New Grand Jury Seated In Manhattan As Case Against Trump Expands Again: Report

A second long-term grand jury has just been seated in Manhattan, according to the Washington Post, and the legal investigation of failed, one-term former President Donald Trump and his company, the Trump Organization, has expanded yet again.

The new grand jury, empaneled by Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr., will meet for three days a week over the next six months:

It was expected to hear evidence on Thursday, meeting in Manhattan’s Surrogate’s Court — usually a forum for disputes over the estates of the deceased — because the criminal court buildings are jammed with a rush of post-pandemic trials.

One person familiar with the matter said the second grand jury was expected to examine how former president Donald Trump’s company valued its assets.

The first grand jury investigated possible tax fraud by members of the Trump Organization, which resulted in the indictment of Allen Weisselberg, the chief financial officer of Trump Organization who allegedly hid compensation from the IRS that was paid to them by the ex-president.

Trump and his company are also under investigation by New York Attorney General Letitia James:

James (D) said in a court filing last year that her office was investigating Trump’s valuations of three properties: his Los Angeles golf course, a Manhattan office building and an estate in suburban New York called Seven Springs.

James’s filing said she was interested in a “conservation easement” that Trump obtained on the Seven Springs property in 2015 — giving him tax benefits in exchange for renouncing his right to build houses on part of the estate. Trump boosted the value of that tax break by estimating that the land would have brought him $21 million if he’d sold it.

The Trumps have repeatedly whined that they are being targeted by the legal system for political reasons, with Trump Org. Executive Vice President Eric Trump saying:

“This type of targeting and harassment violates every ethical guideline of a prosecutor. It’s wrong.”

‘Karen’ Taylor Greene Gets Humiliated When She Berates A Warden At A Jail Holding Jan. 6 Rioters

When you consider how much she whines and complains about everything, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene really needs to change her name to “Karen.”

For example, Karen Taylor Greene showed up at a jail in Washington, D.C. (along with Rep. Louie Gohmert of Texas) and demanded to visit with some of the Jan. 6 rioters/insurrectionists who are being held there, with Greene telling a deputy warden who denied the two entry (because they didn’t get approval from the Federal Bureau of Prisons in advance) that she was convinced he was “hiding” something:

“What do you have to hide here? Really, what are you hiding? I would like to see the whole facility. I’m concerned about every single person staying here.”

The warden refused her and Gohmert entry, asking in a calm, even tone:

“Is there anything else I can do for you?”

Clearly in need of a hearing aid, Greene remarked:

“Yes, you can open this door.”

Once again as calm as can be, the jail official told her:

“I’ll give you the phone number to the director’s office.”

Getting even more agitated, Greene retorted:

“You cannot deny them visitors. You’re clearly out of line in your position.”

At that point, Gohmert laughably suggested that he could have the deputy warden held in “contempt” by a federal judge, adding:

“We’ll be seeing you again.”

But what’s even more amazing is that Greene seemed to think the confrontation at the jail had been a win for her, so she shared a video of it on Twitter:

While her video will probably be a big hit with her acolytes (most of whom are the same brainless zombies that worship the failed, one-term former president), Karen Taylor Greene was quickly taken apart by others on social media, with many noting that the entire episode had been little more than a setup to garner attention:

Tucker Carlson Says It’s ‘Appalling’ Trump Hasn’t Sent Money To Any Of The Jan. 6 Rioters

Proving yet again that he’s one of the most willfully ignorant people on the planet, Fox News host Tucker Carlson says he’s upset that failed, one-term former President Donald Trump hasn’t sent a dime of money to any of the Jan. 6 rioters.

According to Mediaite, Carlson had this to say during an interview he was conducting:

Carlson, while interviewing right-wing commentator Julie Kelly, said he finds it “appalling” that Trump had yet to donate any money to his supporters who were arrested on January 6th at the U.S. Capitol.

Since leaving office, Trump has continued to raise large sums of money from supporters with claims to fight election fraud and help elect Republicans. As of July, the last federal reporting date, Trump’s three major fundraising operations declared more than $100 million in cash on hand.

Specifically, Carlson said he found it “appalling” that Trump hadn’t shared any of that $100 million with the insurrectionists:

“People are going to be offended that I ask this, but I can’t control myself. What about the president on whose behalf they were gathered that day? Has anybody sent them money? The people around him, Brad Parscale, all these people are getting rich, right? Complaining that the last election was rigged, which it clearly was, obviously. And they’re making all this money and all these people are sending all this money down to Florida. But is any of that money going to defend these people who went to this rally on behalf of that candidate?”

Kelly, who has been fond of sharing election conspiracy theories, agreed with Carlson, remarking:

“Not that I know of. And I will say no. No. And it’s a question that I have been asking myself and I a lot of them have been asking too. A lot of them were there to support Trump. They were there to protest the election being taken from him unlawfully. But aside, really, from a few comments about political prisoners — he has said a few things about Ashli Babbitt — to my knowledge… no, there has not been any financial aide coming from anyone of a prominent position to help these people.”

That led Carlson to go all-in on his condemnation of the notoriously greedy Trump:

“I just find that appalling. I really do. I really find that appalling.”

Do you, Tucker? Then why don’t you give Dotard Donnie a phone call and tell him the exact same thing you just said? He’d probably take your call, and what would it hurt?

You’d think Carlson would know that Trump isn’t exactly known for being generous with his money. He’s planning to use that $100 million to try and run for another term in 2024 or to help pay some of his loans, many of which are coming due in the near future.

What’s really “appalling” is that it took this long for Tucker Carlson to temporarily pull his head out of his ass, look around, and acknowledge that Donald Trump doesn’t give a damn about anyone but himself.

QAnon Faithful Gather In Dallas To Await The ‘Second Coming’ Of JFK Jr.

Last night in Dallas, supporters of the QAnon conspiracy theory began gathering at the AT&T Discovery Plaza to await the return of John F. Kennedy Jr., who died in a 1999 plane crash.

However, according to those who are assembling in Dallas, the son of the late President John F. Kennedy actually faked his death and will soon reappear on the public stage to help them bring down the so-called “Deep State” they believe is in control of the U.S. government and other countries around the world.

Yes, according to the QAnoners, we’re about to see the second coming of JFK Jr. Why he’s waited 22 years to show up again is unclear, as are most of the absurdities championed by the conspiracy theorists who also worship failed, one-term former President Donald Trump as a demigod.

Some in the Dallas assemblage, according to reporters, were wearing T-shirts suggesting that JFK Jr. will be Trump’s running mate in 2024. Others have suggested that John F. Kennedy Sr. is still alive and will soon “transfer power” to the Donald, according to Newsweek.

Just so you know, all of this is supposed to take place on Tuesday, so at least we won’t have to wait long for the QAnon nutjobs to realize that once again their timing is off by a couple of decades. Of course, that also means they’ll probably just change the date and meet up again in a month or two on some other day they’ll assure us is “auspicious” for a return of all sorts of deceased celebs. Maybe Harry Houdini can be there and transform the crowd into a pack of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles who will wander the face of the earth and avenge all of the nincompoops who believe bullshit conspiracy theories.

None of this should surprise anyone who knows the core belief at the center of the QAnon brainwashing canon:

“The QAnon conspiracy, which originated on online message boards, holds that an elite global cabal of Satanic pedophiles is engaged in mass child sex trafficking and that, somehow, former President Donald Trump will expose this group and order its members arrested and sentenced to death.”

Meanwhile, somewhere in eternity, John F. Kennedy Jr. is laughing his ass off.

Trump Releases Statement On VA Governor’s Race That May Doom The GOP Candidate

For months now, Virginia GOP gubernatorial candidate Glenn Youngkin has been trying to distance himself from failed, one-term, twice-impeached former President Donald Trump because he doesn’t want to be directly associated with a man as controversial and tarnished as the Donald.

And yet, on the eve of the election in the state, Trump decided he’d tie himself to Youngkin with a statement that could well doom the Republican when voters go to the polls tomorrow.

Politico reports that the Trump statement — released via his spokesperson — makes it clear that the ex-president sees Youngkin as a carbon copy of himself:

“The Fake News media, together with some of the perverts doing ads ad nauseam on primarily Fox (Fox shouldn’t take those ads!), are trying to create an impression that Glenn Youngkin and I are at odds and don’t like each other.

“Importantly, this is not true, we get along very well together and strongly believe in many of the same policies.”

That statement is exactly what Younkin’s Democratic opponent, Terry McAuliffe, has been saying for months now and reiterated shortly after Trump sent out his statement:

“Since launching his campaign, Glenn Youngkin has made it clear he is running for governor for one person and one person only: Donald Trump. Now, with less than 24 hours until Election Day, Trump is helping Glenn close his campaign and rewarding his total allegiance for the last eight months.”

Quite simply, Trump may have just doomed Glenn Youngkin. The election will likely come down to turnout, but Trump’s enthusiastic embrace of the Virginia Republican could turn off lots of independent voters who haven’t yet made up their minds about how they’ll cast their ballot on Tuesday.

If you watch election returns Tuesday evening, keep a close eye on Northern Virginia. That’s where Democrats get their biggest share of votes in the state, and that’s where Youngkin will probably come up short, if only by a few points.

But in a race as close as the one between Youngkin and McAuliffe, a few points may be the margin of victory. And having an albatross like Trump around your neck is not something any candidate wants the day before votes are cast.
