dangerous storms like Hurricane Sandy — a decision that came six weeks after President Trump took to Twitter to ridicule the study’s most expensive proposal, a giant sea wall that could have cost billions of dollars.”

That report from the Times included a suggestion that the decision to leave New York City vulnerable may well have been a political one; a final middle finger to the city and state where the ex-president is under multiple criminal investigations that could end up bankrupting his corporation and sending him and members of his family to prison:

“While Mr. Trump cannot single-handedly cancel a Corps project — the funding is allocated by Congress, and its work plan is determined jointly by Corps officials, the Department of Defense and the White House Office of Management and Budget — the unusual suspension of an ongoing project quickly led to speculation that politics had played a role. Mr. Trump’s tweet, in January, criticized one of the five possible proposals to reduce storm flooding along New York Harbor and its rivers: a sea barrier with retractable gates that would stretch from New Jersey to Queens.”

Imagine the human and financial cost of a major hurricane striking New York and devastating Manhattan. It would bring banking, business, and media to a standstill as Trump plays golf and laughs at the mayhem he’s caused with his inaction.

E. Jean Carroll’s Attorney Has A Warning For Trump That’s Certain To Infuriate Him

Ever since a New York jury found that failed one-term, twice-impeached former president Donald Trump did indeed sexually assault and defame writer E. Jean Carroll and awarded her $5 million in damages, the disgraced ex-head of state has been lashing out on social media, and that could wind up leading to him being charged with defamation yet again.

Carroll’s attorney, Roberta Kaplan, spoke with Dahlia Lithwick of Slate, and she made it clear that Trump had best shut his trap and stop making inflammatory postings.

Lithwick asked Kaplan about Trump’s disgusting comments during his CNN town hall, where he called Carroll a “wack job,” said the trial had been a “rigged deal,” and asked the studio audience, “What kind of a woman meets somebody, and brings them up, and within minutes you’re playing hanky panky in a dressing room?”

Kaplan replied, “I knew he would continue to deny it. But once the jury came back and the CNN Town Hall was on, we knew they were going to ask about it. And we knew he wasn’t going to say, ‘OK, now I admit it, I was wrong.”

She added:

“I’m so sorry E. Jean, that I did that to you. We knew that wasn’t gonna happen. I think I was a little stunned that he used exactly the same language. He basically repeated the defamation in ways that make it very easy for us to not have to prove a future case on the merits, because we’re gonna get what’s called collateral estoppel or issue preclusion. So that wasn’t maybe wisest thing for him to do.”

“I’m watching to see if he keeps doing it, though. I mean, I think the threat of [losing] more and more money may ultimately tone down what he says at some point,” Kaplan explained.

Though he’s clearly ignorant when it comes to the law, Kaplan noted, he understands what it means to be on the hook for a $5 million judgment.

“I think he understands money. One thing Donald Trump understands is money, and $5 million for Donald Trump is not nothing. And there’s really no viable appellate argument. So he’s going to have to pay that $5 million with interest sooner than he thinks he’s gonna have to pay it. He’ll have to pay interest from the time of the judgment. Yeah. That’s 9 percent … I’m not even sure he’s got $5 million in liquidity. He may have to sell something to pay you the $5 million.”

Judge Allows Wrongful Death Suit Against Kyle Rittenhouse To Move Forward

A federal judge in Madison, Wisconsin has ruled that a wrongful death lawsuit filed against Kyle Rittenhouse by the father of a man shot and killed by Rittenhouse in August 2020 can proceed as planned.

According to PBS, attorneys for Rittenhouse had sought to have the suit dismissed.

U.S. District Judge Lynn Adelman on Wednesday dismissed motions filed by Rittenhouse and the government defendants seeking to dismiss the civil rights lawsuit.

In allowing the case against Rittenhouse and the others to proceed, the judge said that Anthony Huber’s death “could plausibly be regarded as having been proximately caused by the actions of the governmental defendants.”

Rittenhouse had argued that the case against him should be dismissed because he wasn’t properly served with the lawsuit. Adelman dismissed that, saying that Rittenhouse “is almost certainly evading service.”

Attorneys for Huber said they spent over 100 hours trying to locate Rittenhouse so he could be served, with Judge Adelman noting in his ruling, “Rittenhouse has been deliberately cagey about his whereabouts. Although he denies living in Florida, he does not identify the place that he deems to be his residence.”

Anand Swaminathan, an attorney for the Huber family, said the judge’s ruling means his clients are now “one step closer to justice for their son’s needless death.”

“The Kenosha officials that created a powder keg situation by their actions tried to claim that they cannot be held accountable for their unconstitutional conduct; that argument was soundly rejected today.”

Rittenhouse was criminally charged with homicide and reckless endangerment for the shooting deaths of Anthony Huber and Joseph Rosenbaum. He traveled to Kenosha from his home in Illinois, complete with an AR-15 style assault rifle. He later said he had done so to protect businesses that were at risk when riots began after a white Kenosha police officer shot Jacob Blake, a black man.

In November of 2021, Rittenhouse was acquitted on all charges after he claimed he acted in self-defense. Since his acquittal, he has become a darling of right-wing media and gun rights groups.
